Absolutely brilliant!
Discovered this by accident, and instantly fell in love with it for my 3 year old grandson. It's the first animated series I've seen that is expertly geared for toddlers, and real life situations. All the haters on here must not hang out with toddlers, is all I can surmise. We love it. My grandson loves it!

Grievous Bodily Harm
(1988)

Top prize for worst acting I've ever seen in my life.
Stupidest plot, laughable action, and oh my God the acting are you kidding me. Only redeeming feature of this movie was it was shot on location. I always enjoy films shot on location in other parts of the world. If you're not looking for a travel log in Australia, skip this POS.

The Nest
(2020)

Well I loved it.
I don't get all the bad reviews, I mean it's Jude Law and Carrie Coon. That alone makes it watchable, to say the least. I could relate to this movie because I too had a marriage that was unequal in socioeconomic class, somewhat like this movie, and it causes problems. Life is messy. Things don't always work out, with money and attitudes and it's dark. I found it very realistic and totally relatable. I didn't think the house was such a big deal, I would've love to be in a house like that. But everybody is different. I really rooted for for this family, and I feel they would've worked out their problems.

What the ever lasting F?
I watch this through to the end because I like dark films, and I like the setting. And I liked the actors. Complete waste of my time, take my advice and avoid this like the effing plague. Just no redeeming qualities.

Criminal: Spain: Isabel
(2019)
Episode 1, Season 1

Outstanding in every way!
I don't get all the hate reviews, I found it to be as riveting and compelling and well done as every criminal I've watched. And I have watched them all. I loved it.

The Turning
(2020)

Don't listen to the Debbie downers!
I went into this movie with a completely neutral expectation. I loved it. I thought the acting, especially the two principal children's roles, as well as that of Mackenzie Davis was excellent. More than enough twists and turns, and very scary jolts. Just give it a chance.

Gretel & Hansel
(2020)

Excellently done!
I'd seen the trailer and I couldn't wait to see this movie. And I was not disappointed. I don't understand whats with all the haters, I think they have less sophisticated independent film taste. The heck with them, I say watch this movie and see if yourself. Truly one of the creepiest, most menacing soundtracks I've ever heard perfectly set against equally creepy cinematography. Excellent acting and rather arcane use of the narrative put it in a class by itself. Check it out.

What Keeps You Alive
(2018)

Wait... Who is Megan??
I expected this to be trash, and I was pleasantly surprised that it had some heft to it. I was especially intrigued by the actress who played Jackie/Megan, but more on that in a moment. I thought she was stunningly beautiful, kind of an Amy Adams jazzed up version. I thought both actresses performed superbly, I'm sure it was a very intense outlay of emotion getting through this movie. I was on the edge of my seat so many times when Jules could have made her escape, and then it didn't pan out for her. By her own hand.

But am I the only one who wondered who the hell is Megan? At the dinner scene with Daniel and Sarah as guests, Jules distinctly referred to Megan. She had to have been referring to Jackie. And then Sarah herself when she was being killed by Jackie/Megan also referred to her as Megan. WTAF?

All in all I enjoyed it, I found it much more enjoyable than, for instance, the current IT movie, The Perfection. Which I found dull, dumb and predictable.

I did wonder at the title though as that seemed to start off in one direction but didn't really come to fruition anywhere later on.

Would've been great had English dubbing not been used
I had such high hopes for this series, looked as promising as hinterland, broad church, the frozen dead, and others of the film noir shot on location crime dramas. To my extreme disappointment, instead of allowing the actors to speak in their own voices in their own language and using subtitles they dubbed in horrible voiceover American actors. I am most gave up on it by episode five I had learned to just listen to the words and give up on the Inflection. I felt that neither the tone, the deliverance nor even the appropriateness of the age of the narrative being dubbed was appropriate. Netflix really needs to do a better job with subtitles. They're always awful.
