Well, as much as I'm a big follower and a big enthusiast of Donnie Yen's movies or should I say... fantasy movies, lately I'm not quite satisfied with Mr. Donnie Yen's recent ventures. When I go and try to watch a fantasy movie, I do of course go there and expecting to see a lot of visual candies with the use of such colorful special effects. The movie I should say upon seeing this movie is still quite a bit, well really, it is still very RAW specially with the not so special cg efforts, they are not so special effects, they are just failed efforts on trying to create a visual effect, to tell you the truth you can go to YouTube and you can find home-made, amateur videos with better special effects done by kids. The movie is a Total Disappointment for me, very MEDIOCRE film making. I actually had second thoughts on giving it a two star, I was gonna go for 1. "Take Care Yourself"

You just have to see this movie with your kids. My kids enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. They are laughing on most scenes. Grinning and bright eyed if not smiling in the duration of the movie. My kids are 6 years old and 13. I am in my golden years. This movie is full entertainment. This movie got moral lessons. This movie respects family values. The animation is great. Well, I could go over and over, but it will be all positive reviews. Movies are meant for entertainment. This movie is entertainment. This movie will make your money worth it. Yes, this movie is animated and well choreographed. This is an instant classic. My children's children will watch this and love it too. Check it out.

The computer generated special effects are alright. Though, the story idea, script and the whole screenplay is very mediocre. It is like that the makers of this movie totally under estimated the intelligence of the local movie goers. The movie makers seems to be saying, that, "It's okay, because the Filipino movie goers are idiot anyways. After paying for the theater ticket to see the movie they're suckers. We own their cash which they earned from going door-to-door this Christmas Day." Is this Agimat and Enteng Kabisote franchise a collaboration in an effort to equal the expected Box Office success of RPG Metanoia? Hmmm, I wonder.

First off the movie is alright if I am watching it during the 1950's or 1960's. It's acceptable when Sci-Fi movies are all over the drive inn theaters and what not. It's alright for people to accept what they see and leave the movie house and forget what they saw and shut up. In my case though, I will end up erasing this movie in my head, but, I am not going to shut up since I cannot forget that I shelled out some money to watch this movie. I went to watch this movie hoping to see a quality one, but, it turned out it's a poorly edited B-Movie. The scientists in this movie are stupid, the movie proved it during the exhibit to show the two large looking larvae in an aquarium looking glass casing. Okay, why would you as a smart scientist publicly exhibit the product of your experiment without doing further experiments like maybe, put two female larvae together and see what happens, 1 female and male larvae together and see what happens, then 2 male larvae together etc. The camera angles and editing chops during long dialogue exchanges are dragging, maybe because of budget constraint proving this is in the category of B-Movies? The climax for the ending is lousy for turning Dren into a Male. It could have been more acceptable that Dren died and the Male experiment they showed with Dren when they were still both in the form of larvae was given more introduction in the movie as the final spliced experiment. The twist the writer and the director tried to insert in the movie is a work of a trying hard author and same with the director. I've seen better Indy movies.

This movie was included in the 2009 Manila Film Festival. This was a Box Office Loser. It was a Loser due to lousy actors and stupid screen play. This movie being included in the Manila Film Festival entries only proves that the Philippine movie industry is still very primitive and is not about art. The target viewers for this movie are the children who received money as present on Christmas day to spend to the movie houses watching stupid movies like this. We'll at least most of the children are smart enough not to spend money on this one. My biggest question is, HOW THE HELL DID THIS GET A 9.9 STARS HERE IN IMDb? Is this a paid post about this movie here in IMDb? I guess IMDb is really a reliable source for movies ratings. I'm Grinning Sarcastically!

Okay, first off, before I will explain why I rated this movie Comedy-Drama, I'll tell you a story about my nephews who watched this movie in the movie house after Christmas. My nephews came home and they asked me, "Uncle, we're so hungry", I asked them, "Where have you guys, been, why are you guys so hungry?" The older one answered, we watched the movie 'Ang Panday', the younger one said, "We should have just bought some rice noodles (Pansit). I asked, "Why is the movie not good?", the younger one replied, "It's stupid!", he's 6 years old.

That moment with my nephews made me curious about this movie, although, I don't want to go and check it out in the movie houses, because, you know the old saying, 'Kids don't lie'? Well, I got a chance to view this movie yesterday and after viewing I rated it Comedy-Drama.

Comedy, because it's hilarious that this movie even became Best Picture and Best special effects, the plot is still the typical primitive Filipino Movie making style, the effects are old school like the eighties in Hollywood, the acting is so lame specially the Wannabe Joker of Batman guy who played the Over Acting Lizardo or is it the Overacting Guy that played Lizardo? Holy my Aspirin, the actress that played Diyosa, what is that, I mean the line delivery, it just plain sucks, is she a hired extra?

Drama, because I felt terribly bad about my nephews who swallowed their pride going around our neighborhood to almost beg for Christmas Treat, knocking on every door uttering "Namamasko Po!" only to receive centavo coins. I felt bad because, I felt that these innocent children have been robbed by these movie makers, maybe because they know the children wouldn't mind spending the money they earned on Christmas Day since it was only a gift from strangers?

Hmmm, I wonder if the rest of the Manila Film Fest Movie Makers really have this as their intention to earn from Box Office? Awful really, to treat paying movie goers like they're stupid, thinking no one will notice that the movie is designed for no I.Q. people.

It just makes one like me wonder?

I love watching movies and I know when a movie sucks or not. The camera work in this movie seems amateurish, it's wobbly most of the time. The dialog delivery it seems is being read directly from the script. I thought this is a war movie, but not really. While watching it on the first five minutes of the movie, I could swear this was meant as a TV movie. For a movie fanatic like me, I never made it past the first thirty minutes of this movie, it's that boring. The only big deal I can see on this movie is, the director is James Cameron's Ex. Seeing this movie winning a lot of categories proves that, Politics also lurks in the Oscars. Let's get an honest opinion, did you guys really liked this movie?

After seeing about 10 minutes of this movie I took out the DVD from my player. Yes, I literally threw it in the trash. Now, I understand why the first reviewers rated this so low. The poor thing about this is it's the just flat out very-very poor acting. Oh, the lines delivery is also very-very amateur like they're reading directly from the script. Yes, the movie is very disturbing to the fact that the makers wasted their money for hiring very-very less talented actors. It left me asking the same question on why I wasted my frigging money buying the DVD? The tag-line of the movie really got me COLD. Brrr, stupid movie and stupid me for falling into the trap.

All I can say is my son and daughter find this movie hilariously funny and they sat to the whole movie from beginning to end.

My kids rarely sit on the whole movie, yes, they rarely do, unless it's Blue's Clues, Dora or at times Barney the dinosaur.

Given that, again, it's a kids' movie and leave it to the kids.

The kids love it and let they be the judge.

I review movies before letting my children watch it.

Yes, just to make sure that it is "really suitable for children".

Making sure the movie is not boring and does not have to be very disturbing to the kids.

My kids loved it and I recommend it to parents like me.
