The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
(2022)

Made with passion
I had no expectations. And while at first was not very interrelated by this film. It look basically like a spoof from Nicolas cage career. While IT'S NOT. It's a movie made with heart and with actors proud of what they accomplished here. Nicolas Cage is fantastic. Pablo Pascal shines as usual. This movie is fun and got everyone. Lot of Easter eggs. We talk about over 1000. Good luck to find them all ;)

All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite: Blood & Guts in Detroit
(2022)
Episode 26, Season 4

That was brutal
The show was clearly a one match show but everything was good and entertaining. That main event with 12 wrestlers beating the crap hard out of each other. OMG. And the return of Claudio castagnoli (fka as Wwe'S Cesaro) who make his return at forbidden door. He is finally in a wrestling company to do what he do best. He was the most over wrestler all over the week. And it will continues. What a time to be a wrestling fan with aew right now. Thank you Tony Khan.

All Elite Wrestling x New Japan Pro Wrestling: Forbidden Door
(2022)

The best company and ppvs right now
Aew is the best wrestling promotion since 2019. His owner is a real fan and showcase the best talents from all over the world in one single show. This one is a partnership with new Japan pro wrestling. Must have been really hard to Book and with all the injuries of this sport. I recommend. Everything is good. And everyone is working hard to make this show the best ever. Can't wait for next year already.

WWE Money in the Bank
(2022)

Made by the Harvey Weinstein of wrestling and for PG audiences. It's a big no.
Wwe has been a major dissapoitment for a decade at least now. It used to be fun and people working on that show seems to had fun but not more. The Vince McMahon dictature is killing this show. This company. This is why many turn On wwe and watch Tony Khan All Elite Wrestling. Because it don't insult people intelligence every week. I want a show like this with wwe raw. And they don't give me that. It's always the same 50/50 booking. Bland and weak storylines. Always the same guy on top for two years. This money in the bank ppv feature one of the worst women matches in the history of the game. The terrible money in the bank women ladder match. Austin Theory the worst wrestler on the roster who show his parts all over internet is on a push. Wow. Already tired of it. If you want good wrestling and innovation. Don't watch this.

The Black Phone
(2021)

Weird feeling
I don't know if I love it or hate it. Sure actors do their parts very well. Ethan hawke is really amazing as this cold mystery killer. And all the kids are good. Jeremy Davies. It's been a while. The subject of the movie reminds me of old 80s thriller-horror which is a plus. It has a heart but if you want to see Sinister again. It's not. I feel like it's more a horror movie for pre teen and at times for adults. So I guess everyone find something. The 11 years old at my theater seems to enjoy it a lot like if it was It chapter 3. So my rating is 8 because I still think about it. So they do their job. That's what is fantastic with movies.

In Dreams
(1999)

Good but Annette Benning is overacting.
Hard to think this movie was released the same year as « American beauty » by Sam Mendes and won Oscars. Here as good as I like the movie. Performances are not oscar worthy except from the terribly underrated Paul Guilfoyle. Even Stephen Rea seems a bit tired. Maybe it's the mood of the film. Good role by Robert Downey Jr. As the killer. But the movie is a bit confusing. It's a nice effort from Neil Jordan but he can do so much more. Feels like they had problems with producers or I don't know.

Spiderhead
(2022)

Amazing soundtrack. Chris Hemsworth in a risky role and he have fun
I had no expectations watching this. But Chris Hemsworth is stealing every time he is on screen. He is so over the top funny and seems to have the fun of his life. It's a risky project and a risky role. But he is good in it. Miles Teller as usual very good. Don't expect the most original story but it's a good adaptation and well acted. A good way to spent 2h and for a Netflix film. It's a good one for a change !

WWE Hell in a Cell
(2022)

A guy injured wrestle and got injured ever worse. What a bad show.
This Hell in a cell ppv feature cody Rhodes Vs Seth Borings Rollins in their 4th match in about 2 month. Alrwady tired of it. If you want good wrestling and innovation. Don't watch this.

Jurassic World Dominion
(2022)

Dull and predictable. Kill that franchise please
Everything is said in the title. What a disappointment of a film. A mess from start to finish. It was good to see the return of Sam neill. Jeff goldblum and Laura Dern but it's not interesting at all. I though they could not do any worst than Jurassic World. But this is far worse.

Firestarter
(2022)

Firestarter 2 is a classic now
Do you guys remember the made for tv Movie with marguerite Moreau ? A sequel that is not truly. Here it's a remake of the 1984 with David Keith and Drew Barrymore and let me tell you. It's a mess. Zac effron is not David Keith. Effron can't really get out of the teen movies dude. Even in Gold recently or the terrible Ted Bundy Netflix movie. He try hard but can't put on the boots of David Keith. And Drew Barrymore was the movie. So imagine here how unwatchable it is. The should have done a totally different idea. There's a few different elements but it does not help the movie getting better.

Grade: F.

Wow what a ride
This movie is amazing. But specially the last 30 Minutes. Without spoiling it's mostly about a couple who filmed everything for their vlog going into a house with little to no wifi. It's proof that internet is not everything. And followers does not mean they are fan of your work. It clearly show here. A good film. With a not so predictable ending. The main actress Gracie Gillam as the « super » host is outstanding.

Memory
(2022)

Very solid action thriller
I don't want to spoil anyone but I barely see trailers and I just saw 4 main actors I enjoy. Guy Pearce the true lead actor here with of course Liam Neeson doing a strong lead hit man here. Ray Stevenson and Monica belluci in minor but very important roles. But the one that shine the most is Guy Pearce. It's been a while I have seen him in a good role. He did a few B movies that were ok but here he truly give all on the role. If you enjoy Martin Campbell work like The November Man. You will enjoy a lot. Sure he did Bond movies. Here it's not and that's perfect that way.

London Fields
(2018)

Amber naked and terrible plot
Amber naked. Terrible acting. Plot that make no sense. It's really a mess. I wonder why they make films like this with a few known actors it must have cost a lot. So many indy films are made with barely known actors and are 10x better than this. Avoid at any cost. And Justice for Johnny. Amber Heard is really a bad actress and show it here.

Sorjonen: Viiden sormen harjoitus 1/2
(2018)
Episode 1, Season 2

Season 2 is sadly a mess
I had high expectations loving first season. But this one did things so wrong. And I won't spoil you but it's no good. The « feel good » feeling of first season is not there. Thankfully. They repair that for season 3 that is back to its roots. But this one if you can. Skip.

Tainted
(2020)

A bit slow but ok way to kill 90 minutes.
I must admit. I had no expectations. Acting is good. But it's more on the writing / directing I guess. It's a bit slow and boring at times. But if you are like me and need movies like this to sleep at night. It's the best. And I'm not saying this negatively. You need movies like this. Everyone find something in the movies. I used Lifetime movies to have a good sleepy night. But at least this movie keep me intrigued and it was a fun one.

WeCrashed
(2022)

This and « Severance » making Apple TV the streaming service of the year !
This is not a series for everyone don't read me wrong. The acting is amazing but the theme if you give a chance Is even better. It's shot like a movie but it's 8 episodes of nearly 60 minutes full. It's really a good and strong story. Actors give their heart and soul. Jared Leto is unrecognizable and I can't see someone else do that role. Anna Hathaway at first I was not sure. And at episode 3. She was getting a lot more and feel like she is the principal character. It's a good series / film kinda. I'm just happy with Apple. It give me the time of my life. The quality is there.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2
(2022)

Sega is 2-0 now over Nintendo in movies =D
No pun intended or start a war. But really I saw Sonic 2 today and boy. I had a good time. Entertaining from start to finish. Jim Carrey nail the role Of Robotnik even more in Part 2. The new characters are introduced quickly. Don't need to come at the very end. I won't name any movies but many does that. It's 123 minutes that feel like 60. It's the prime example of what works. And it had to be with humans. Crazy to say huh. Chemistry is there and every actor work hard. Shemar Moore is a nice addition. Lot of comedy and good action. For all the family. But specially. Sonic fans !!!

Dior: Sauvage - Legend of the Magic Hour
(2018)

Justice for Johnny Depp
Just want to write that. And kudos to Christian Dior to continue working and trust the man. Respect to all the people including Johnny. It's terrible what happen to Mr Depp.

WWE Monday Night RAW
(1993)

Since a decade. It has become worst wrestling ever.
This show has been a major dissapoitment for a decade at least now. Lipstick
(1976)

How to rate this movie. So bad it's actually good
I watch this movie for the first time in march 2022. There some terrible scenes to go through. While it's not actually very graphic. You can imagine how theses womens feel. Chris Sarandon shine here and do his rôle perfectly. You want to beat him to his death. The Hemingway sisters are so pretty in that movie. Mariel was very good in her role. Definitely Better than Margeaux. By the way. It's really sad that she died in the 90s. Back to the movie, it's the kind of film that would have been better in the 80s with a better directing. A revenge flick with a nice plot. But end more like a fashion movie at times than thriller. But if you are fascinating by 70s. It's quite interesting.

All Elite Wrestling: Dark
(2019)

Showcasing the talent of tomorrow. Important show.
This show is on YouTube and features talent not used at dynamite or rampage. It's a good show. A good school for new pro wrestlers. Many newcomers are feature on that show and learn the business in front of large crowd. It's really an important and good show. Weekly on YouTube on Tuesday nights.

Rhodes to the Top
(2021)

Cody Rhodes is awful
Glad he is in wwe now. What a traitor. The guy don't want to turn heel and left company to face the Miz and other bad wrestlers in the wwe. Major Flop. Hope they don't have a season 2. No one cared about the Rhodes. We boo them on tv and glad we have the real one who can wrestle between the 2. Dustin Rhodes.

AEW Dark: Elevation
(2021)

Good to see new talents and the future
This show is on YouTube and features talent not used at dynamite or rampage. It's a good show. A good school for new pro wrestlers. Many newcomers are feature on that show and learn the business in front of large crowd. It's really an important and good show. Weekly on YouTube on Monday nights.

Severance
(2022)

Outstanding. Simple and complicated at the same time and I love it.
This is a perfect tv series. When you start you are not too sure of what you are watching. People goes to work. Do something on old computers at a weird place with all that light. And when they leave office. They don't even know who they are after that. It's because it's sci-fi. Imagine you have a life at work and you don't even know what you're doing. Well many does already. And when you are at home. It's another life. It's a nightmare for many to think about that. Not knowing what you're body is doing during a period. Like when you sleep at night. What happen around you. You don't know. That's a perfect series with lots of question that get answered. And I just saw they sign for a season 2. It will be magic.

Severance: The We We Are
(2022)
Episode 9, Season 1

Less is more I guess
Good ending but very frustrating at the same time. But since there is a season 2 I absolutely understand why it goes down that way. The old school way. We have to wait a few month. Probably 10 for the sequel. It was a perfect show and everyone work hard on that series to make it better every episode. Amazing.
