Tak & the Power of Juju
(2007)

my heart sunk >_<
as the latter review said earlier the show was going downhill fast for the following reasons.

it didn't follow the video games, it instead did just anything and everything. the voice acting was horrible. there basically was no storyline are plot, just stupid situations. it was great at the beginning but after the first 4 episodes but well....it all went downhill from there. if your a kid your gonna enjoy it more than an adult but will lose interest in it after all while. and yes I'm referring to kids are probably doesn't know that this show was based of a game.

I seriously don't think kids are going to like this show for long already I've seen some bad ratings from those who are familiar with the game and those who are not. kids or no kids.

Poketto monsutâ
(1997)

going downhill fast around after season 2....only to get better and better now in 2011(pokemon black and white)? O_O
I don't know how to separate my review from everyone else's who complained that the show got worse and worse by the time season to 2 ended besides saying so and not to mention the games were better for reasons besides the characters acting more civilized, so lets skip season 1,2 and onward towards the new season pokemon black and white.

I miss the beginning for obvious reasons(see everyone else's review) but when a newer episode come on T.V.(that I watched out of boredom) my mouth just dropped at the site of the following

ash is traveling with gym leaders instead of someone normal. and who they were was even more shocking.

the episode was enjoyable with out annoying characters(excluding what happened between ash and a women due to a joke that was obviously-edited out of the U.S. version and making one of ashes friend seem annoying)

one of the characters that ash was traveling with was a character named cilan I never got a chance to see more of his character (I wish I did) besides being a really good chief which could make him the new brock of the group and it just so happens that he like misty before him he has siblings and of course he goes out with ash to see the world but his reason for doing so is unknown to me but I will find out sooner or later.

and next we have iris, like cilan I never knew more about her character besides be upbeat and a little carefree and shes certain nicer to ash then misty ever was or will be but the thing is... in the games like all gym leaders you battle her but but don't meet or battle her until much much later on in the games but why is ash traveling with her of all people is weird and she has a unevolved pokemon with her, but like I said I missed the earlier episodes and gosh darn it I'm still missing a few more ongoing episodes but hey I'll soon fingered out what the heck is going on.

and as you've figured ash has new rivals,2 of them actually and are acting surprisingly the same as in the games and are'nt annoying at all like most of ashes rivals.

and as you may have guessed ash winds up with all three starter pokemon of the new region pokemon, really fast I might add but... whats weirds is that out of all of them this one pokemon snivy is much stronger and and smarter and has learned more attacks than all the other pokemon ash has, although it could be that his snivy has had more experience in battling prior towards meeting ash sorta like bulbasuar and squirtle(ashes older pokemon) only with more pokemon attacks such as leaf blade and leaf tornado man o man it looks like the makers of the show might actually care this time about the show.

and yes team rocket is back and as a few fans...well more like all the fans had wanted team rocket is back and are a force to be reckoned with.

man o man I still remember how ground breaking and awesome pokemon was when it first came on T.V. even though it has had it's of ups and downs but when season 2 ended the makers apparently cared less about it's audience and more about the kids and their ideas about it all should work is just bad, I can't help but feel sorry for the kids who have to bear with the show flaws and still enjoy it,heck I can't help but feel sorry for the show in general I felt like like show was being there for money and nothing else.

but now the show is truly getting better and better the makers seem to care about it's audience now I recommend pokemon black and white to everyone who's willing to have a look just don't watch the episodes following season 2 they were absolutely horrible.

Voltron Force
(2011)

it's getting better?
this show went off at a pretty bad start around the beginning first few episodes with it's tone varying based on how the characters act(and not to mention its overdose of cheesiness),I'm not a die-hard-fan(nor a hardcore fan in general) but getting to the point to start this review off note:considering this show is the remake of one of my beloved shows compare and contrast will be involved.

story: in this story starts with to cadets ones with a teenager named Daniel and his best Vince, now Daniel who is the man character has long idolized the 5 heroes who piloted 5 robot loins, which could combine to form voltron(a giant humanoid robot) and wishes to become just like of course, then we have his friend Daniel(who would rather be leveling up in a video game then on a battle field) is a technician's export who discovers that he may be the key towards unlocking voltrons new powers, and then raising the number to 3 we have larmina the niece of princess alura of planet arus who happens to be to pilot the blue lion that makes up the left leg of voltron who assures the rest of the voltron team that these 3 cadets were brought here to serve a higher destiny. and it appears that larmina has some sort of connection to voltron.OK now as Daniel narrates...

Evil is back. The Drule king Lotor has returned with a dark energy that can destroy the galaxy. Our only hope, the Voltron Force: A team of five heroic pilots that control five awesome robot lions. When Lotor's Robeasts attack, lions come together to form...Voltron, Defender of the Universe.

OK to really start things off the back story has changed completely to the point where the it has quit a few inconsistencies compared to the original considering princess alura doesn't have a sibling(larmina of course) although the characters are seven years older than in the original although I don't exactly recall there ages since it's been so long since I,ve seen the original, bringing lotor back in the game was cool though I admit. at first glance it looks as though just anything and every things been happening in fact I don't know even where to began and most of the time I got annoyed enough not to remembered how the show was at the beginnings at least it's better than iron man armored adventures.

the animation: the original cast now have different character designs and many of them are pretty good while others....could have been better, visually the characters who all sport a more cartooneish look than the original the environments have some fairly nice overall detail in the show and the animations pretty good however vehicles an robots appear in the 3d including the robot lions themselves are awesome especially when they combine and form voltron, some of parts of the environments are in 3d as well which is great. the action on this show can get pretty crazy wants there's a battle going on. ^_^ the characters: the character development in the show was a little rough around the edges especially with all this cheesy and stereotype behavior matching the character designs although I've seen worse but they got interesting after a while but geeze louise nick must have been either crazy or brave to do this. >_< voice acting: I heard worse and I heard better but otherwise it was okay the bottom line: this show could have been a little better but hey like I said I've seen worse and for this show it could have been worse. I certainly would recommend this show to everyone but I recommend this show to those who are willing to give it a try, this has it where it counts and it's quickly standing out as is own show and lastly it's not staring to far from the originals roots.

Super Mario Bros.
(1993)

a weird attempt at making this movie but a great one non to less
as a kid I love the games and thought it was great seeing it again for a second time after such a long time I still love it but it still seem like there could have been room for improvement considering how it contrast to the video games that inspired it.but overall it was more like a bold move than a great one like I mentioned in my summary above. the 2 lead actors chosen for the role of Mario and Luigi was perfect the main villain was surprisingly good although different from what I had expected same with the princess and the whole story overall. Yoshi's portrayal was acceptable apparently the fact that he was ether a dinosaur or a dragon or perhaps both even had the directors confused as it did fans and non fans alike. I highly recommend this to fans everywhere pervided that you don't take it to seriously.

Avatar: The Last Airbender
(2005)

this anime inspired TV show has been a bit on hit or miss to most people but is better then most people think
this show seemed a little weird at first glance especially by the way the characters aere and the animles in it, the curly tailed monkey (I can't remember the correct name)I can understand but it gets weirder from there, not that there is anything wrong with that. but it was way better then I thought when I watched especially when it reach the this one time where the fire nation troops assaulted the northern water tribe otherwise known as the siege of the north part 1 and 2.man does show rock. and the way they introduce new characters in the show was outstanding it got better when these new characters may and ty lee who had better character development than it would already seem to began with. this show in other words was great from start to finish.

Krypto the Superdog
(2005)

cartoons don't need to be perfect but....
as mention one of the reviews above this show can be hard to watch because of bad aspects having to do with kids like patronizing them an other stuff like that and adding plot twist like the one episode where the the boy who gets to keep krypto as a pet Kevin gets into situations having to do with his cousin, and other things like that.,but other than that this show does have qualities that make up for it but I won't spoil it you just have to watch it yourself and find out. but its just so odd that kid friendly DC shows have to end up like this most of the time. I love children cartoons without a care in the world what anyone thinks(I'm 21) but the plot lately with kid shows seems bad. if not brutal.

The Super Hero Squad Show
(2009)

much better than whats on now on TV for the kids
you guys got to remember companies are trying to with all there might to make there shows kid friendly since parents and non parents alike are becoming to protective of there kids I mean some of the really good cartoons with any violence or complexity whatsoever is receiving the short end of the stick, unless its dark and moody in some way to lower the out of control kids thing. as a result not only marvel but Disney, and other companies can't do the usual things they do not even if looney toons is involved.and Japanese animation or at least inspired Japanese animation is relied on to much because the overall plot and characters, is just not good at times(or all the time if that is your opinion).Just look at at bakugan,Pokémon, and of late transformers(with the exception of robots in disguise(RID)transformers that one was excellent)not to say there were non anime inspired shows that were bad, mediocre, horrible, and or just plain hard to like overall with both kids and adults alike, such as batman the brave and the bold(which is hard to like at times),iron man armored adventures(which is also hard to like at times), and when someone try to put a TV show based off a game like sonicX(based off a sonic the hedgehog if you didn't know)tak and the power of juju(based of of the game of the same name) donkey kong country legend of the crystal coconut, and kirby right back at ya.

Someone has to screw it up a little or a lot due to some crazy view of whats kid friendly, 4kids.TV butchered sonic rather than simply toneing down the violence which was the only thing that was necessary, same with kirby right back at ya, and than there was tak and the power of juju TV show which looks like a horribly doned parody of the game. donkey country TV show on the other hand the only problem with that one was the change in character appearances and the plot can be unnecessary. and when someone wants to bring back on old show to be back and better than ever or even just as good you get similar results.

but getting to the real point I actually like this show since it has a lot of comedy and funny humor, and maintains the marvel charm in a fresh new way, it had me laughing a couple of times and the characters we know and love are portrayed perfectly. nope nothing wrong with this show unless you are a die hard fan of the usually marvel routine.

although one cannot help but wonder why didn't any of the companies make something like this sooner for the kids, the designers that made transformers animated, super robot monkey team hyper force go, the batman, already got there but nobody else did, does anyone who read this review see a pattern? cause I do.

Shark Tale
(2004)

Stop comparing this to finding nemo >_<
Why is everyone doing that I mean finding nemo was nowhere near as cool as this movie animation is better, the colors are so much better not to mention(as seen in the previews back when it was first being announced as a new movie and on T.V.) the fishes, crabs, lobsters, and many others you can name live literally live in there own towns and cities which is awesome, along with so many unexpected details added, you'll see what talking about if you go see it for yourselves.all in all this was a great movie it full of humor, great voice acting(needless to say). its still one of My favorite movies. jack black and will smith was a new twist in and a welcome one for all there fans

Beast Machines: Transformers
(1999)

I admit I had a good time watching this but still.........
I am not going to bother saying its not that good compared to beast wars or how could they or why did the do that to the characters:optimous who as we all know is a strong great leader is know reduced to a appearingly disturbed guru or prophet that arguments a lot, and megatron who suddenly hates his organic side wants it gone and has gotten so obsessed with conquering cybertron that he his turned practically turned everyone ob cyberton friend and foe alike into mindless drones leaving just a few with free will such as jet-storm. not to mention rinoc's tittle tragedy all the other reviews have note. but I liked it and so did others and many fans of beast wars,G1 at least who try-ed to watch it. and why did we like it it was interesting still, the character development was bad and all,and was boring at times but it still had good action scenes and rough in a out of the blue kind of way it picked up and started a exciting final showdown between optimus and megatron of course the was a lackluster yet still good ending.

and of course we can understand the beast wars saga was a bit brutal the good guys and bad guys actually getting hit by gunfire, and misslefire compared to generation1 transformers,my cousin told me the shots from missiles and lazers missed a lot, I haven't seen G1 up until recently (thank you HUB channel even though its only show a late nights oddly). but I didn't notice much difference yet,but still giving it such a dark storyline just isn't right, Buuuuuuuutttttt all in all it was an OK show still 7/10

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
(2009)

please don't bite me but
I know this movie had its quirks but can't deny that this movie put you through a truly awesome ride in this sequel.the special effects were so good and a jokes were just like...man I don't't know where to begin, the was interesting and got awesome but after a while it got a bit weird and confusing at a certain point you see what I mean when you sit for your self I don't still seriously know what the problem in the movie was though manly G1 fans I know of are calling it trash and practically biting me just for liking it. sadly this movie appearers to be a love it or hate movie. and people kept complaining about certain transformers for not actually being in it rather then just being a cameo

Transformers: Animated
(2007)

Die hard generation 1 fans please give this show a break...seriously
I can understand that there were a few failures somewhat in the franchise, but come one this is actually pretty good mega tron everyones beloved transformers villain has a perfect voice actor and so does star scream, and many other characters, bumblebee is portrayed as a auto bot who never shuts up and always cracking jokes as opposed to him being completely silent in the movie can be funny sometimes, and the way the designers and voice actors manage pulled it off so well in this show from start to finish. I personally recommend this show to everyone who's looking for a good cartoon or even someone who is hoping this newbie of a show is good

Adventure Time
(2010)

this is my first review so pardon me for a typo/misspellings
First off I am personal shocked that they let this show on TV, I mean the main character, you know... the one who makes those weird faces which cracks me up a lot even my mom, at times during the show he be beating up on everybody...well not everybody per say mainly the bad guys and who ever is under the suspicion of hurting the princess, especially since(from what I can speculate) the companies are trying to find the simplest approach at a storyline(non complex ed) and the least violent way possible(which spawn all these Pokémon and digimon wannabees(with of course annoying characters) with which is not looking good at times (thank you hub channel THANK YOU for bring some old favorites back on air with newcomers (detora quest amongst others)).but I sat down and watched it(before finding all that out later on) because nothing good was on at the time accept for that boomerang channel which was getting boring (since they stop rerunning swat katz for time) and much to my surprise It was one of the better cartoons... no no no it was better then that and I was desperate for a good cartoon, it's good enough for both kids and adults alike, provided that you don't take the show so seriously(I'm 21 just so you know).A couple of times on the previews(after a couple of days) however is when I first saw the the violence but wasn't really paying attention, thats when my cousin who's interested in this show tells me about how shocked he is at the fact that they've...let this one on air... I was wondering why he then tells me that(as I said above) ''the main character, you know... the one who makes those weird faces which cracks me up a lot even my mom, at times during the show he be beating up on everybody''(not to mention that one cut scene where jacks upper body becomes a foot due to some spell, curse I think ,in which takes advantage of this to squash the bad guys and eventually WHAM! right between the legs!) I reacted like..what!? seriously.. he said yeah then he meanchens some heart shape getting beat by the main character(who,s name I keep getting getting mixed up with his weird yet/but cool dog friend)I actually recall that happening in when the episode came on but I wasn't paying attention(I was on the computer while the T.V. was on because I was looking up some details on transformers war for cybertron video games on already announced systems at the time it was released)but I overheard the voices,SFX(sound effects),and understood a little of what was going on but missed the rest of the episode which sucks,BUT lets actually get to the point.(sorry everyone I.m trying to know where to began on the review) #1 the plot is actually pretty simple the main character Jake(got his name right)and his dog are out to fight evil or beat them up of course.and help princess bubble gum(yeah you heard that right)and her kingdom, as well as all the other princess's and the kingdoms(grumpy princess, space princess for example) all the while wounding up in some rather awkward situations, and they even solve problems in places they visit, and even learning more things about the characters themselves adding some funny development sometimes, and things can get rather interesting, hilarious, entertaining and cool.

#2 the voice acting is pretty good and also at times a bit strange(you will know what I,m talking about when you see one of the other princesses).although a number of characters are done by kids(mostly the ones you see at the beginning episodes)and the dialog is pretty humorous which I went and forgot to mention above one of those voice actors sounds really foamier(like I heard off a certain cartoon)can't remember though.

overall thats I can think about reviewing for this show but I recommend giving this show a try at least once or twice you just might find it enjoyable. especially if your a kid and or an adult.
