Chocolate
The story is great, the actors are great but it is slow paced. The dialogue was very little. It would be more interesting if they added a bit more to the story. The killing over the dept could be more developed to justify the employment of the Croatian. But later we find out why. A bit flimsy in that area.

The photography & the music draw you as what will happen next. The Croatian was very creepy, great acting. However, again if the three main actors had more screen time, elaborating more on their parts would enhance the story.

The choice of the color of the jag, chocolate, adds to the creepy flavor of the Croatian. The chasing of Georgina round the house can be longer. I think the china brothers have a good vision & I am sure it will be greater in future films.

Zombie Time
Zombie movies are great fun. One would guess when I bought this movie in a very good condition for less than $2 it is going to be low budget. Yes the acting & the script are quite poor, but you cannot take this movie seriously & compare it to the well made Zombie movies out there.

I saw the funny side of the things, Blake used two different guns during the first part of the movie. One of the two girls while they were escaping had glasses on then they realized later, she started the movie without them, so she took them off afterwards. Then Blake had two similar black jackets. One torn from the upper right shoulder, & one was ok, used intermittently during the latter part of the movie, in the shelter. My favorite part is the moving hand that can grab & see where it's going. The grainy look of the movie was intended because there were scenes which were good. The killing and gore is plentiful. Especially when Blake took two heads off at the same time.

Overall, there is a funny side for this movie. I don't know if they were intended or not but I had a good laugh picking out the mistakes.

Frankly I was worried for the actors in catching something in the dirty place they were filming & perhaps getting scratched from the rusty metal around them, which will make them needing tetanus shots.

Yes we like Sex, but we don't want to talk about it
This is a movie about things we don't wish to discuss, think about or even remember. Maturity from being a child to a teenager has its pressures. Some will have good memories some would rather not. The movie brings to the surface what most teenagers would like to explore. Alcohol, drugs and Sex. Boys as teenagers have one track mind. Their lack of experience leads to unsatisfactory results in their relationship with their girl friends. This what life is all about. Learning from experiences.

The choice of the girls, their backgrounds, their richness, their prettiness is to shortcut the process of "I want to be an adult and do whatever I want". Not an easy choice as one can see. Some may consider this movie vulgar, insensitive, female exploitation, & the boys selfish, inconsiderate & lacking social aptitude. This what we see being put to us. The movie concentrated on the physical side rather than the emotional side, and this is what it made less appealing to some.

However, we cannot ignore the fact that at some stage those of us went through some if not all those experiences. Good or bad, that's the fun of it.

Life's Moments
You either you love this movie with its dramatic effect & impact on one's life experiences, or you hate it due to its cultural & prolonged emotional differences. Love is in a swinging mood. Breaking hearts as it moves along. Physical needs was a necessity but was not enough to sustain the emotional needs.

The performance was brilliant but it left a lump in my throat as I was looking for a relief along the way. Desperately looking for reconciliation, some sort of satisfaction in the time when freedom was questionable. The background music was sustainable with mood of the movie. Happy, joyful, & thematic as it swings from scene to scene.

The director must have had great influences in creating this movie, whether his own, his friends or through the lens of life. He managed to capture certain moments that We all thought, lived, or dreamt of it, and left it in the distance past.

Reluctant Angel
(1997)

Angels are what we believe
Megan portrait a non-believer in herself, in her work and most of all reliance on others rather than discover herself in what she achieve. It took another disbeliever (Jamez woolvett) that fate brought together, to show each other that life is not an easy path.

To enjoy this movie you need to go deeper in the characters, the story and the message behind the movie. Megan had the spark to fire up what was lost or forgotten. James Gallanders new what he had and didn't want to lose it.

This is a great film, a self exploration with some comedy thrown in. It makes you think how far can we go if we really tried and pushed our self to do the least expected. NK.
