Better
(2023)

Worth it, just
The first 4 episodes were excellent, great production and acting all round. It wasn't anything new that hasn't been on before, hints of Line of Duty & Happy Valley storylines being woven in.

Also great to see Leeds having a huge part of the story, and about time West Yorkshire again got some screen time.

It's just the ending. I felt heavily let down as it built up to the final 10 minutes, as you kind of knew how it was going to wrap up. It could have gone many ways, but chose what now feels like an easy way out. It's worth a watch, only 5 episodes.

It just didn't get the ending it deserved in my opinion.

Keep Breathing

The Flashbacks
I was really looking fwd to this after seeing it pop up on Netflix. The 1st four episodes were great, fifth and sixth really annoyed me, way too many flashbacks! Could have been great, sadly I was disappointed.

Shetland: Episode #3.2
(2016)
Episode 2, Season 3

Stepped Up It's Game!
Late to the game discovering Shetland, what an absolutely brilliant crime drama. This episode is where it stepped up its game! You think you know who/what/why only for the rug to pull it out from under you! Brilliant writing, location and acting!

Minder: Last Orders at the Winchester
(1993)
Episode 9, Season 9

One of the best!
The writing on this episode is some of the finest ever! 50 minutes of tight comedy/drama. Football, drinking and smoking gives some of the funniest scenes from Series 9! Minder at its best!

The Larkins
(2021)

Enjoyable.
1st episode was enjoyable Sunday night tv. It's nothing like the original from the early 90's, but that doesn't matter. For those getting annoyed about the changes and adding diversity, you maybe want to reevaluate your life.

War of the Worlds
(2019)

Slow paced? Why not?!
In modern times TV has to be so fast and wrapped up it's actually really enjoyable when something isn't! Ignore the negative reviews and enjoy the pace of this. It's very much 'TWD' but without Zombies kind of feel, beautifully dystopian. The shots of empty streets look normal as of 2020.

Can't wait for Season 3!

Moon
(2009)

Dull
Reading the reviews I expected more from this. Extremely dull and annoying to the point of losing interest about 20 minutes in. The story was so predictable, I wouldn't waste your time.

Last Christmas
(2019)

Great Christmas feel good movie!
Went in the cinema knowing very little about this, but hearing some negativity towards it in the media. Loved it! It was heartwarming, funny, sad, Christmassy, and British! Don't read the media reviews, just go see it!

Bird Box
(2018)

Really Good!
Watched this without any idea of what to expect. The idea is way over the top, but don't let that stop you. I stayed up to the early hours glued to this and the characters. The only downfall is that you kind of know who is going to die, not how they die however, but you just know because of the flashback/forwards. If you watch it without hoping for greatness, but expect something different then get stuck in.

David Brent: Life on the Road
(2016)

Hilarious and moving.
Never a fan of The a Office when it came out but became a fan of Gervais due to the Podcasts with S & K. Extremely funny and moving and honest.
