Significant Other
(2022)

The Napoleon Dynamite of "horror" Movies
This movie was down right awful, and when I say awful, I mean top 5 worst movies I've ever seen.

The only reason it got 1 star and not 0 stars, is because I watched it with friends, and we were cracking up at how stupid it was.

1) There were so many plot holes.

2) the plot itself made 0 sense.

3) seriously? If at first you don't succeed, try again? And again? And again?

4) this movie was not predictable at all. I do give them that, but the CGI and SFX were horrible.

5) the folks that gave this movie a 10 have to be trolling.

If you are with a group of folks, and you want to watch an insanely bad "horror" movie, this is it.

IT ISNT AN ORIGINAL. This was a mashup of 1) Terminator 2 2) Slither 3) Predator 4) Avatar and every other Sifi movie.

Escape Plan
(2013)

It's the typical Stallone/Arnold cheesy action movie
This action movie has Stallone, Arnold, and Jim Caviezel. Isn't that good enough? On top of that it has Sam Neill (from Jurassic park) and 50 Cent.

This movie was cheesy, but it was good. Reminded me of the cheesy 80s action movies. The only thing it was missing was was Steven Seagal and Chuck Norris!

The Night House
(2020)

I like a twist ending...!
We don't have many original movies anymore, and movies today seem to be so predictable.

This movie did have a twist ending, but I was able to piece together most of the ending by the half way point.

It was also very loud at times. I get why they do that, it helps with the Jump Scare factor, but they tried to hard. It was obnoxious. I did NOT find this movie jumpy, or scary at all.

It was a predictable suspense thriller, but it did what it was supposed to. It entertained me.

Old
(2021)

Maybe I just had low expectations?
You never know with M Night Shyamalan.

He has some horrible movies, and he has some very good movies.

I think this one falls somewhere in between.

Pros: 1) Had a decent plot 2) It did keep me wondering 3) Has a surprise ending (like most of his movies)

Cons: 1) acting was poor 2) plot was rushed to the point where it could get confusing.

3) I wish they had more about the "twist" ending.

4) I feel like the ending was also rushed.

Movies are made to entertain, and I was entertained.

The Batman
(2022)

Can we leave Batman alone?
I had extremely low expectations for this movie.

I really enjoyed certain aspects, and despises others.

Pros: 1) Robert Pattinson was a decent Batman. I enjoyed his Batman more than Christian Bale.

2) The spin on the Riddler was great. It was good seeing a Batman villain that we haven't seen since the 90s.

Cons: 1) Robert Pattinson was an AWFUL Bruce Wayne. His version of Bruce Wayne is the main thing I thoroughly hated.

2) Idk if I'm partial to to Danny DeVito, but the penguin wasn't a good one either. I think I'm just bias to the original Oswald Cobblepots.

3) the story was drawn out.

4) why in the world are they bringing the Joker back. For the love of God, leave that poor man alone!

Joker
(2019)

One of the best origin stories!
Joker doesn't have a true back story and that's what makes him so intriguing.

This origin story was a true psychological and plausible account.

This truly shows the downward spiral of a "semi-normal" man into the depths of his own self hatred.

He transforms from a man, to the Joker that we know and love!

Signs
(2002)

It's a typical M. Night Movie
M. Night has some of the best movies, and also has some of the worst movies.

I think Signs is one of his better movies. This movie has become somewhat of an Icon.

We haven't really seen an alien movie done in this manner.

Assault on Precinct 13
(1976)

It's an unbelievable 70s action flick...
I would have given a higher rating if this movie was believable.

1) Silenced Revolvers? Yea Right 2) a pump shotgun firing 2 shots at a time... Right.

3) Shooting a flare would not have ignited and caused an explosion.

4) believe it or not... Silencers do not silence, unless shooting a small caliber or a subsonic round. The shots would have still have been heard.

Frailty
(2001)

Primal Fear meets the Usual Suspects
Was this movie predictable? Yes.

Was this movie a great psychological thriller? Yes Bill P and Matthew M did great in this movie.

It's one of those movies in which you find yourself thinking about it hours after it's ended.

Even though most of it was predictable, it still had me on the edge of my seat.

The Last Castle
(2001)

Has you feeling all of the emotions.
Wow. This movie was much better than expected.

It started kind of slow, but man did it have a strong ending.

I felt all of the emotions in this movie.

If I had one complaint it was that the ending was kind of rushed. I wish we could have seen more of the aftermath.

Without Remorse
(2021)

With the book aside...
So everyone knows books are always better than movies... hands down.

If this movie would have been called anything other than Without Remorse, it would have better reviews.

I enjoyed the flick, but it was not Without Remorse.

24 Hours to Live
(2017)

Maybe I had low expectations ...
I read the reviews pre-watching. In fact, the reviews are why I pushed it off.

I actually enjoyed this flick.

Yes, it was extremely predictable. This movie has been done 1000 different times, but still good!

You Were Never Really Here
(2017)

I feel like this could have been Joker 2.0
It kept me entertained. A man who is mentally tortured is hired to rescue girls that are sold into sex trafficking. He does this while contemplating suicide in some pretty gruesome ways.

If you like disturbing dark thrillers, this one is for you.

The Silencing
(2020)

SPOILER: Wasn't the worst movie I've seen-
I gave it six stars because yes, it did what it was supposed to: it entertained.

I was just a little confused at the Sheriff. She was portrayed to be an honest cop, but on a dime turned bad, but then turned good again.

I feel like this movie was rushed.

Breach
(2020)

Did I lose brain cells?
I felt like this movie made me dumber.

Maybe I had high expectations being it was Bruce Willis.

The concept of the movie was good, but the movie itself was awful. It's like Alien had a baby with Life.

The acting was cheesy, the plot was cheesy, and the ending was cheesy.

Honest Thief
(2020)

It's what you expect from Liam Neeson
It's your typical Liam Neeson movie.

A guy is wrong my crooked cops.

He goes all vigilante and does what he has to do to seek justice.

It wasn't bad by any means, just very predictable.

Parallel
(2018)

The idea of this movie was better than the movie itself.
This movie COULD have been a great movie.

The acting was cheesy, the story line was confusing and it felt like it dragged.

Out of Time
(2021)

Had so much potential!
I couldn't give this movie a 1 star because it did grasp my attention. If you can get past the first 10 or so minutes, it is somewhat entertaining.

Some of the acting is bad. You can tell it's very low budget.
