Unbelievable
(2019)

Disturbing start and feel good ending! Must Watch!
'Unbelievable' is a true crime police procedural drama on victims of a serial rapist having same pattern. This reminded me of Indian series 'Delhi Crime' which also follows a same routine of neutral approach of polices and administrative support groups.

It is finely structured limited series with gripping screenplay which starts with very disturbing plots but ends on very positive and feel good vibe!

Jug Jugg Jeeyo
(2022)

Typical Filmy but engaging one!
What's Good- Just started watching and got engaged throughout! It has high entertainment quotient to keep you engaged till the end.

Anil Kapoor and Neetu Singh are charismatic for their roles. Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani have nicely performed. Manish Paul and Prajakta Koli have also good in their supporting roles.

Music is good and goes with storytelling.

What's not good- Some plots are typically filmy and illogical.

Jersey
(2022)

Tedious!
Tedious, too long and plots seem to have created forcefully to show titular character's struggles and pain which is just another attitude of Kabir Singh!

Chandramukhi
(2022)

Not too engaging!
It is inconsistent throughout and doesn't have enough magic to engage audience.

It is a poor adaptation of Marathi book by same name!

Music is good but star cast including Amruta Khanvilkar seems to old to be young artist for the role.

Runway 34
(2022)

Keeps you engaged!
This film stands out with it's excellent VFX effects, especially in first half with plane hovering around bad weather, dark clouds and an hope to land.

Ajay Devgan has delivered very good performance throughout. Rakulpreet also plays the role of co-pilot beautifully.

It has some flaws but still a engaging thriller that keeps you at the edge of seat!

Panchayat
(2020)

A good vibe!
Just amazing, heartwarming, enjoyable and entertaining...!

It's a treat to watch Neena Gupta, Raghuvir Yadav and Jitendra Kumar.

It's presenting an issues with simplicity. It deals with local politics and relatable issues like standing up for your friends! A good watch!๐Ÿ‘

Agantuk
(1991)

A Masterpiece!
I am speechless to explain anything after watching this movie!

Ray is master and proves to be unmatched director again and again.

If you wanna see the class, watch Ray's work including this one! It's marvellous in every frame and screen space throughout!

You
(2018)

A good thriller watch!
What's Good- It may give a guilt of viewing something that romanticises horrible crimes towards women: stalking, violence and even murder.

Yet 'You' captures attention of its audience, and gives not only entertaining thrill ride but also writes it characters and plot in such an amazing and intelligent way.

A good thriller watch!

White Shirt
(2017)

A Relatable Relationship Tale!
What's Good- This is a nice short film that focuses on heartbreak and moving on. This could be healing and courageous for all broken hearted to move on from toxic or unhappy relationships.

'White Shirt' is an extremely relatable tale and a must watch!

Fleabag
(2016)

Honest one!
What's Good- This is the most original, believable, beautiful and honest story line in recent times.

Every screen space of this show is hilarious or heartbreaking or both sometimes. Beautifully written, amazingly performed and elegantly executed to be a perfect honest show!

Potra
(2021)

A making that is genuine!
What's Good- Potra highlights issue of menstruation faced by girls in rural India.

Story revolves around teenager Geeta who is doing excellent in school. However, family starts pressuring for her marriage as soon as she gets her first period.

Lead role of Geeta is played by first time actor and she was not professional actor before being cast in this film.

It genuinely shows director's heart into the project and it reflects in every frame of the film.

I was fortunate to watch it at Pune International Film Festival and I am not sure on which platform it is available now. Watch it whenever you get a chance!

The Spy
(2019)

Astonishing Spycraft!
This is true story of Israel's most prominent spy, *Eli Cohen* who infiltrated the Syrian government in the 1960s and remarkably fools the Syrian president to get appointed himself as defence minister in Syrian government.

Astonishing spycraft, suspenseful and interesting history with strategic ideas.

It's told from the Israeli point of view, so I am not sure how accurate it is or how fair it is to the Syrians; however, it is for sure one of the most interesting shows.

Gangubai Kathiawadi
(2022)

From fantasy world to reality awakening!
What's Good- This one is to step out from our regular world to face the harsh realities of life. This movie is one kind of rude, however necessary awakening.

I am amazed by background score and songs, especially by Shreya Ghoshal and Neeti Mohan ones. Just mesmerising!

The direction is very good and it virtually gets you in the ally of Kamathipura.

Better could be climax that could have been shorter which sounds lengthier.

Doraibu mai kรข
(2021)

Convincing work of Murakami into film!
What's Good- One of the main reason to watch this film is it's adapted from Murakami's book, one of my favourite author for current time.

I have felt Murakami's works through reading but rarely watched through films. This is the first time I'm watching his work through a film which is amazingly portrayed by director with terrific good direction that takes you into Murakami's world!

Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1
(2021)

One time but recommended watch!
What's Good- Started watching this just to kill time and got engaged throughout.

This is typical one of South Indian masala movie but with more genuine efforts on logic and cinematography.

It is one time but recommended watch for its high entertainment quotient!

Alma Matters: Inside the IIT Dream
(2021)

Relatable for all!
What's Good- Though the show focuses on IIT, it is relatable to all career options. Anxiety, frustrations, pressure and dilemma is everywhere and IIT is also not an exception.

It made me glued to the screen for three episodes. Message that documentary wants to convey is really simple about being good human irrespective of whatever you choose for living and real happiness of peaceful environment, little things and mindfulness.

Finally relieved from long running guilt of not getting eligible for IIT or similar dreams! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Spider-Man: No Way Home
(2021)

Action that doesn't stop!
What's Good- Reviewing Spider-Man seems to be tough job when you are not fan but you see fans whistling with amazing excitement in theatre. So, it's masterpiece for fans for sure.

Talking for regular audiences, it is still a treat to watch marvellous cinematographic work, I totally enjoyed this movie when ball gets rolling after half an hour into the movie and action continues till the end. This instalment going to be big game changer in the MCU!

Dhamaka
(2021)

A lukewarm Dhamaka!
This one starts ticking very efficiently and keeps audience engaged every minute. Kartik Aaryan has delivered a genuinely good performance with Amruta Subhash, Mrunal Thakur and Vikas Kumar in a perfect supportive roles.

Visuals and screenplay are treat to watch to get engrossed every passing moment.

What's not so good- Problem starts in second half when expectations raised in first half starts falling while revealing suspense feels no exciting and things become too predictable.

Overall a good watch over weekend with crisp and shorter run time!

Sardar Udham
(2021)

A disturbing but amazing work!
What's Good- Have watched this disturbing but amazing work of Shoojit Sircar last night!

Like 'Schindler's List', This is also one of the patriotic movies with no jingoistic or chauvinistic approach and conveys message straightforwardly.

Ending line is still reverberating in my mind.. "After more than hundred years, India is yet to receive an official apology from the British Government for brutal massacre of Jallianwala Baug."

A must watch!

Final Rating- 4.5/5.0.

Little Things
(2016)

A good watch!
What's Good- This is the most cutest and adorable series.

Kavya & Dhruv are amazingly played by Mithila Palkar & Dhruv Sehgal which keeps you smiling / crying throughout.

A good watch under 30 minutes episodes!

Ojing-eo geim
(2021)

It is too addictive worth binge watch!
What's Good- Yes, concept and plot of this survival drama is not a new thing, but the way it conveys with conviction has no match.

It is high intense drama of human emotions like fear, greed, worrying, anxiety and humanity. Like in 'parasite', it again shows social inequality issues of South Korea.

The series is a high-quality work and It's visuals are strong to build suspense very effectively.

Recommending to watch original Korean audio with English subtitles. And yes, it can be addictive one to binge watch!

Gandhi
(1982)

A must watch!
What's Good- Irrespective of what opinion you have on Gandhi as a leader or person, I will recommend this one to all movie lovers. Great Movie , Great Direction and Great acting!

'Gandhi' is a extraordinary movie of an extraordinary man!

It masterfully portrays one of the significant historical event of 20'th Century.

A must watch!

Final Rating- 5.0/5.0.

Mahanagar
(1963)

A must must watch!
What's Good-

Ray was exceptionally intelligent in potraying human emotions and conflicts on screen. Mahanagar is just another example of his genius.

This 1963 Bengali film is relevant even today.

Story revolves around strong woman and her courage to be economic leader of a middle class family. Ray also portray real aspect of feminism.

A must must watch!

Final Rating- 5.0/5.0.

La casa de papel
(2017)

Heart pumping and enjoyable!
Latest season 5 / Part 1 is not the season audience expected, may be due to highest expectations already, but it is still thrilling as earlier seasons and enjoyable throughout.

This is rarity of this show that almost every character leaves a mark on the audience! Recommended for binge watching to get the best of the show!

Shershaah
(2021)

Climax leaves you moist-eyed!
What's Good- The film's little weak screenplay doesn't make audiences intrigued and connected for first one hour, but it comes to full life in second half when the battle begins.

Sidharth Malhotra's sincere performance compensates weak areas like screenplay and uneven plots.

Finally, it manages well and the climax leaves you moist-eyed and feeling satisfied with the watch!
