Snow White and the Huntsman
(2012)

Flat Story...
OVERALL: After watching this version of Snow White, I was left with an unsatisfied feeling. I hope that it could do more, more like the LOTR; but it just fell flat all the way through the end of the movie. There is no climax, just a flat story...

ACTING: Charlize Theron is remarkable here, but I think her acting talent is wasted here due to the flat storyline and little character development. Much can be achieved with her if she is given more screen time. Nevertheless, she is the show stealer! She commands your full attention whenever she's in the scene and you'll miss her whenever she's missing from the scene. There is not much to say about the other main actors. Kristen Stewart is still in her Bella's mode here and Chris Hemsworth is in his Thor's mode.

VISUAL: The strongest and the best thing about the movie is the visual. You are treated with lots of eye-catchy environments; on par with the LOTR's visual.

ACTION: The action scenes are mostly shaky and left more to be desired. I felt a little bit dizzy watching them. The last battle scene was supposed to be epic but it was rushed; making it less epic and totally lame for a climax.

SUMMARY: Like I stated earlier, this movie is flat. It could be better if it was provided with more interesting sub stories, character developments and an epic climax. But still, I learned a lesson from watching this movie. True beauty comes from within...

Battleship
(2012)

Show recognition to old technologies and retired citizens...
Frankly, I like this movie. It has balanced in story and actions, unlike the all actions but no story development in all three of the Transformers movies. Taylor Kitsch is more in character in this movie than he ever was in John Carter. Alexander Skarsgard is what a brother would be to his little brother and Rihanna is pretty damn good with her first acting gig. Overall, average actings from all the casts.

The highlights of the movie is not the special effects but the 'tactical art of navy war' skills that the crews of the battleship is showcasing. After watching this movie, I've learned that 'old things' are never meant to be forgotten...

One Piece: Wan pîsu
(1999)

Words cannot describe it....
I don't know what to say...I'm totally in love with One Piece. Years ago, my friend once told me that the top three best anime in the world were Bleach, Naruto and One Piece. Since I have watched Bleach and Naruto, I totally agreed that Bleach and Naruto were the best. But One Piece??? I was very doubtful at that time. Why? Because there's no way an anime that is childishly drawn could be at the same level as Bleach and Naruto. But my friend keep persuading me to watch One Piece and one fateful day, I tried to watch it continuously for one whole day. Oh my God!!! I was completely stunt! This anime is beyond my expectation. What an epic. For me, it was better than Bleach and Naruto. Luffy and the Strawhat Crews have their own unique characters that can be related to most of us in our daily life. The supporting characters and villains also have characteristics that will stuck in you mind for ages. I think that's why One Piece is the best. Most of us 'feel' for each of the characters in many ways...may it be in laughter, agony, suffering and so much more. Kudos to the One Piece's production team especially the amazing creator, Eiichiro Oda; for creating a world that is beyond ordinary but still can amuse ordinary people like me and you.

A must see anime before you die...
