Dead for a Dollar
(2022)

A fun dime-novel Western
Give it a chance. It's better than reviews let on. It's not meant to be "Unforgiven." It's a fun, tense ride toward a classic Walter Hill showdown.

As for the production, it looks like a film shot with an expensive digital camera by someone who didn't know how to light interiors properly. Exterior shots are good (some even beautiful), but interiors do come off looking like something out of a stage play. Not a deal breaker by any means.

It reminded me of a 50's western (right down to the swip cuts!) filmed in 2021/22. And being a hug fan of old westerns, that's a huge compliment.

It's a really fun movie and more than worth a watch. Just go in with an open mind.

La città sconvolta: caccia spietata ai rapitori
(1975)

Great Italian Crime Flick
Another great Italian crime flick from Fernando Di Leo. Don't skip this one if you're a fan of his work or Italian 70s crime films. The low rating on IMDB isn't an accurate reflection.

Il grande duello
(1972)

Better Than Average
It starts off a bit rough but it really comes together and ends well.

Sabotage

This is NOT a one-star movie
I've never posted on IMDb before. But after seeing all the ratings of one star, I feel that I had to speak up. If you're looking for an intense police drama/action flick, then this is a great one. If you're not a fan of Arnie, then you might want to skip it, as he (obviously) dominates screen time.

It's not an "Arnie Vehicle" as the entire cast matters; and Ayer's direction is ballsy - but it works. The violence is nothing more than you'd catch on AMC or HBO.

I don't understand the hate this film gets.

Give it a try if you like gritty cop dramas.
