Even Lambs Have Teeth
(2015)

Probably the worst film I have seen in a while
I have started writing this review whilst watching this film as I need to pass the time till the end.

1. Poor acting.

2. Poor story.

3. Poor editing.

4. Poor script.

And poor me and anyone else who sat through this. There are many other films that do this revenge story better. Shudder did it better with the film Revenge in 2017. Which was better in all aspects. Which just one of many that do it better. Its a good storyline to see the person or people mistreated finally get their own back on the perpetrators. Now I appreciate budget sometimes has an effect on a film. But there are many low budget films with a better turnout than this. Take the Horseman for instance. An Australian Low Budget revenge film done excellently. So it can be done. Just not on this occasion.

Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire
(2023)

Great story building
I don't know why so many low/negative reviews. Yes there are comparisons to Star Wars, Seven Samurai and Magnificent Seven etc but they are also great films. And there are many films that are similar to each other. But Rebel Moon actually had lots of interesting characters with an actual good female lead. At the risk of getting shot down there was alot of aspects I preferred compared to the Star Wars series and given enough time it could be a very interesting new world. Its about time we got a new fresh story rather than another rubbish attempt to continue a Star Wars film or another Marvel film trying to continue a dead franchise or an awful Fast and the Furious film. This was filmed in a great art style although a little CGI heavy. But yet again it would be hard to get this visual art style in true real life sets. As for the comments on over use of slow motion i didn't mind it. It was very similar style to Sucker Punch which also got bad reviews but I also didn't mind that. Although I may have compared it to past films try to go into it not comparing it to other similar movies and try to enjoy it as something new. I enjoyed it and look forward to the universe growing and hope all the negtive reviews don't win leading to it getting cancelled before it can grow like so many good things do.

South Park: Joining the Panderverse
(2023)

Hilarious totally on point
Another excellent special hitting the nail on the head of recent events. So many parts I laughed out loud because it was so on point with current events. The South Park team are always excellent at assessing these moments and then putting them into shows. Much like the Pandemic special and Streaming wars were. I don't know how well it will go down with Disney but what this show raises are very real points which in this current climate strike the nerves of many people. As they always do they articulate what many of us think but can't say. I am actively trying not to give any details of the episode because its better to enjoy it yourself. But I would 100% recommend this special..

The Mad Death
(1983)

Not bad but let down by poor acting
The plot is good but it seems to jump around from scene to scene with some pretty poor acting between. So acting is solid but the script is very poor in parts. The ferret scene was ridiculous. The initial scene with cat attacking the dog also ridiculous. And you don't find out about the dog or its family. Also the cat goes from one scene in the house and the next scene its been run over by a visitor to the house and is being eaten by a fox. This whole part feels like it had scenes missing. This happens alot on the DVD. Bits seem like scenes are missing. If these issues were fixed the DVD would be alot better. But not bad.

Sisu
(2022)

A fun film not to be taken seriously
I won't cover all the details about plot, cinematography and unbelievable action that other reviews have already covered in depth. All I will say is the trailer showed exactly what it would be like. Expect nothing more and you won't be disappointed. Its fun and it has far fetched action which is great. Its not ment to be realistic Its just a over the top one man army action film. My only gripe is the use of Russian military vehicles marked up as German vehicles. Although the Germans did capture some I would've preferred if they stuck to more familiar German military vehicles. Which would have made it feel more familiar and authentic from a German military perspective. But that would be my only issue.

The Batman
(2022)

Slow and drawn out
I will start with the positives. The casting was great. I actually thought Pattinson was excellent as Batman as where the rest of the main cast. I liked the dark and gritty tone and the ending gave me hope for a sequel. But for the negatives, the film did not need to be so drawn out. A lot of the scenes were slow with no need to be. They talked extremely slowly which dragged the film out. So the pacing was really off. Its not the edge of your seat kind of film but a very slow burn. Towards the end I was clock watching wondering when it was going to finish. There was a couple of points at the end where I thought it was about to finish but like the rest of the film it just kept going on and on. All together I enjoyed it but it could've been shorter with no damage to the story.

Friday the 13th
(2009)

Left wanting
I am fan of the whole series and I will let alot slide but I wasn't a fan of this. I liked it only because it's another F13 film but it could have been much better. I liked the new Jason but just didn't like the story. It needs the new Halloween treatment as the new Halloweens have shown how a great reboot (soft reboot) can be done. They should do a similar treatment to F13.

Hellraiser
(1987)

A great horror film
I will keep it short. It's the best of the series and shame the rest did not follow suit with this one. As it could've been a great series of films rather than mediocre straight to DVD set of films. The first three are good with this one the best. The most recent one Hellraiser Judgement is also a good return to form although a different feel.

Raised by Wolves
(2020)

Excellent Story (Some Minor Spoilers)
I have read some of the other reviews and each to their own. Because I found it refreshing change. I loved the story and new direction of technology vs religion. I did read in another review how it was weird that the Necromancer could hack the ship systems but later in the story it is covered how she can do that. However its subtle and you need to pay attention. It's a slow burn that picks up pace. I was told by some people Breaking Bad was a slowburn. But that never picked up. This does. I loved this and I am hooked. I started watching the series and couldn't stop till the end. My only issues were about the Necromancers eyes. They became and issue later on but they weren't an issue at the start. And the caring Android going psycho has been done. But other than that I have no issues. Excellent, I just wished Ridley directed it all.

Psycho Goreman
(2020)

Great Film
Unlike some of the other reviews I really liked the Mimi character. Her obnoxious behaviour was on point. It's was like Power Rangers meets Monster Squad and it was great.

Tom yum goong 2
(2013)

Not the film I was expecting
Unlike this movie I won't waste your time. I will keep it short just like this movie should have been. This is nothing compared to the first Warrior King/The Protector film or Ong Bak. It's full of awful CGI and bad stunts. With a moped chase scene that goes on for far to long. Tony Jaa should have stuck to what he was great at and made his films special and that was great stunts and great fight scenes none of which are in this movie. I was extremely let down by this film. Also there was some awful acting in it. I mean drama club acting.

Kursk
(2018)

A true event well shown on screen
Being an ex submariner I was interested in this movie and how they were going to present a terrible disaster and it didn't disappoint. It totally gives you the feeling of what it would have been like for the crew in the last few hours of their life. There were some very harrowing scenes which definitely reminded me of my time onboard. A common fear of submariners is being stuck in a boat at the bottom of the sea and I feel this film portrays the feeling of this well. It hit me emotionally as I could really imagine what it would have been like for that unlucky few who survived the first two blasts and were stuck in the remaining wreckage. This disaster is a very sensitive and emotional subject and I feel this film shows it in a realistic and respectful manner. Even though you know the outcome it's still a good watch. Some of the Royal Navy scenes were a annoying but that is only because I am overly critical of that being ex Royal Navy myself. So like with other Navy films I just put that to the back of my mind and enjoy the film for what it is. Overall I believe it has the same Claustrophobic feel as Das Boot. Of course the only final comment is due to the fact there was no survivors of this incident the film has been made of accounts of people there on the surface and some documents recovered from the site such as letters written by the crew in there final moments. So there is some filling in of the blanks by the movie producers. However I feel this has been dealt with well.

Greyhound
(2020)

A Great War Film
Being an ex submariner I was excited for this film coming out and it didn't disappoint. Its shot very well with some very believable scenes and action. It's not over the top Hollywood action and it gives a great sense of what it would feel like crossing the Atlantic in a slow convoy being hunted by a German Wolfpack. Well worth a watch.

Daman akeseo guhasoseo
(2020)

Very Slow Burn
As some of the other reviews have said this has a slow start. But I would add it had a slow middle and end. It has a Taken feel but not on par with Taken. The action scenes are good and one of the villains chasing the main character is pretty cool. But I won't watch this film again. It's okay and worth a watch if there is nothing else on but I wouldn't recommend putting it at top of your list. For a film of this type, a much better one is The Horseman.
