A fun dime-novel Western Give it a chance. It's better than reviews let on. It's not meant to be "Unforgiven." It's a fun, tense ride toward a classic Walter Hill showdown.
As for the production, it looks like a film shot with an expensive digital camera by someone who didn't know how to light interiors properly. Exterior shots are good (some even beautiful), but interiors do come off looking like something out of a stage play. Not a deal breaker by any means.
It reminded me of a 50's western (right down to the swip cuts!) filmed in 2021/22. And being a hug fan of old westerns, that's a huge compliment.
It's a really fun movie and more than worth a watch. Just go in with an open mind.
