The Hero
(2017)

What a waste.
IMO don't waste your time. I kept falling asleep. It was SLOW with a lot of camera 'blank stares'.

Sam has not aged well and looks like a person dying of cancer. The moustache is still great!!

United States of Al
(2021)

BEEN THERE
I lived in the Middle East for many years and had many Muslim friends and co-workers. I enjoy this show, probably, because I can relate to Al's reactions and attitudes because I've seen them first hand. The show with the bikini car wash girls was a great example of how someone would act when first in the U. S, I must agree with the others who state the laugh track needs to go. A show should stand on its own without that. It's annoying.

Chicago Med: Letting Go Only to Come Together
(2021)
Episode 11, Season 6

WHAT????
I've been a trauma nurse and EMS instructor for decades and this show is so far off I stopped watching it after 3 episodes. What possessed me to watch again I don't know.

There is NO WAY April is going to get fired. She's a critical care nurse (as all ER nurses are) who should be certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) which involves drugs and electricity in the event of cardiac arrest. These protocols/guidelines are set by the American Heart Association. They are the gold standard for resuscitation. Nurses are certified so that we can initiate the protocols until a doc arrives and takes over. Even Paramedics are certified to 'work' the specific protocols prior to contacting medical control.

April gave the correct first drug for that protocol (PEA). The patient was dead and she took the appropriate actions. We don't just stand around watching a patient (continue) to die/go down the tubes. She would have been more liable if she had done nothing.

Operation Dumbo Drop
(1995)

JUST A CUTE MOVIE
Yes, I'm a bit behind in my movie watching. I lived in the Middle East for years and couldn't get movies. This is just a cute movie that can be watched with the entire family. The sad part (for me and children) is when the one elephant is shot and dies. I found this to be an entertaining movie, not engulfing or engrossing. It's rated PG for war violence, yet any child can see that on TV, the news or in their own school (we've become a pitiful country). It was nice to see Danny and Ray in something besides a shoot-em-up or getting your brains eaten by Hannibal. If you just want a sit back and relax movie for the family, this is one of them. The fact that it's based on actual events is a bonus!

Mr. Mercedes
(2017)

LOVE the accent
Who's to say his accent shouldn't be that strong? My relatives have been in this country for decades and still have very heavy accents, as I do when I speak their language. I love it.

I'm not really qualified to assess the acting, etc., but can say that with most books made into movies the books are better. The writer can do so much more in a book.

So far, I'm liking this series.

Beauty and the Beast
(2017)

Love it!
I've read the reviews with the lower ratings and just want to scream! This movie is given low rating because of the CGI face of the Beast and other production issues. Can't you just watch this movie with your heart and your inner child's mind and not review it with your techno/computer brain? Sorry if you don't like the CGI and other stuff, but I loved the movie!

The Family That Preys
(2008)

I really, really like this movie
Without going into the characters and who does what I can say I really like this movie. I watch it frequently. I thoroughly enjoy Kathy and Alfre in this and other movies. I think the plots and the morale issues at hand are presented nicely. I particularly love the ending. I certainly didn't see it coming and was ecstatic. One needs to see the movie and think about the concepts presented before judging it.
