Made in Heaven
(2019)

Colonial Hangover
Basically a show with a lot of colonial Hangover interspersed with some element of intentionally constructed Parochial Indian Society. The Language and the Culture has totally been whitewashed with Colonial Mentality. It does touch on some elements of Homophobia, Divorce, and may be some problems of the rich Indian community . I still can't understand why people can't get over this image of English being a language of Elites and Educated and Mother Tongue ( eg Hindi, Punjabi) being used by the uneducated elements of our Society. No one in their right mind would talk in English in a City like Delhi ( at least not everyday and all day). Shame on the actors to agree to such nonsense. After watching this show you can decide for yourself. Good luck !.

Prey
(2022)

Shameful
I just couldn't get past the fact that about 300 years ago Comanche Tribe was speaking in English ( which is what the movie shows). Its a shame that these things are not important for the Filmmakers. It is happening more than ever.

I am just disappointed in the lack of recognition and respect .

Keep Breathing
(2022)

Disappointing
The show promises an interesting plot and actually starts out decent . It however starts to disappoint in the middle and really falls of the edge as we move forward. The last two episodes are really worthless . It does not keep you engaged long enough to pay attention. I would avoid this for sure !!!

Ms. Marvel
(2022)

Could have been better
It is heartbreaking to see a show completely overshadow a language ( Urdu) spoken by so many people . No traditional Pakistani family will speak anything other than their Mother Tongue at home. I hope they pay more attention in the future. Shame on the actors for selling out their Language. The Indian Subcontinent has so many different cultures and Languages assimilated in it. The series makers should be more sensitive to this.

Thor: Love and Thunder
(2022)

Below Average
The film fails to meet the expectations of a great sequel. The Director is over reliant on unnecessary and childish humor. Christian Bale's character is underdeveloped for the most part. Zeus is a forgettable character in the movie. Thor does bring some fun to the movie but it does not help the film recover at any point. I would not rush to the Theaters for this sequel. O what a missed opportunity 👎.

Old
(2021)

Just Terrible
To sum it up , just a terrible movie. Do not waste your time.

The story , the acting , screenplay are all terrible. I don't have much to say about this film except for bad things. It seems like the film makers forgot to see their own work before releasing this on to the world.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
(2016)

Takes an inordinate amount of time to the finale .
I expected more out of this film solely based upon the concept that two of my favorite superheroes are trying to beat each other . To be honest I was a little disappointed at the end , my hopes started crumbling after about 1 hour into the movie (The CGIs were pretty amazing though ). In the end the film did fall short of my ( many will agree) expectations . I think the CGI technology would not satisfy the fans when the movie runs for 2.5 hours with may be 30 minutes of real fight . Not what I expected but definitely not the worst I have seen . My real interest would be in the sequel next year , but we still can't ignore the fact that Batman v Superman :Dawn of Justice has been one of the most anticipated movies recently .

Terminator Genisys
(2015)

"A weak attempt"
This movie may not be the worst in the series but certainly can be considered a weak attempt . I did enjoy Schwarzenegger's performance but , it would not be enough for the The Terminator fans. The movie series has to be revived still & only James Cameron might be able to do it . I hope the franchise does not suffer any more due to these sloppy attempts at recreating the Man vs Machine war . I am still waiting for a decent action movie that can be compared to the original two terminator movies or may be better . The Terminator franchise is one of the oldest action movie series with a very thoughtful plot but lately has been inclined more towards CGI than performance and story . As a Terminator fan I will still see this movie because of Schwarzenegger's on screen return as T-800.

Cop Out
(2010)

Couldn't be worse...
This film should have been released with a warning sign, its awful, definitely its one of the worst Hollywood has ever given, what in the world is wrong with Bruce Willis..??...i mean he comes from die hard series to Cop out..really??..even his last movie The Surrogates was bad but this one takes another level altogether..don't bother reading about the story or script.. a a guy talking about taking a dump for 30- 45seconds nonstop...children being punched in the groin, overacting, annoying scenes, that ain't funny in a sane man's mind, believe me it is not worth watching even if somebody puts a gun to your head(yes its that bad)Sean William Scott has a short role but he is so annoying, such an awful & shameful product from Hollywood,i hope Bruce Willis realizes about this mistake soon enough and comes up with something good next time.....aahhh !!! this movie was a torture for me!!!

Tormented
(2009)

"a weak attempt for a slasher"
Making a decent slasher film does not come easy because a lot of effort is required and precisely on the details, first of all the plot must be simple and then you start of by putting in sufficient gore, choosing an appropriate location and all the scary stuff.Unfortunately the movie Tormented'fails to accomplish this little approach, okay the story here is simple but the rest of the stuff is just not enough, its not scary at all...some mean teenagers being chased by their zombie peer is something that can be made pretty damn thrilling,in my opinion this film would have been better if they had used a psychotic serial killer instead of a dumb zombie kid, well you can easily let this one pass on,its basically a weak attempt for a slasher movie and there is no way that i recommend this one to anybody....let it slide away this time, find some other worthy of your time...

Easy Virtue
(2008)

Hazy & subtle British comedy...
Easy Virtue was a bit dull than i expected it to be,i mean most of the British comedies that i have seen are better than this.An American living amongst core English family is an idea which can be made pretty damn funny but Easy Virtue falls short of that fun & focuses more on the messy stuff of relations and responsibilities etc etc.Hilarity is a bit fitful for the most part..its about a young Englishman who marries an American woman and brings her to his native home to his English family, now expectingly this turns out to be slight incredulous for his family & esp his mother which makes the American incongruous, how she tries to make up is the main agenda covered by the film. The story has a lot of potential but overall the film fails to maintain the standards,so the only description which fits....its an average British comedy with bits and pieces of humor!!!

Greenberg
(2010)

"Slow but strong"...
Greenberg is actually a different one compared to Ben Stiller's previous movies, its not a comedy but a dramatic film about a Roger Greenberg(Ben Stiller) who has no idea about his life's current path,he is this weird person who just recovered from an emotional breakdown and is now spending days in his brother's house. The film follows his relationship with the past & its consequences on his present. The film is a little slow and requires your constant attention to agree with it.Greta Gerwig delivers a strong performance as Florence, the only person who is just as weird as Roger Greenberg and the only one capable of understanding him personally, the film is rich on details & captures the vulnerability of Roger Greenberg in a perfect way...so in a way what i am stressing is that Greenberg is a great film with a strong story...

Saints and Soldiers
(2003)

"A gallant war story...."
Saints & Soldiers tells the story of few soldiers behind enemy lines trying to make it through by supporting & understanding each other, the age old message being delivered with it..team work is always above your own comforts when lives are at stake. The film is merely 80minutes long but is so well made that at the end you feel satisfied & more or less emphatic. It depicts that during a time of crises even small things have big values which we don't understand unless we need them.In every war there are proficient soldiers on both side who obviously treat each other with disdain & hatred but exceptions are always there, the film is sort of a short story covering all the above aspects at some levels, its a brilliant movie and from my side i give it perfect score as far as entertainment goes.Good story, great performance, good subject matter...pretty much sums it all up,i am sure that you r gonna have a great time enjoying this one....

I Heart Huckabees
(2004)

What is the point..????
Before you even try to watch this film i should warn you that its a mix of complex messed up plot,i can understand dark comedies but i honestly don't get the point behind this film, what is it???..a dark comedy or what..??.,why can't they explain things in a straight forward way.Ahem Ahem...Okay, the story goes like this...Albert is a guy with some personal issues who hires some people to solve it for him,the story progresses as we see the people connected to him in one way or the other being involved with some issues themselves.I was not bored at anytime during the film but i surely didn't like it,it was not funny or dramatic or anything although everyone seemed to be having a nervous breakdown in the film.May be people like it due to some classiness with it and i purely mean the complexness, may be its not funny but it ain't doleful either.I don't pan the movie because clearly this film proves that every story has its viewers.....,this film not for me though!!!

Clash of the Titans
(2010)

thoroughly impressive......
Seriously i am pretty bummed out to find a rating of 6 for this film, why such a low rating.???The film is surely a visual treat with more than a decent story.May be some religious people didn't like the story but who cares,i mean a battle between The GODS & HUMANS can never be boring or dull,i thoroughly enjoyed every part of it,the effects are superb, the story is progressive and thus nothing left to complain about. The story is about a demigod who embarks upon a journey to root out the evil threatening mankind due to a war declared between man & god.I don't understand why the movie has been panned by some,am i missing something or should i watch the old version of this and then give my review..?? Whatever it is i don't think i'll change my opinion...great film allover with beautiful visual effects!!!

Hatchet
(2006)

Well,Can't Complain.......
Hatchet is a decent slightly low budget slasher film. Its more or less like the 'WRONG TURN' or 'THE HILLS HAVE EYES'.Now when i say low budget don't misconstrue the film or avoid it because movies like these do not need a very big budget,i mean a slasher should have gore, screaming, running,a psychotic or a monstrous killer, dumb teenagers and above all this all mixed in a bearable way to conceive an entertaining film,Hatchet is a good example of all this.Let me brief you on the story...few tourists decide to go on a tour exploring a supposedly haunted swamp when an accident forces them to be stuck on this very unfriendly & dangerous environment, unfortunately someone not so convivial wanders the area. The film is interesting enough to keep you involved for 80minutes.I have seen some pretty bad slasher films & believe me Hatchet is way better than most low budget horror/slasher movies.

Black Water
(2007)

Incessant thrilling ride....terrific!!!
Let me start by congratulating you because if you are reading this you have obviously found Black Water and buddy you are in the right place, never ever make a mistake to miss this movie,it may not be same as 'Primeval' or 'Rogue' but is much more realistic than the above. Its actually based upon real events and while watching there isn't a single minute when you are not drawn further into it.The story is about three individuals who are attacked by a large crocodile (while in a boat ride)with no one to help but themselves when they get stuck in a marshy area, their precarious situation forms the basis of the film. There is an aphorism that goes "never mess with a crocodile in water.." which originates from the dominance of the king of salt waters. The scenes when the actors & the crocodile are face to face are so astonishing that you might not believe it.Every jiff of the film is more intense than the last, this film cannot be missed and you are so lucky to have found 'Black Water',magnificent movie!!!

Away We Go
(2009)

Promising expedition....
I wasn't expecting much out of this one but to my surprise it had all the ingredients for a decent romantic comedy, the movie is actually pretty good.I say it has the same attire but put on in a different way.The film is about a couple who decide to move someplace they consider to be perfect for them and their unborn baby,so they go on a trip to find out the very same. The film is a romantic comedy dealing some serious issues of life. The film is quite promising if one decides to watch a romantic comedy and spend some time laughing and feeling good. All Romantic comedies are usually similar and this one s no exception but its still worth 90minutes of your time.Definitely a promising film of 2009.

Cold Souls
(2009)

Deeply artistic....
Cold souls was a pleasant experience for me,well the story is a bit unusual but very thoughtful indeed.Paul Giamatti (as Paul Giamatti) plays the role of a famous actor who has been struggling with a play called 'UNCLE VANYA' and tries to find an answer which leads him to give up his soul,is this the final answer he was looking for??..or things become much complicated than before??,as i said the story is quite different and thoughtful. The movie is quite artistic in many ways, may be a little sad at times but always interesting enough to keep you involved.Paul Giamatti with an outstanding performance is very impressive...good film with a great story, better than most

The Dark Hours
(2005)

Not Horrible at least...
I just finished watching the film and i gotta say the film is kind of an average thriller,i honestly expected a horrible movie but after 80minutes i modified my initial hypothesis .Well the film's story is quite good and the actors performed okay for the most part,so the film was bearable although i wasn't impressed that much. The actress who portrayed Doctor Goodman is impressive though (& very pretty). The film tells a story about a psychiatrist who has an incurable brain tumor which now starts growing and so she plans to spend a nice weekend with her husband in a quiet remote place but things turn out to be unfavorable for her,is someone messing up her weekend or her tumor is complicating things in a much worse way????...as i said the story is pretty impressive & different but you have to sit till the end to be able to appreciate it...to sum up if you miss this one you ain't missing much!!!

The Losers
(2010)

90 minutes of fun ride....
Anybody asks me about a good action movie of 2010 id say THE LOSERS,yes the movie was brilliant and highly entertaining.Well the film impressed more with every minute that passed by,its witty, funny,& an action packed surprise for this year.If at all you are an action fan The Losers is gonna grip you solid. The film revolves around 5 well trained soldiers who because of a betrayal decide to take on those responsible..THE CIA...,I never expect action films to be good unless its some big franchise such as Die Hard or Terminator or X-men but now my expectations have changed i guess. The action scenes are well planned out and the movie has a stylish demeanor to it...absolute treasure for action fans,no way to be missed!!!

The Woodsman
(2004)

Must see performance by Bacon...
Wow!!!, this film is really an amazing work of art,the performance by Kevin Bacon couldn't be better.I had an idea that the film is good but i was really surprised to find that it is better than good, its great. Its a story about an ex convict who now looks to re-live his life only in a better way, most of the film shows him to be a recluse and for obvious reasons too.I must say that the film delivers well and puts forth a brilliant act by Kevin Bacon,i don't know if has won any award for it but i sure would recommend this to any critic who has not seen it yet.The best part about the movie (besides the acting)is that its not a sad movie in any way,i mean most of the movies dealing with some intense real life issues turn out to be good but sad on many levels which really precludes any chance to see it again, but not this one, believe me just 15minutes of it and i am sure you will be agreeing with me...beautiful film, must see!!!

Near Dark
(1987)

Not bad but something is missing.....
I finally got a chance to see the film yesterday and i enjoyed the movie mainly because of its old 80s style. The film tells a story about a young guy who meets a beautiful girl which results in some unavoidable circumstances forcing him to travel with her friends who seem to be the creatures of the night or simply 'vampires'!!!.Now,if you are expecting a cold blooded vampire style movie with lots of brutal killing & violence you might not be satisfied after sitting through this film which is why i said that something is missing from the film, nevertheless its not a bad movie and is a little different from the rest mainly because the story is very good, still i feel that a little more effort could have made it one of the very best..to be honest its totally up to your expectation about the movie that decides the verdict...

Frontière(s)
(2007)

Brutal & Violent..."works for me"
What is it about European movies and psychotic families...??,well,to be honest it delivers every time you put in so much gore and violence combined with some psychotic group seeking pleasure in doing so,Frontier(s)is a new mixture of the same old formula,an effective one,The movie is brutal & violent and so a perfect one for Thriller/Slasher fans.I am always on a regular lookout for such films and somehow i always find it safe to go with some European slasher, and so along came Frontiers which is an entertaining thriller/slasher movie from France. The movie contains good 50 minutes of thrilling experience which obviously goes in its favor making it worth your time, the film at some levels is Intense & very disturbing but this makes it more interesting...great movie, loved it

Suspiria
(1977)

oh no !!!...this OLD AIN'T GOLD...
Let me give you my honest opinion, its one of the worst films i have ever seen,i don't understand why is it so popular, some might even say its one of the best of its genre,i can never understand what makes this movie scary ????...well its not even an average horror flick, the film falls steeply from the starting till the end and left me so disappointed, let me tell you about few things the makers used to scare the viewers,RED LIGHTS,COLORFUL WALLS,WORMS,BIG FAT LADIES.If that sounds scary to anyone you go ahead and sit through 90minutes of utter trash. In my opinion the only bearable thing about the movie is the acting,it was not horrible but bad.I don't see how this film got critical approval,is this Dario Argento's best work...really?????,then what's his worst?????...that scares me more!!!
