wondrous A stunning enigma about friends and loss and grief. Existential hope (ironic, eh?)and the earnest search for answers. A human quest for understanding. The acting is true; the characters real. Where have we gone? How do we find them and ourselves? The struggle of youth but really the struggle of all. The cinematography is stunning, especially for a student film. Mitchell has examined our dark fear of the unknown. How do we live with the angst? The unknown so much more painful than the known. Simple answers that should be realized that are withheld or hidden. How do we live in such a world when even death is not obvious, when we cannot find a calming place within ourselves or others.
