Blood Out
(2011)

Good film , terrible ending
It's your typical fighting film , a sibling revenging the death of their murdered/dead relative. This one is no different. That did not bother me though , One cop brother , and his brother is in a gang , the brother in the gang wants to leave but alas does not end well. Roll on big cop brother going on a rampage. Although to me it wasn't a rampage , it was more of him playing dangerously by trying to figure out who the top dogs are , which is a different twist to other movies in this genre. It was a good watch , although the end made me shake my head. It left a few unanswered questions. Worth a watch

ALTHOUGH .. there are a few things that make the movie a bit unbelievable such as

  • TATTOO ARTIST HAPPILY TATTOOS HIM WITH GANG SYMBOLS (GANG SYMBOLS WHICH JUST SO HAPPEN TO BE A MAJOR GANG) - BIG BROTHER MANAGES TOO JOIN THE GANG BY FLASHING HIS TATTOOS CLAIMING TO BE FROM ANOTHER STATE - NO CHECKS ARE DONE ON HIM WHAT-SO-EVER THEY JUST WELCOME HIM STRAIGHT INTO THE GANG - EVERY GANG MEMBER WELCOMES HIM WHOLE HEARTEDLY AND THINKS HE'S THE BEES KNEES WITHIN A DAY OF HIM BEING THEIR - HE MANAGES TO BECOME SO HIGH UP IN THE GROUP WITHIN A WEEK

The Ward
(2010)

Good of been so much better
This movie started out keeping you intrigued , but with being intrigued comes questions. But this movie didn't answer the questions most viewers would have been wondering , except just throwing more things into the mix , once again leaving is wondering and guessing but also with a lot of questions. And too me the ending did not answer all the questions that the movie created. I think the writer must have gotten bored towards the end and decided to choose the ending he did.

Too me , there also could have been a lot more action/gore/scares , it was set in a psychiatric ward for god sake , yet most of the scenes are in the rec room or a bedroom.

Good little watch but nothing to write home about

P2
(2007)

Worth a look
Now , P2 is not going to make you go ' Wow! amazing must recommend' but it is worth a watch. It's nothing out of the ordinary plot wise , although in all fairness it's all been pretty much down in the horror genre. Can't get more original than being locked in a building with a crazed psychopath on the loose trying to kill you can ya?! There was a few nice surprises and twists in their that I wasn't expecting nor see brewing but as horrors come , it is a pretty standard movie. It's one of them movies you can say 'Yeah i've seen it' and give your opinion on it. The male lead actor though was hard to tolerate , I disliked his character from the get-go before it turned out he was the psychopath and was hoping maybe he would meet his gruesome end by being killed by le psycho but alas didn't happen because he was the lead!

Scary Movie 5
(2013)

Why ruin a great movie franchise?!
I can't give that great of a review of this movie for the simple fact , I have tried 5 - yes FIVE .. times too watch this movie the furthest I have got into it is 36 minutes.

Now I absolutely LOVE the other scary movies the haunted house being my favourite in particular. But with this one I just couldn't seem to get into it , my first attempt at watching it I turned it off after 5 minutes because the scene with Lindsey Lohan (Why?!) and Charlie Sheen was not remotely funny. And it kind of put me off , because in all the others the opening scene normally gives you a few cheap giggles.

Second attempt turned it off after snoop dog (or should I say snoop lion?) and his friend are talking about a baby shampoo on their genitals. (not very long after the Lohan and Sheen scene)

Third attempt (once again not long after the snoop lion scene) when Ashley tilsdale is doing a pregnancy test on her Iphone

Fourth attempt When they move into the 'test subject house'

5th and final attempt Not long into them moving into the test subject house.

In the 30 odd minutes I viewed I didn't laugh once , I remember thinking why , why ruin such a good movie franchise whyyyyyy?!

The characters had me thinking of a few questions too

Charlie Sheen - Why? Lindsay Lohan - Why? Why? Why? Dear God Why? Snoop Dog/Lion - Random , Why? Ashley Tisdale - Why? She's a Disney actress and a shocking one at that , so why give her lead role in a movie franchise as big as scary movie.

Truly appalling , save your money , and your time - you'd honestly have more fun watching paint dry. You have been warned

Chernobyl Diaries
(2012)

90 minutes of your life you will never ever get back. AVOID
** If you could rate a 0 , this movie would definitely qualify**

In my time of watching horrors , I've seen some appalling ''horrors'' and will just simply see at is 'ahh least I can say I've seen it' but with this movie I wish I had never wasted 90 minutes of my life.

Now don't get me wrong this movie had the fullest potential too be an amazing horror/slasher film

  • Scary/creepy settings - Back story of the setting (that has you intrigued)

You almost expect it to be like The hills have eyes - this couldn't be further away from expectations.

Too me , characters are so important in a film , you want the audience to have a favourite and be cheering on for there survival and actually care what happens to them. You don't want the audience to not care who lives or dies and with this movie , this is exactly what happened. I couldn't care less who got '' attacked '' (if you can call it that) and who survived (although I hoped none of them survived and got slayed into next week .. but that never happened)

Literally 75 minutes of poor acting with no real scares or suspense building up then 15 minutes of 'action' (I use this term VERY loosely) and the ending just leaves you shaking your head in disgust and disappointment.

Watch at your own risk.

The Stepfather
(2009)

Hmmm not bad , but not the best
This movie had me intrigued almost reminded me of the movie 'Disturbia' when I read the plot.

The movie is good , but for me I found it too slow placed to get into the action and drama of the movie. The ending totally ruined it for me , it is one of them ' REALLY??!!??? THATS IT ?!! YOU COULD HAVE DONE SO MUCH BLOODY MORE'

Is worth a watch but don't expect anything amazing, it's one of them movies where you are shouting at the TV '' are you stupid? don't do that!'

Enjoy!

I Spit on Your Grave
(2010)

Amazing , Amazing , Amazing
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie , every second of it. There was not one bit I thought ' why was this bit put into the movie?'

It's one of them movies though , that are an acquired taste. Is gory , is quite brutal at times but it's not just a run through the woods randomly killing like a lot of movies are these days.

The movie got quite a lot of stick due to how she handles her abusers , but too me personally , this film is NOT promoting being a vigilante and too take justice into your own hands , to me or how I perceived it as, is with every action there is a consequence and unfortunately these men learnt the hard way.

I think why I enjoyed this movie so much is it is not your average horror , with a dumb tart running through the woods crying that she does'nt want to be killed. It's a girl who got attacked , then had her trust abused by someone she thought she could rely on which led her once again to get attacked. And for there actions she goes on a brutal and deadly rampage showing no remorse. The murder she inflicts on her attackers are well thought out and having a meaning (once watched you will understand why she killed them the way she did) , instead of just simply stabbing them or shooting them.

The reason this movie got some stick in my opinion is , it's not a common genre of a movie where a woman is attacked by multiple men quite graphically and then goes on a killing rampage.

This movie is NOT for the faint hearted

Grave Encounters 2
(2012)

Mixed opinions
I'm going to try and keep the spoilers to a minimum!

Firstly don't bother watching grave encounters 2 if you have NOT watched grave encounters one , because it will be pointless.

OK , the movie had totally good intentions and a good plot (disgarding a few little things) its just a shame about the cast. You never really feel connected at all too the cast , even though the first 40 minutes of the film is too acquaint you with the cast.

Now don't get me wrong it's not something you have to keep full attention too because it is a pretty basic plot , but I'm sorry for other reviews saying NO SCARES , I jumped twice even though I know what was coming. If you say you didn't jump in the electrical room you're telling porkies!!

In my opinion the film would of been much better with different cast , ones who could actually act. Too me the only one who can act half decent is the second too die. And the ''scream queen '' I was quite pleased with her come uppance , I anticipated it throughout the movie and was quite pleased with her demise.

And as for Lance Preston and everyone blubbering how brilliant he was in the movie , too me he was shocking , and acted like he was drunk not possessed and gone crazy.

Watch it if you've got nothing else too watch , expect a few cheap scares but don't be expecting no lack of sleep through it.
