Laapataa Ladies
(2023)

Good stories doesn't need budget....!!!
First of all Kiran Rao should make films more often. Laapata ladies is a sweet yet powerful story of the society. What you call is true feminism and upliftment of women.

The performance from each and every actor is spot on according to the need of the cinema and the small anecdotes like Phool calling his husband by his name and Manju maai eating sweet at the end of the movie will make you emotional yet joyful.

If you haven't watch it yet , you are missing something. India needs films like this.

And a special mention to ram sampath for the tracks and the background score. Each and every thing in the movie falls as per plan. It's one of the best if not the best movie India has produced in recent times.

Highway
(2014)

Don't Just Watch It... Feel It...!!!
Highway is the fifth film of the marvelous Imtiaz Ali. One of the best contemporary directors and storyteller in India has made a soulful movie like Highway. Highway is the best work of Imtiaz Ali till date. Highway is a story of a rich girl Veera Tripathi(Alia Bhatt) who is full of life and is kidnapped by a contract goon Mahaveer Bhati(Randeep Hooda). Based on Stockholm Syndrome this film depicts the similarities between Veera and Mahaveer's childhood sufferings and how this helps to create a strong bond between the hostage and the kidnapper. Add to it is the soulful track from AR Rahman and breathtaking scenes captured by the veteran Anil Mehta..

Story, Screenplay and Dialogues: Story, screenplay and dialogues are penned by Imtiaz Ali. It is not a very good written story but Imtiaz Ali binds you with his powerful screenplay. Dialogues of the movie are okay.

Acting : Mainly focusing on only two character there is not many actors working in the movie... Alia Bhatt is surely an actress to watch out in the future . you can say this is purely Alia Bhatt movie. She is stellar in a few scenes and the body language is too good. Still has scope for improvements.. Randeep Hooda is an endearing actor. He is always good and again gave a very controlled performance. His haryanvi accent is good but not has a clear dialogue delivery..

Direction : Imtiaz Ali very well knows his work and he has given another great film to us.. He is a very good director and again has executed the film very well.

On the whole you have to feel the movie to like it ....!!!

Jai Ho
(2014)

Good concept...!!! Worst Execution....
Jai Ho directed by not so talented Sohail Khan is a story of an ex-army officer who fight with every social evil alone.Even with thousand of people.. Jai Ho is a remake of Tollywood film Stalin which itself was a remake of Pay It Forward.. The thinking and the concept is good but the premise of the film and the execution is just terrible.. Potential of a good movie is made a trash. Story credits are given to A.R. Murugadoss and there is no story but only action and action and action... Screenplay by Dilip Shukla is very bad . He seriously needs some lessons. Dialogues are okay and the action is good but overall it is pathetic.. In the last scene Suniel Shetty takes a tank and droves it in the city. How can it be possible. No logic at all..

Acting: Salman Khan doesn't know how to act and we all know that, but in this film he is okay. Tabu is just okay, Daisy Shah has nothing to do she is average, Pulkit is good, Sana Khan is a crap, Mohnish Belh is good. But the child Naman Jain as Kabir is flawless, he is really good.. Rest of the cast is terrible

Direction : We know Sohail Khan has precisely no talent at all. But he has directed Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya which was good and that made me watch the film but this is not direction although Action scenes are good but the credits for that should go the Action Director.. Sohail Khan is just Hopeless ..

And the dialogue used in the movie" Thanks mat bolo instead 3 logo ki help karo" is used about 20 times which is utterly annoying .. Please guyzz have some logic .. IMDb should see how can this film be rated nearly 7 its not even near 4.. Watch it at your own risk and money....

Boss
(2013)

Over The Top Action Flick Again From Akshay.....!!!!!
Boss is strictly a routine action+comedy flick which we have seen a thousand times in Hindi Cinema.... Anthony D'souza from horrible Blue(2009) to Boss(2013) has not evolved that much, Of course it is better than Blue but not very good...

Boss is a story a boy who is hated by his father for his bad anger and it lead him to become a criminal and after all the melodrama about the hero and a villain...

Story'Screenplay and Dialogues : Story by Farhad- Sajid is nothing to cheer about. Its the old routine drama we have seen. The Screenplay is rather engaging accept the unnecessary flashback scenes. It binds the audience well . Dialogue are also routine, sometimes out of the box like repeating" Apne ko sirf Paani nikalna hai" is irritating after sometime...

Performances: Akshay Kumar is very good in emotional scenes. He emotes really well. But overall he is just okay.

Ronit Roy is just exceptional as Ayushmann Thakur. He delivers a tremendous performance once again. But I felt maybe he should have a more scene presence. Shiv Pandit is just wasted. We have seen him in Shaitan and he was very good. But wasted totally here. Aditi Rao Hydari has nothing to do. She is Bad in everything she has done. Mithun Chakraborty has done a good work. He is a great actor and has shown his maturity. Danny is Okay.. Aakash Dabhade as Minister's son Vishal is very good

Direction: Anthony D'souza has done a horrible movie before that was Blue. With Respect to Blue he has done a good job. But overall he is just a mediocre director.

Overall, If u r a Akshay fan you can go for it . If u r not still you can go for it but at your own risk...!!!

Grand Masti
(2013)

Tried to make a something.....!!! Comes out with nothing....!!!!
Grand Masti is the sequel of 2004 hit Masti starting the same trio of Vivek,Riteish and Aftab... As the 1st one has something good the 2nd one comes with nothing at all except some good laughing scene that too copied from some Hollywood flicks... Some of the scenes are good but on whole the movie is awful... The plot of the movie is a copy paste of American Reunion... The scene are copied from Hollywood flicks like Austin Power, Ace Ventura ,American Pie and some from Bollywood itself....

Story and screenplay : The story is purely penned for a adult comedy by Milan Milap Zaveri and Tushar Hiranandani and its completely shattered all the way... Screenplay by Zaveri is messed up here and there and doesn't do any good at all..

Dialogues : The Dialogue from Zaveri are quite funny and good with some R rated jokes and double meaning..

Performances : Riteish Deshmukh is really funny and acts well. Vivek Oberoi overacts in the whole movie and tries a lot. Aftab is not known for acting and he is just okay. All the six actresses rather girl can't act for sure. They are just horrifying actors. Pradeep Rawat is completely a wrong cast...

Direction: Directed by Indra Kumar and I m shocked to watch that a man who has made movies like Dil, Beta , Ishq , Mann etc can make such a cheap movie. His direction is bad . He has done a mediocre job with this..

On the whole if you don't watch Hollywood R rated movies like American Pie etc you can go and watch just once otherwise its a complete waste of money and time.....

Shuddh Desi Romance
(2013)

Terribly Executed Movie....!!!!!
Shuddh Desi Romance is directed by the Band Baaja Baaraat fame Maneesh Sharma....

To have made a excellent first film it is a terrible movie to made.. Story,Screenplay and Dialogues are by Jaideep Sahni who had written films like Company, Khosla ka Ghosla, Chak De India has written a reasonably fresh script but it lacks execution and the screenplay is somehow confusing. It is bit hard to accept he has written this story so randomly.

Cinematography by Manu Anand is strictly mediocre. The beauty of the Jaipur city is wasted as he doesn't capture anything beautiful in his camera...

Sets by Rashmi Sethi is just about okay. Nothing to cheer about..

Performance: Sushant Singh Rajput after his stiller performance in Kai Po Che is just about okay. He has not been near to his previous performance. Parineeti Chopra is born to act. She is just fantastic in whatever she get in the movie. Vaani Kapoor is very confident and definitely a good future ahead. He has done reasonably well for his first film.. Rishi Kapoor , well nothing to tell about him. He is just like wine, getting better with age. Excellent performance by his again followed by his sheer genius act in D-Day....

Direction: Maneesh Sharma's direction is very ordinary. He has just made any film because he had to. Very randomly made film which contributes nothing accept a few good performances..

My rating is 4/10. Last word is strictly avoid it. If you have a lot of money to waste you can go for it...

Madras Cafe
(2013)

Bollywood One Step Ahead Now...!!!
The terrifying Srilankan Civil War that lasted about 25 years was perfectly scripted and executed. Hats off to the makers for creating such a display on the canvas. Shoojit Sircar is a director who is now in the league of one of the directors to watch out in the future.

What's Good : Well researched and scripted story. Creating the situations of war and the execution is perfect. What's Bad : I think too much use of English dialogues may offend Indian viewers..

Performances: John Abraham lives to expectations. He may not be exceptional, but he has done a very good job. Non Professional actors such as Siddhartha Basu and Dibang are terrific. Nargis Fakhri really delivers a good performance with her British accent. Supporting Cast is also really good.

Direction : Now what can I say Shoojit Sircar is really a man to watch. From a film like Vicky Donor to now Madras Cafe he has proved himself. I can bet he can touch every genre with near perfection. He has done a award winning work with this film. He is a very creative man.

Last word : Its a must watch movie... So don't waste time go and watch it!!!

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
(2013)

Flawless Movie 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'...!!!
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is surely one of the best movies of Indian Cinema.. A perfect biopic made by the brilliant Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra... The man knows how to make perfect films and he is back again... 187 minutes duration is bit long but never felt boring at any point... The execution of a biopic is very important and he came with a bang.. It was just magical to watch Milkha Singh run in the film.. Farhan Akhtar has done a exceptional job and he is deservingly the winner of National Awards and the Filmfare this year for sure... Supporting cast was exceptional . From Pawan Malhotra to Divya Dutta everyone has done a splendid job... A patriotic person will come out having tears in his eyes for sure.. Hard work and passion always pays you is shown in a way u just can't forget.. Its the Movie Of The Year and no doubt will be Indian Official entry to the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film Category....

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
(2013)

Not up to the Buzz produced
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is the second movie of Wake up Sid fame Ayan Mukherjee. As Wake Up Sid was a beauty, he was not up to mark with this one, not disappointing as well..

The movie is all about Friendship, love, ambitions, fun, celebration and adventures. Contrasting characters made the movie very interesting. All the four friends are very different from each other.

The Jokes and gags in the first half are fantastic and you will definitely laugh out loud. But the second half of the movie dips gradually and the movie is way to long for today's busy audience.

Coming to the performances, all of them are outstanding making it a fun watch at the end. Ranbir the ambitious person and at the end a man in love is extraordinary, Deepika from a boring to a fun loving girl is something to watch and till date its her best performance. She adds layers to her character.Kalki is the surprise package, she is above expectation, again a awesome display.Aditya Roy Kapur is cute and adorable, he is effortless.

Hats off to the Cinematographer for capturing such outstanding scenes. All the scenes looks beautiful and full credits to Cameramen.

Ayan Mukherjee has done reasonably good but not as his first movie.Dialogues are good, narration of the story is somewhat ordinary as the first half is fast and the second half is very slow paced.

Overall it is a nice entertainer. Don't expect much just watch it and you decide ...
