This is one of the best classic family comedy movies that was made between 1980 and 1990 in the US hands-down. Matthew Broderick is a classic stage actor whose face perfectly lends itself to the screen. This movie and wargames made him a household name during that time when I was growing up as a boy in New York. I just watched it with my kids who are now 13 and it was just as enjoyable as it was when I was about their age, watching it for the first time. The best part is that my twins -boy and girl - loved it , laughedalot, and asked me if there any more movies as good as this one that we could see. I can't think of a higher recommendation than that.

Let's be honest... I'm a late middle-age guy, and Ana is stunning to watch. She could be making pancakes and I'd spend $25 to watch it. She is warm and captivating and appears honest in her performance. Captain America is on point and fits the Bill as the farmer better than you would think. He's a much better actor than most of us think he is . Just go all the way back to sunshine directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting , Slumdog millionaire, etc, ) where he did very well over 15 years ago. Check it out if your fan of thriller horror from a phenomenal English Director.

This flick is good fluff, mostly family friendly, and a decent way to spend part of an evening. Its not grounded in anything remotely realistic ... but the leads are charming.

I've Been a fan of horror since 1986. I've read 30 odd Stephen King books along with many other great writers in the genre. The story is original and honestly is best represented by the book by far.However, if you watch the movie first... It is well done. What it does well is tell the story honestly and fairly suspense-fully. What it lacks is the dynamic and tension in the house between the characters, the climax in its full glory , and the drama of the mom's reliance on the children's special abilities to hear on the river all threats. If anything, it should inspire you to read the story! Music and sound should have been better utilized ( they are blindfolded In most of the movie!). Overall though... it was a good B.

Solid direction and great intensity from both leads. I grew up with these guys and it was a unique birds eye view of what it might be like from inside their minds during the match. Highly recommend to those who understand the desire to be # 1 and what it takes. Enjoy!
