Comedy Warriors: Healing Through Humor
(2013)

Therapy through comedy
No matter if you support the current wars the US is involved in, you have to feel for and support the soldiers. The men and women who fight is wars, have a very tough road to come back to civilian life, they have been seriously injured both physically and mentally. In Comedy Warriors, five veterans have a chance to heal their wounds by getting up on stage and making jokes. This is why I love this movie so much. There is a major issue with soldiers who come back with issues that are unresolved, so I love seeing them work out their issues. It was especially interesting watching them do so while trying something new life stand up comedy. This is a truly amazing film, one to watch for sure, it is funny, honest, heart wrenching and up lifting.

Cage Fight
(2012)

Underground cage fighting will never be the same
When Guerrero, a former champion wrestler, and kick boxer sneaks his way into the United States, an organized crime gang seeks to use his unique talents to their advantage. Will he fight in this underground mixed martial arts tournament against his better judgment in order to find his family? This film is a wild, Spanish language ride full of fight scenes, suspense, romance and a dash of comedy. It also deals with the issues facing many illegal immigrants who are often exploited for the gains of other people. If you are a fan of action movies, martial arts, or fight movies, this one is for you. Another fun, entertaining film brought to you by Art Camacho.

Bad Behavior
(2013)

Exceeds expectations
As a big fan of horror films, I have become quite weary of new films that seem to worry more about gore, special effects, and simple scare tactics (something suddenly appearing in frame, followed by loud sound effect) and less about story, acting and developing a character that is both believable, and terrifying. Fortunately, this is not one of those films.

From start to finish I felt drawn to keep watching and find out what would happen to Zoe as her night of work becomes a nightmare. The acting and storyline really make for a fun, scary and suspenseful film. Not sure this will be a huge hit, but I feel a cult classic coming along.

Sunset Strip
(2012)

Very informative and entertaining
Fun from start to finish, and a history lesson as well. It does not get much better than this as far as biographical documentaries go. Pop culture in the Unite States has for a long time centered on the happening of the Sunset Strip, and now we have a chance to hear what it was like, from the people who lived it. Stories from speakeasies, night clubs, hotels, brothels, and comedy clubs make for great laughs and insight.

I really enjoyed hearing about the change in musical genres, and how it affeceted the people who frequented the strip from decade to decade, especially the change from the 1950'2 to 1960's. It was also quite interesting to hear first hand about the drug use, and death of certain stars. A must see for sure.

One Direction: Going Our Way
(2013)

Great for fans
An interesting documentary, and if you are a fan of the band you will love it. Interviews with band are entertaining and insightful, it is always fun to find out what makes super successful bands get to such a high level. It is fun seeing the process of going from reality TV, to social media phenomenon, to pop music super stars. I learned quite a bit about the band, I knew nothing about them before hand but have a new respect for what they have done. The band helped change the way musicians across the world reach new fans and gain new opportunities. Their use of social media is quite astonishing, they really use it to it's full potential.
