Virgin River
(2019)

forever woe-is-me Mel...
Hubby and I watched this for season 1. Hubby was done. I kept going through season 2, not sure how I made it through other than thank goodness for "fast-forward"....... The forever woe-is-me Mel. Yes, we have to delve into the down side of people's lives, but Mel tips the scales a bit much.

Charmaine has to be the most annoying person. Jack doing everything right by her, but she is clueless to being even a little bit human.

Yes, Hope, played by the wonderful Annette O'Toole, is annoying also, but she is expected to be. From the get go, they let us in on that part of her character.

This series shows us why men are so much more superior than women when it comes to handling emotions. Some may say cause men don't care, but that is not the reason, it is because men handle it better. I know from experience, I know I am a strong woman, but I also know I am the family's crying worrier, my hubby is the Rock that keeps me grounded!

How people act toward you should not be the reason to act badly back.

I am still into this show so as to follow Jack's life more than anything. Plus it passes time while I quarantine for 5 days cause I was exposed to Covid by a neighbor.

The Recruit
(2022)

FUN..... but
Okay, I will watch anything that is some sort of "whodunit". This has been FUN,,, but the actor, Laura Haddock, there is just something I can not stand about her. I have not seen the whole season yet, so I will try to continue because I enjoy seeing Noah Centineo as this character . I think he did a wonderful job! . I have been binge watching BBC whodunit shows so I was happy to see this come on Netflix.

I hope it gets renewed for a second season, but I hope they get characters that play off Noah better and can also get a little comedy, perhaps be quirky too, like Noah is.

Oh, and I am not a fan of a loud rap music soundtrack . But to each his own!

Fire Country
(2022)

Too bad, was really hoping it would be watchable
I watched the first 4 episodes. A 3 rating is being generous. So far I was really hoping for something better. There are way too many personal issues. Not one of the actors show any ease with the characters they are portraying, they all look like they are trying too hard to mesh. I love Max Thieriot and Kevin Alejandro. But, OMG let's see some semblance of real firefighting and get away from the love triangle that is going to happen. The premise of the show had promise but they completely messed this show up! Please just fight fires and drop the extra characters that are taking away from what the show could be. Max is luckily still going to be on Seal Team.

Coroner
(2019)

Okay, but gosh.... (updated after into S4)
I started watching this from the beginning after it was into it's 4th season. I liked it in the beginning, but it has gotten to the point that every single character has to deal with severe mental issues. I understand hitting on mental health, but this is a bit extreme. Some plots are so over the top! It would sure seem that if a coroner had this extreme mental issues, they would not be allowed to work and all cases would be under scrutiny.

Then when the son makes stupid choices (going to a party, taking drugs and drinking) and gets into trouble, of course the show has to make it racial. Dude needs to figure out how to make better choices for himself.

NOW end of season 4, if you watched it this far, OH MY GOSH, there is no shut off valve for this family! PLEASE the show needs to get back to solving crimes, not personal issues. HINT: it is supposed to be entertaining.

NCIS: Hawai'i
(2021)

I like this !
I like this show! BUT they need to stop with the relationship stuff every single episode. If I see Lucy or Whistler on the screen I fast forward past them. Just get back to being agents and do the jobs. I did like the idea of new characters to see . But, let's get back to business, not these 2 females relationship!

*I was so happy to see that NCIS got rid of Gibbs cause I stopped watching that, I was so tired of his high and mightiness and thinking that NCIS would not have replaced an aging agent long ago. I hope this show gets better cause I almost can't watch it with the content as it is.

FBI: Most Wanted
(2020)

I did like it...
It took me a few episodes to be okay with this show. The characters began to mesh and have some chemistry. Then when so many actors took leave of the show I was hoping to at least see some good replacements. I truly hate the latest actor that has come to the show (Alexa Davalos), she is cold, unappealing, a downer and very unlikable. She ruined this show for me.

FBI: International
(2021)

Too bad it's this bad!
I started watching this because I like FBI and FBI Most Wanted (though even Most Wanted is going downhill). I liked the first episode, but don't like the actors, except one. There is no charisma at all with any of the characters, and I can't see it happening either. And now, after just a few episodes, the show has a love interest story line between 2 of the main characters. This ruined the show, what little bit was likable.

**edited 2/2/22, still pretty lousy acting! AND PLEASE, get rid of the office love ridiculousness! This type of show isn't supposed to be a LMN movie and having a love chemistry, it is supposed to be about the jobs they solve!! I'm not sure I can even stand this show as a filler to watch in my down time.

To each his own, though!

NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service
(2003)

Just into Season 3. I watch for the laughs.
I enjoy this show mostly for the laughs. I wished I had watched it from the start. I actually watched Bull w/ Michael Weatherly and did not really care about NCIS enough to try it. Then after checking out the stars in all the NCIS shows, I saw that Lucas Black was in NCIS /New Orleans. That is where I started and watched a few seasons and then also started watching NCIS-LA, and season 2 got me hooked because of the funny parts. I watched about 3 seasons of that and finally decided to watch NCIS. Now it is hard to go back to watching the other NCIS' cause they aren't funny enough. I know it is far from any kind of reality, but I am not watching for that reason. I love seeing the computers and the cellphones that were NEW back then. To see Abby get so excited about the things she can do on those old computers is hilarious. I am in S3 E12, so I have a long way to go, but it will be fun to see the changes in technology along the way.

A Cinderella Story: Starstruck
(2021)

Cute for young ones...
This was lively and cute for the little kids.

Cringe worthy for the parents to have to sit through.

Sweet Magnolias
(2020)

Very enjoyable to watch... albeit some issues
Yes, it is predictable. The acting a bit too much. But, it is fun to watch to see the small town life (brings back memories for me). The idea of 3 ladies as true friends that are always there for each other is nice to see. The budding romance is also fun to watch.

There are things about this show I do not enjoy... the chemistry between the ladies at times seems hard-pressed to feel genuine. Did the writers really want one of the ladies (Dana Sue) to be hated so much? The ladies could easily get together without drinking, but I suppose they can't handle their sorrow otherwise. (Everyone has their escapism, mine is watching these kind of shows).

All in all... I still have watched and re-watched this and very pleased to see there will be a 2nd season.

False Positive
(2021)

Pretty bad
I think Brosnan couldn't figure out what his lines were so he just hummed his way through them. This was bad. It is not a movie about "women's choice". It's just a badly acted movie with such ridiculousness going on throughout. I wonder why I even watched the whole thing... perhaps waiting for it to actually get better... HA, that didn't happen!

13 Reasons Why
(2017)

If you have not started this show.. only watch S1
S1 was very good! S2 Okay. S3, they introduced a character that should never have even come into the show and made it hard to keep vested in what this show was to be about. S4, Unbearable to watch. = Sad / Unreal / Way too far-fetched. It lost it's purpose and became a joke. I felt bad for the actors to have to be part of this show. I just could not finish it.

Shooter
(2016)

Please Netflix, pick this up
I love this show. I know I am easily entertained, but I enjoy this sow a lot! I hope it gets picked up!!!

My Perfect Romance
(2018)

Bad, just Bad
I love cute romance movies and was hoping for the best when I started watching this one. But it is just BAD! Turned it off after about 15 minutes (which was way more time than I should have watched). Supposedly this program developer, Vivian, came up with this algorithm to find a "perfect match" based on compatibility. Well, she was finagled into trying the program herself and sure enough she got 5 matches, that were very far from "perfect", it was a joke. And then Vivian's sister, while talking on the phone with her, mentions that the program is such a success. Yea, right! I just couldn't watch any more. The male lead was so into himself and the female lead was unattractive. The " My Perfect Match" algorithm would never have put them together ( if it actually worked) anyway as they had no compatibility at all.

Lucifer
(2016)

Oh my, I watched for the 1st time and LAUGHED so much!
So, I broke down and decided to give this a go. I watched it for the first time this morning and had such a good laugh. I LOVE this show. I hope to binge watch the 1st 3 seasons before they expire on Hulu. Please tell me it keeps going with the fun and innuendos throughout all the seasons!

Red Sparrow
(2018)

Slow! No suspense, but of you like sexual wierd
Hubby and I tried to watch, but only lasted 40 minutes into it, which was about 20 minutes more than we should have. Horribly slow and I did not know that training a spy would mean to show them how to become sexual objects of torture. I guess we just couldn't get passed that part to get to any part of this film that may have redeemed itself. We like Jennifer Lawrence, but too bad she ended up in this film. Better luck with the next one!

Chicago Med
(2015)

Oh please, just getting so bad...
Time to pull the plug on this. I liked watching this for a few episodes in the beginning, then it became just a show to have on in the background. Now, I am so close to no longer watching it. My main things I have got tired of, Sarah Reese is always so sick looking, she looks like she is on depressants, I think she is the one that needs psychiatric help and Dr. Noah Sexton is horrid, just bad acting from Roland Buck. They need to clean house of the bad actors and narrow down "hospital staff" to the few doctors and nurses you would actually see in an ED. There is just way too much wrong with this show. What could make me actually watch this and not have this show as background noise is for them to get a good medical advisor, please!!

NCIS: New Orleans
(2014)

Entertaining enough, but wish there were more laughs.
I actually started watching this because of watching Bull w/ Michael Weatherly.

I decided to check out the stars in all the NCIS shows, I saw that Lucas Black was in NCIS /New Orleans. That is why I started with NCIS/NO and liked it enough, so I binge watched 3 seasons and then also started watching NCIS-LA and season 2 got me hooked because of the funny parts. I binge watched about 4 seasons of that and finally decided to try NCIS., which I am into S3 and now it is hard to go back to watching the other NCIS' cause they aren't funny enough.

Bottom line about NCIS/NO, I do not like Bakula's character all that much, I disliked Zoe/Brody and was so happy to see her leave, I can't seem to get used to Shalita/Percy as I feel she is trying too hard to be accepted. I really wish there was more funny stuff. But I will keep watching anyway.

I do watch all the NCIS shows and have enjoyed watching the changes in technolgy with each show.

Station 19
(2018)

Awful... nothing better to say
SO BAD! I was hoping to see better, but TV is just crap nowadays. And this tops the list of crap TV. If I could have given it a negative rating I would have. I am in the medical field and see firefighters enough to know how awful this is. OK, it's TV, but WOW... just bad from every aspect, especially the acting! I made it through the first hour, but no more for me. Why is this even allowed on TV? Obviously there are no real firefighters consulting on this.

Home Again
(2017)

Fun and enjoyable. Lighthearted and warm.
I always love Reese in anything, even though this was a little smarmy. Beacause Reese was in this it gave this movie something worthy to watch. I am glad I did. I like a good fun movie in the afternoon. I laughed, I cried, I liked it a lot. The three young men are charming, handsome and sexy in their own way. Nothing my hubby would watch, but I am allowed some fun for me. Yay! Now if I can just find another charming movie to see on my free afternoon.

9-1-1
(2018)

Pretty bad all around..
I wanted to watch this so bad because of working in the medical field, but my gosh... it is just so bad. Too many things to mention... bad acting, nothing close to reality of how a firehouse or 911 operator would be. And when there are things that happen that would normally cost people their jobs , but those issues don't even get addressed it is awful. One okay thing is showing the home life of the characters, but to have every single character have huge issues can be draining on a show. Hard to keep up with who has the worst woes of the episode. I know, it is just a show, but this one is absolutely the worst thing on TV, along with Station 19 and Now 911 Lone Star. How can these shows still be allowed airtime????

S.W.A.T.
(2017)

Likable entertainment, not realism...
So, I will watch just about anything that are about cops, military, or medical. I was hoping for better, but perhaps the writers will get better stories written and tech will take better care of their part. The characters will mesh better after a bit I am sure. I will keep watching anyway. Give it a try as long as you watch because you want to be entertained, not for realism.

Hawaii Five-0
(2010)

LOVE it, but...Pls exit Chi McBride
I have been binge watching this show for the last 4 months and have seen through Season 7 episode 12. I still love the show, but I truly feel that adding Chi McBride took away from the nucleus of Alex and Scott's characters. To me it seems that Chi would like to be in every scene and be considered the star. Adding a few guest stars all the time are great. Watching Carol Burnett, Melanie Griffith, Treat Williams, etc. etc. has certainly been fun! I also have enjoyed seeing Ian Anthony Dale and Christine Lahti being recurring stars. Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park and Masi Oka will be missed, but I am looking forward to the new characters. oh, and it is nice to know Ian Anthony Dale will become a regular.
