Baby Reindeer
(2024)

Meh...
The first episode okay...then it just got into the story of a gay guy in denial. I mean you are dating a transwoman...you might be gay. You meet a guy that I guessed was gay before they finished their first dialogue in the bar. Then he knows the guy is basically raping him while he is drugged out and keeps coming back...gay much? Yeah the plot at this point just got boring...drugs, gay guys, rape, drugs gay guys rape...wash rinse repeat. I couldn't get through the entire third episode. I mean if you are gay with a rape fetish...then this is the show for you! Otherwise this is just seriously deranged writing by someone who is either bored or demendted.

Revelation Road 2: The Sea of Glass and Fire
(2013)

Too bad...
You know for what I assume was a low budget film it was actually not too bad. However all of the Jesus references are really annoying. I mean I assume this was paid for by a Christian producer or something but its SO much and SO often that it really takes the enjoyment out of the movie. Its like squashing a holy roller mass into a sci-fi movie. I would be embarrassed to recommend this film to anyone. Which is really too bad because if the Christian religious references were reduced by even 25% it would be more than tolerable. I mean I am a Christian and its even annoying for me...so I can't imagine how bad it would be for someone of a different faith to try and watch this movie. Oh and I posted this and am now revising my review because my first review was at 30 minutes into the film. I am lowering the vote. I had to actually quit the movie which is saying something as I watch even the worst of movies through if possible. They should have a warning label at the start stating "This is an annoyingly Christian movie. The first part of the series was much better. This one took the Christian references to a point that was just absurd. Too bad other than the over the top preaching it was a decent movie. I made it a little over an hour before I had to quit. I can't even fathom the third part of the series. Hallelujah and praise be to Jesus that I can't be forced to watch episode 3.

Elysium
(2013)

I actually thought the movie was mildly entertaining...
I mildly enjoyed the movie until unfortunately the socialist ending left me a bit unsettled.

So somehow a space station population of maybe tens of thousands of people, having just had their computers reprogrammed is going to save literally hundreds of millions and maybe billions of people with some robots and technology??? Oh and once they are all healthy, they can then do what? Starve to death because they too can now live forever??? Ironically the ending that was supposed to be uplifting was just sad to me. I am all for an ending where the huddled masses are finally given a chance to raise themselves up. This ending to me however was a sick reflection on the future of our world, which is that we all need to be taken care of by robots and automatized governments. The ending thoroughly ruined the movie for me.

Never write reviews...
No spoiler here unless you consider me tipping you on a terrible movie a spoiler. I never write movie reviews but I had to take a minute to write a review about a movie that was so absurd in the first 10 minutes (of a 95 minute movie) that I turned it off. Some moronic director gave some moronic CGI animator free reign over 3 minutes of airtime. The result was a boring and silly motorcycle chase scene. It was so bad that I couldn't bring myself to watch the rest of the 85 minutes of the file for fear that the same CGI guy may want to work more of his "magic". Who knows if there was a story here because I couldn't bring myself to watch anymore to find out. CGI guy sucks and the director sucks for letting him destroy this film in the first 10 minutes. If you are going to screw me...at least wait until I am involved for 20 or 30 minutes first so I feel like I am already to committed to give up.

Special
(2006)

Honestly I have no idea what all of you are talking about...
The acting was tolerable...but who could really care about the acting. The movie was boring, the story line was idiotic, I don't have enough time to write how much my wife and I hated this movie. At this very moment I can't even say why I sat through the whole thing...bad bad boring movie.

One last comment...a comedy...are you serious??!?!?! This was a depressing story about a guy who loses everything because he was prescribed a medication that had really bad side effects. That in no way shape or form is a comedy...a tragedy yes...but a comedy...I think not. Did I say this was a bad movie yet....?
