James May: Our Man in...
(2020)

Viva Italia
I honestly thought Our Man in Japan was pretty boring. It didn't feel very James May at all. But man has that changed with Our Man in Italy! I found it so engaging that I binged it all in a day. And I think mr. May is right; everyone secretly wants to be Italian, even if they don't know it. The hand gestures, the way they enjoy their own language, the beautiful vistas, everything. It's a brilliant country, even if it has its own problems.

Also, fans of James May saying "cheese", rejoice! You shall get your fill and all shall seem right in the universe. Your worries will melt away and leave you a softer, fresher human being.

The Orville: A Tale of Two Topas
(2022)
Episode 5, Season 3

Overly drawn out and foreshadowed
Too much emotional fluff for my taste. I watch sci-fi to be entertained by imaginative futuristic adventures through space and occasionally time, not to have the message preached to me from yet another outlet. The episode felt overly drawn out, the ending was painfully obvious right from the start, and you'd have been forgiven for forgetting that the story took place in a space lambo at all. Sorry, on a spaceship.

Doctor Who: Fugitive of the Judoon
(2020)
Episode 5, Season 12

Lazy retcon adds nothing of value
I will avoid spoilers, but this is yet another episode which retcons the established lore of The Doctor in an unbelievable way while adding nothing memorable or of value.

It epitomises the mistakes of the Chris Chibbie era, and the next showrunner will need nothing short of a miracle to revert this series to what made it such a geeky thrill to watch.

One Strange Rock
(2018)

Good, but slightly too sensational
Pretty good and definitely worth a watch, One Strange Chris Rock is a documentary series about life on this rock we call home, much of it from the perspective of astronauts who have been to the International Space Station and have thus had the privilege of seeing the Earth from space.

Unfortunately, as is quite typical of American documentary series when compared to British ones, there's a fair bit of sensationalism involved. Most prominently, I don't understand why Will Smith is a narrator, as I thought the astronauts did just fine on their own. What exactly makes him an expert on any of this?

But that aside, it was an enjoyable watch, and I do recommend it.

Human Planet
(2011)

After all is said and done, we're only human.
As much as I hate the fact that we're ruining this planet for all the other species (but also ourselves), I must say Human Planet is probably the best of all the nature documentaries. The cinematography is excellent, the stories sublime and so very human, and John Hurt (rest in peace, War Doctor) is an amazing narrator, definitely on par with Attenborough. The "Behind the Lens" segments at the end are especially brilliant.

If you haven't seen Human Planet yet, do so. You won't regret it.

Dynasties II: Hyena
(2022)
Episode 4, Season 1

It's official. Nobody likes hyenas.
Oh yeah, the episode was okay. It's an Attenborough nature documentary, what do you expect? But it's also gotten lower ratings so far than the rest of the series, because nobody likes hyenas.

Disenchantment: Last Splash
(2021)
Episode 6, Season 3

Boring and overly emotional
This episode was just boring, emotional garbage. Witless writing and barely any jokes makes this the worst episode I've seen so far. Think I might just stop watching again. I wanted medieval Futurama, but this isn't it.

It's Clarkson on TV
(2021)

More please.
I could listen to Jeremy Clarkson ranting about Tiger King or comparing David Attenborough to Thanos all day, and if there were enough episodes, I would.

Family Guy: Wild Wild West
(2020)
Episode 7, Season 19

One of the worst episodes, period.
Unfunny and pandering, this was a bad episode even for Family Guy's standards. And I don't like the new mayor one bit. Also where were all the jokes? I don't even think there was a single cutaway. Whoever rated this highly needs his/her head examined.

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency
(2016)

It's damn near perfect
The only bad part was when it ended all too soon. Apparently shows intended for idiots can go on forever, but anything remotely interesting is cancelled because the braindead masses have declared with one voice that it isn't X-Factor or whatever, so they're not interested.

Adam Ruins Everything
(2015)

I used to love this show
I really did. I loved this show. Season 1 was fantastic, season 2 was merely okay, but season 3 is the worst pile of flaming garbage you could ever imagine. I'm not trying to sound like I'm being toxic here, but the ultraliberal propaganda it spews out on a weekly basis by now is just sad to listen to. The show started out both funny and informative, but it is now neither. Even the fact-checking has gone out the window; their data is cherry-picked and extremely biased. And I'm neither Republican nor Democrat, in fact I'm not even American at all, so it's not like I have a stake in this.

Don't watch the new season, just let the show die.
