Do Revenge
(2022)

Mixed up High School Days
I was looking for something light and fluffy to whittle away a couple of afternoon hours. Reminiscing about school days seems to perk me up. This story is a bit confusing about who is getting revenge on who but alls well that ends well. Nice little story.

American girls give too much away when they are still so young. Seems like it is accepted in those environments, Then the sex tape thing is just too much. The perils of modern technology. So easy for your secrets to spread like wildfire. To tell one person is to tell the whole world. Our young people need to show more caution and parents need to teach more about self control and to value themselves.

Yeah! Waiting for the next instalment
I watched this Alchemy of Souls. I'm pretty into this. It has caught my imagination. I love the story and can't wait for Naksu to deal to these people.

What a heartless lot of people they are, but as I was sinking right into hoping for all of my good intention to come to fruition. It finished and I was left heart broken.

Well I guess it is wait for the next instalment but oh deary me.. Aish! Now they are telling me that my review is too short.

I loved the two main actors. They have sweet chemistry and worked well together. Naksu though sometimes i just felt myself getting impatient with her and thinking. You got this please do something.

Cang Lan jue
(2022)

Prepared to be amazed and hooked in.
I love this. It reminds me of Beauty and the Beast when it gets to about episode 10. It becomes really interesting when they swap body's and she becomes all powerful and he becomes the weak and less controlling master of the Moon Tribe. The servants don't know what has happened. She plays a dangerous game trying to keep her cover pretending to be him.

So what are the seven emotions?

I want to know what they are on here?

Here his father has tortured him to lose all of these emotions but his emotions tree is beginning to bud, grow and put out leaves.

His father executed all those women who taught him to carve, play the zither and played with him.

The dad had a torture room where he tortured the boy.....mentally....like a closet. He begged his father to kill him.

So it was romantic love, brotherly love, parental love. This is what his father was making him let go of.

He was still young when he killed his father. Which was part of his fathers mental training. His father wanted him to do so. He tortured and provoked him until he came to that momentous event.

His childhood memories are coming back and it feels like he is being re-tortured.

In the beginning he is the all powerful entity released from his 30,000 year prison but soon realises that his life is tied up with that weak, very timid and innocent Fairy and also she has only very weak powers. He finds this all very frustrating, especially when they swap bodies. She doesn't want to kill anybody.

They are forced to confront their differences and bring a semblance of order to this union. They must have some cooperation as their link means that is one dies then so does the other. Dongfang Qing Cang must keep the fairy Xiao Lan Hua (Orchid) and himself alive.

As time progresses the emotionless Dongfang Qingcang who killed without mercy slowly warms up to Xiao Lan Hua. She is despite the harsh and difficult journey she encounters, she never loses her true essence, which is her generous and compassionate heart. Xiao Lan Hua is naturally able to bring out the best in people with her unwavering trust. She is just a ray of sunshine. She moves and enters into the stone heart of Dongfang Qingcang and breaks down his barriers as he makes subtle changes in his personality and falls deeply in love with this Fairy Orchid.

He is willing to go through any challenge and test to prove his worth and love for her. Orchid feels the same way........but as she suffers her challenges and test so does he. He believe because of their love bond because they are to be husband and wife they must stay together until death part them. So he feels whatever she feels. So in that way they are truly bonded.

That depiction in the drama is truly awesome. I love it. Cinematology at its best. It shows a play back of their best moments together. This is the sweetest love affair. I have never seen a love so sweet for a long time. It is emotional, touching, poignant, sensitive and tender. His soft gestures towards her reminds me of Wang So

Before I go on any further I want to talk about these two actors Dylan Wang and Yu Shu Xin. I have watched Dylan in Ever Night: Season 2. He was good, but not as great as he is here. He has nailed this part. Wow! Yu She Xia, I didn't know her at all so I looked up her bio. Still didn't know her but she was stunning in this part of Orchid where she had to play several different roles. The chemistry between her and the Devil was unmistakable. Together they were superb. She moved that unshakable demon heart and pierced him to the core with her sweet loveable ways. It was a very challenging part. The romance between Dong Fang Qing Cang and Xiao Lanhua is so pristine and immaculate. I couldn't fault it. The thing is it was different to all of the romances and love stories I had watched before. It had its own beauty and very deep moments of heart touching heart, but not a sexual passion, but a true warmth and understanding of one another.

The there is our second lead Zhang Ling He Chang Heng / Xiao Run. He is as a royal prince, he is kind, considerate, and well-mannered. He dotes on Orchid and has loved her for a long time. I love him best as Xiao Run where he becomes the best friend of Dong Fang Qing Cang without knowing that they are enemies. Their bromance is just so unexpected and fun. As for Chang Heng he is a bit snobbish, up himself and a bit boring along with his other better qualities I already mentioned. He is the War God of the Fairies.

Some where further up I talked about the Cinematology of this drama. It is a stunning masterpiece of gorgeous and artistic visuals with the compare and contrasting of the different Kingdoms your mind was not lost in thinking(where are we?), but there was a certainty of the environment of the realms. Also the contrast of clothing with Orchid and her love. She with the soft flowing pastel gowns and he with his medieval black, silver and gold. From the cloud whales to the pink tree in Arbiter Hall and Cangyan Sea's castle, and Fairy surrounds of icy whiteness. It was truly magnificent for the sense of visual delight.

Why was I imprisoned?
I wasn't really in the mood to write a review but I enjoyed this short series so much. Mentally it just keeps you guessing the whole time. She was trained since childhood to be an assassin. She was emotionally manipulated by her grandfather. Except that I never really believed that he was her grandad. Turns out his was.

Then she was totally controlled by the man she loved whom I always believed was really the man in charge of her many missions. He tried to kill her so many times.

Then they chucked her in prison for the rest of her life. Then what happens is that the government of East Germany falls and all political prisoner like her were freed after three years.

She set out to find out why she was imprisoned leaving a trail of dead bodies behind her. She was seeking the reason for her imprisonment. When she had carried out all of her orders exactly.

This set us on the trail of the red suitcase. Turns into a very interesting search.

Loved the series. Her friend from the Dog planet was a bit of a side issue. Watch it. It will keep you on your toes from beginning to end.

The Umbrella Academy
(2019)

The world is now more open minded. We still have a long way to go though.
I'm sure I watched this before both series one and two but I was a long time ago and I hadn't reviewed it at the time. Since series three was out I thought I should go through the whole lot again. I find at the very least to be totally entertaining. The actors hook me in with their depth of believable performance. I loved the Umbrella Academy but many of the cast of the Sparrows were annoying but I guess that is how they were cats to be.

I'm a bit of a science fiction fantasy so I loved the scientific stuff, the time leaps, the weaving os our historically experiences into it. You know Vietnam war, the President Kennedy assassination, the Cold War. I loved it the space race and the interweaving of the Black Hole.

I love the romance. The 60's era of peace and love with the apartheid in the states the rise up of the black civil rights movement I think about how far we have came since then. Its' not prefect true but even with peoples acceptance of same sex relationship and gender transitioning. The world is now more open minded. We still have a long way to go though.

As pure entertainment I loved it. Not everyone will get it. Not everyone will accept it. I loved their amusing relationships with each other and the theory of nurture verses nature. Watch it and make up your own minds.

Gods of Egypt
(2016)

You need a child like mind to really enjoy it.
I have always had this fascination with Egypt but in the last few years I have curbed it back but I saw this and decide to watch it.

Lots of Whizz bangs in the beginning. I loved this. It filled all my fantasies of Egyptian myth , magic and fantasy. I am like a child when it comes to this genre. I don't really try to analyse all of its parts. I am just here for the story and what an awesome one it is to.

It is about the Gods and Egypt and two Gods one brother filled with jealousy, malice and revenge. The other just the ultimate creator want a better life for his people. The ending getting quite Christian like.

It was so entertaining. Watch it if you still have a childlike mind.

Wonder Woman
(2017)

We grew up on Marvel Comics.
Review: Wonder Woman

In our day comics were what we learnt to read on. They were cheap and could be passed from person to person. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman were our heroes. We were cult followers of these characters after we graduated from Walt Disney.

So as older people we have a background of experiences to call upon when it comes to these characters. We will always look upon them in a positive way but our new experiences with the new technology and media has brought some negativity to these worthy characters so we watch them with new eyes. The media has not continue to enhance our memories. It has taken me awhile to watch this Wonder Woman but here I am.

The men of that time were totally chauvinistic and opinionated thinking woman couldn't do anything. They lived in a patriarchal society. The women didn't even have the vote at that time. So this Amazon is furious with their behaviour of sending young men to war and not going themselves. London was pretty dismal in those days.

I loved it. Where my old world came in contact with the new technological world. You know how we still want to keep our fantasies and magic. This delivered it.

Seventh Son
(2014)

Awesome story. Good entertainment.
WHEN DARKNESS FALLS, THE SON WILL RISE. WHEN THE SON FALLS, THE DARK KNIGHT WILL RISE.

At this point i had only heard of the seventh daughter but her we have the witch hunter a seventh son recruits seventh sons to be his apprentice and finds on who is a son of a witch. I need for some magic in my life.
Review: The Sound of Magic (2022)

I hope that this is going to fill my need for some magic in my life.

I've never seen Ji Chang Wook in this kind of role before and it fascinates me. So different to his action roles. Some parts of this is definitely sweet, especially when they sing together. It is kind of exhilarating.

This has a bit of a thriller atmosphere and tense at times when it should not be like when they are in the library studying Does Na Il Deung have feelings for our main actor Yoon Ah Yi. In the library they are studying but the vibe is kind of mysterious She get ready to leave but he encourages her to stay by giving her another book to study. He is encouraging yet abrupt. He is getting heart tremors and trying to ignore that he really likes this girl. He is sharing his music head plugs with her. The magic happens. This drama is cool az.

He walks he home and asks if they can date, but then says he is joking,

So love this. Who is the magician and why is he doing these things for her. He lit up her path when it was dark at night. He is watching over her. Sweet but kind of scary.

What an awful dad he came and took all her money and ran off. Horrible man. My kids had that experience when their dad can to our house and took all the money out of their piggy banks and chucked them up into our roof space. My kids were so upset and hurts.. So I know how she feels.

I can't understand how parents can leave their children like that in Korea to just fend for themselves Here in New Zealand they would be taken into state care. She a teenager has to look after herself and a little sister. Lucky the sister comes straight home after school and doesn't got wandering. The little sister knows what she is going through and in her way tries to protect her. But the mum and dad though are so irresponsible.

I enjoyed this. It is very entertaining but did leave me some questions at the end.

The Losers
(2010)

After the double double cross the badass chick comes to the rescue
Review: The Loser 2010

I heard of the Black ops from my grandkids but never seen any of their movies or whatever but I've seen them play the games. So the Nana decided to hook up on this on.

On a mission to overthrow a drug lord deep in the Bolivian jungle, a team of elite commandos finds itself on the receiving end of a lethal betrayal. Now presumed dead, the men join forces with a mysterious operative named Aisha to hunt down their enemy and even the score.

Starts off with them saving 25 kids but they don't go on the chopper with the kids. No room. Chopper is shot down. They are said to be dead.

A woman Aisha picks them up to do a job. Since then gunfire, violence and double crossing. Their motivation is to get the man that killed the 25 kids.

Clay (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Jensen (Chris Evans), Roque (Idris Elba), Pooch (Columbus Short) and Cougar (Oscar Jaenada). Each has a specialty: command, ordnance, rockets, sniper, etc. They're rugged, macho, wise-cracking. Clay is the highest-ranking officer, but he keeps saying, "We're not in the military now." Later, of course, he pulls rank.

Skills of these guys Pooch Driver. Rocket maker and launcher. Pilot Weakness wife who is pregnant.

Clay Leader Weakness woman Jensen Computer analysis Weakness niece Cougar Sharp shooter Doesn't seem to have a weakness Roque close-quarters combat skills. Weakness anger management issues

After the double double cross the badass chick comes to the rescue. I should stop reading reviews before I finish the movie. Sweet ending though.

It was entertaining - Pretty good.

First Kill
(2022)

So delusionary epic. Pure entertainment.
I really not the scary movie kind of girl. Not as I into LGBTQ character but I thought I'd give this one a go. The two main characters have beautiful homes.

I don't like horror but this is fascinating. So delusionary epic. What I mean is that it paranoid unrealistic confused but I like it.

Watch it and you will know what I mean.

Such a twist at the end. ....Can't wait for the next series.

The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure
(2022)

All in good fun, laughter and entertainment.
All round extraordinary story and acting. Will give Jack Sparrow a run for his treasure.... Lol. This was pretty darn good with all that sword fighting and bit of romance. Swash buckling pirates to boot with an awesome treasure hunting stories. The Captain and the hanger-on always arguing amongst themselves with the rival captain of another ship on their tale attacking them from everywhere. Loved it. Actors were amazing in their various pirate getup. Had a bit of interesting comedy routines thrown in. What's not to like. You'll love it watch it yourselves.

Jirisan
(2021)

So much like a documentary but also a thriller
Review:Jirisan (2021)

This drama is kinda like a documentary because it shows a large part of the wilderness and history of the area but then it's also like a thriller as it takes us right into the minds of the people and actors in this drama. It just hooks you in. It is so outstanding. I have loved it from the very beginning . It's a mystery, thriller. There are so many well known actors who are awesome in this.

What is happening in this area is that many people go missing. It is popular for a variety of reasons. Hikers, Trampers, sight seer, plant collectors, snake collectors, suiciders and even murderers who cover their murders by making it look some kind of accident. This is whom the lead actors are looking but it is very difficult for them,

We are only in episode 5 and my goodness what a shake up there has been in this short time.

This is so very stressful but so incredibly superb. Cinematoloy is stunning. Scenery takes your breath away.

So many tragedies one after another, Reminds me of our cultural saying"I am the river and the river is me. I am the mountain and the mountain is me". She tried to leave but the mountain keeps calling her back.. Come home!! Come Home!! I feel like that.

Every time an episode end I can't help but think. So good.

This drama is not for the faint hearted. Lucky none of of my fave actors are in it or I'd be distraught. I can watch like an ordinary viewer thinking that this is a documentary and I'm seeing it as if it has already happened and this is a reenactment. That is my way of thinking about it. I love it so much. One of the more written scripts. Congratulations writers I don't often say it so treasure my words.

Pride & Prejudice
(2005)

Aloofness and Arrogance recipe for misunderstanding.
I think I read this as a teenager as an English assignment. This old English way of speaking is kind of hard to understand and they are so formal with each other. The two main characters misunderstand each other because of their aloofness and arrogance. Mr Darcy has had some bad experiences and he brings them to the for when he judges the girls family. Elizabeth is quick to misjudge Mr Darcy without giving him a chance to explain himself.

They don't speak openly to eac.h other and nearly miss the chance to be together when they realize that they have deeper feelings for each other. Sweet love story but in the light of todays openness sometimes hard to understand. Lucky Mr Darcy is determine to correct his errors and approach her a second time.

I just rewatched this. So sweet.

The Old Guard
(2020)

These people are kind of terrifying that they don't die.
I don't know but I have a feeling I watched this before but I have a good feeling about it so I want to watch it again. I did watch it Sep 28, 2021 but no written review. So I'm doing it now.

These people are kind of terrifying that they don't die.

The woman in the iron box under the sea dying and reviving for 500 years would drive anyone crazy.

She, Andy, has lived so many years so she learnt to kill in every way possible. This is awesome has my watching of so many movies dull me from the gore and violence in it. She is more that 1000 years old.

They do die but they never know the time.

Yeah! They wanted to experiment on them. Some crazy man and his scientists, tried to cage them up and failed.

This was so good. Are they going to have a series 2?

Les 7 vies de Léa
(2022)

Girl from the future
I just started watching this and already it's playing to my science fiction fantasy, time travel vibe. I think I'm hooked on it. Sort of a crazy teenager mixed up world has started. As the synopsis said she found a dead body and she doing time travel.

She found the book/journal she had buried 30 years before. Now she knows that she wasn't dreaming. This is so good.

It get kind of crazy as she go each time and gets to live one day of their life back as a different person. They never remember what happened when she was them.

She is trying to save the guy she found dead from dying because she has fallen in love with him.

Then school life is so weird compared to our countries school.

So much sex in it though. She is just a mixed up little girl but an interesting one. It, the story keeps you mesmerised. Are a viewer you just can't let it go. You just must keep watching. It is really fascinating. It will just hook you in.

The thing that makes it so believable is the strong theme of drug taking and that alone takes you into the realms unknown.

The scenery and cinematolgy is so good. You want to just stop and suck it all up. Bit too much sex but maybe important for the detail of the story.

Gangubai Kathiawadi
(2022)

"Tie her legs tightly. Men cannot be trusted with not even with a dead body."
MAFIA QUEEN - titled This looks interesting and it's only a movie length. So I'm watching it. Looks like it's from India but you normal downtrodden Indian woman.. It looks good but it's not in English and no subtitles. Am I going to keep watching? I'm not really understanding it but I'm truly fascinated by the cultural practices. I'll come back tomorrow as I need to processed what I have seen. Lots of body language language talking.

I'm so happy the English subtitles have appeared so I'm going to rewatch the whole thing again. I'm only half way through it in Hindi. Love it already.

It is an awesome but sad story of a world dominated by men but Gangubai makes the best of her situation. Improving the lives of the prostitute and giving them a feeling of self worth but it is a hard lonely. She was duped by the handsome man she loved. He told he was going to make her a movie instead he brought her to Kathiawadi and sold her to the madam of the brothel.

The quote that sticks in my mind is when her best friend dies and they are preparing her for the funeral. Gangubai says"Tie her legs tightly. Men cannot be trusted with not even with a dead body." How horrible is that.

She is a powerful fighter for women and never gives up. She sends her message out to the world with the help of Journalist Fezi.

A woman with a golden heart.

The film is based on the true story of Gangubai Harjivandas. Her life was documented in the book 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai' penned by S. Hussain Zaidi. The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada.

Do-ga-ni
(2011)

Lets not let this ever happen again.
26/06/19 I have already read some reviews on this drama so I'm going into it with both eyes opened. First off I have to think about whether. I'm going to watch it or not. Give me a few days to think about it. I'm going to watch "I cannot hug you" first. It took me three years before I watched it.

21 April 2022 I have now found this on Netflix and decided to watch it.

So it's telling me that this is based on a true story. I think that this is the most pitiful Korean drama I have ever watch. So very, very sad and the children were treated so badly. It was all covered up by those in high places where these evil men were never punished in this life.

God will punish them in his time and place. It was really so heart breaking that this happened. Not many of us are strong enough to be able to see this through. It must have been very hard for the actors who recreated this the horror of this terrible story of child abuse on the deaf and mute.

Bai She 2: Qing She jie qi
(2021)

It is their incessant obsessions that have landed them there
So I have not watched this before but it seem familiar. Anyway I have decided to watch it. Seem full of fantasy science fiction. Maybe I've watched too many and the plots seem the same. I'm sure I've watched something similar. The place Verta has arrived at is called Asuraville sort of mixed mythology. Robotics, end of world themes with gang style scenarios. Describe as dystopian city in the preview. White, snake and green snake seem totally irrelevant in this type os setting but I prepared to see where it will take me. Started with her and her sister fighting a monk. He sister imprisoned in a golden pagoda and she is sent here to Asuraville. How they gonna explain it all in a two hour movie but moving on. Let's watch it. I watched the "legend of the white snake" ages ago. It was 36 episodes.

Simon and the Horseheads and Oxheads about to duke it out. When the Green Snake and Ms Sun tried to escape but she(Ms Sun) is killed and evaporates. She fights on and kills one oxhead. Simon save her from the others. Just as a main battle is to begin a terrifying storm begins. Everyone leaves. In front of the storm are these ghost animals, creatures. The storm is destructive moving buildings and vehicles in its path. Ghost like creatures attack the humans and earth bound individuals. Building fall and earthquakes ravage the landscape. Simon picks her up in his dune buggy. So it's as cycle of storm, fire, floods. Poisonous gases that is happening faster and faster every few days. With them come spirits and demons that can kill them.

They are arguing and fighting within their own faction. Trying to survive what is happening to them all. The fairy tries to kill her and fails.

Demons, Humans and monsters. All Good Market is neutral turf for everyone. All weapons confiscated before they go in. They go through a deep ravine to a temple like building filled with resources. The owner is a fox like human creature. She tell them it is their incessant obsessions that have landed them there. So my obsession with Lee Joon Gi could land me there......Lol! It's what you seek and can't renounce. It is what tortures you and fills you with resentment. Her(green snake) token is her sisters ribbon wrapped around her arm. As they are leaving a fire calamity cycle begins. Everything in its way is burnt to a cider.

To leave Asuraville she had to cross the wish bridge. It was practically an impossible challenge but she made it. She fought the monk and the pagoda fell but she couldn't find her sister. Did she find her in the end?

This story is steeped in Chinese Myths and Legends and I find it hard to understand. I need to watch both prequels and sequels of this story to get a better understanding. I'm sure I watched it before. Rewatching it hasn't made it any clearer to me but it has given me and attachment to discover the full story. I reserve my judgement on this story.

Eogein Mai Raipeu
(2022)

He is so staunch, relentless and dauntless and fearless.
Wow! The opening of "Again my Life" shows Joon Gi's His impressive martial Arts skills......but no subtitles yet. I know how Viki works. First day watch with no subtitles, next day watch again with subtitles so you get a double dose of his magic. Just awesome and amazing just to watch him at work once more. Makes me so happy. He is so staunch, relentless and dauntless and fearless. His magnificent skills are showcased in that first episode but he is worked over first by two larger women who look like twins who are use to fighting together in tandem. Although he beats them he meet another even larger man with even stronger skills. In his already weakened state. His antagoniser almost chokes him to death but then his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills come to the fore when he is on the ground. His opponent is much larger and stronger than him and flips him even when LJG has dislocated his shoulder. He (the opponent) viciously beats him in the face injects him with a drug and throws him over the side of the high building that they have been fighting on. As he fall he has visions as the cityscape flashes before as he falls. He finds himself standing back on that building watching his killer smoking. He is puzzled and sees a woman in red standing beside him. Is this a reaper? She shows him his past and explains his purpose. She sends him back in time to his school days where he was working in a convenience store. He is amazed with his transformation. Memories of his parents flood his mind and how he mistreated them when his mum always left him breakfast when she went to work early in the morning. Then one day they die and he is sorry for his misconduct In his return to life he runs all the way home to find them still alive. He is so happy to be able to repent for his behaviours. They are amazed with his new actions. They think that they are dreaming. He vows to be a better son and person. Later at school he has a vision of his parents death. He knows the date of their death and wonders if he can stop it. Is he trying to stop them from going to work on that day but fails? So he hurries to meet them when he knows the time and place of the accident where they are killed. He gets there before the car comes and his parents appear. He remembers everything about his previous life. He had looked up all the details of his parents demised so knows exactly what happened. He goes to wait outside his parents work place for them. He walks home with them. He stops them from being hit........or does he.

Well that what I got from it without subtitles. My interpretation is pretty close.

Episode 2: This was much harder to understand without subtitles but I get the drift that because of his prior knowledge of events he can predict what going to happen and he goes out of his way to change the events of people who are close to him both those he knows and those he doesn't. He is working slowly and carefully through these challenges. He quietly watches and listens behind scenes as he gathers information against the evil doers.

When I'm rewatching (with subtitles) and making a comparison with the first and second episode. I see that he is pretty arrogant, ambitious and over confident in the that first part. He just jumps in with no thought of the consequences as a result what happens..... Second time around because of his previous experiences he is more cautious and looks like he is going to find the the damning evidence about the evil doers before he makes his next move. He is sussing out all of the conspirators and how they all fit in together. In his first life he got under their skin of so many high profile people no wonder he was killed. He needs to gather his evidence more throughly this new time that he is given. He is told that if he is too hasty he might be killed again.

The slowness of the subtitles input has given me a chance to really investigate what is happening in this drama and analyse every part of it very closely. Love it so far. He is the master at work.

One of things I do understand is that his martial art strengths have enabled him to protect himself and loved ones against violence and bullies.

Episode 3: So he is fighting the guy that killed him but he is immovable. Kim Hee-woo is just wasting his energy. That guy is so much stronger that he is. It's just like watching his first fight with him and he is just getting pummelled. I personally just hate watching LJG getting hurt like that. Finally he's just technically knocked out like before with no fight left in him. Is he going to die again? Obviously not. He's the main actor. What is going to happen to him. It's like a reenactment. Oh No! He is thrown over the bridge but surprise surprise. Yeah! Watch it! "Again my Life"

He's going to toughen himself up by the looks of things. More gruelling workouts on the cards. The trainer is good. Really good. He is really muscular too. Wow! Kim Hee-woo is going to be much stronger he is even running with weights.

He has got a way with the ladies that he has got to know and changed their destiny. They like him and he is tutoring Kim Han Mi. She is doing very well. He is helping all of them and they appreciate him.

The photography in this drama is immaculate and crystal clear.

LJG must be happy that he is working with one of the veterans of Korean actors guild - Lee Soon Jae. He is very old now 87 but he's still got it.

He is sussing out some of the key players and the property market. I'm not up with the play on that. Now he is talking to the tenants that are being evicted. He is seeking legal advice from a lawyer he worked with to gain experience. He is going to the auctions. He must have won on his bid.

What is Kim Han-mi dad up to he seems to be buying her off or something. The money was for her university tuition. Is that her brother that caused her to be slapped by her dad? He brother insults her and she retaliates. That is why her dad hits her. Her brother had been giving her drugs in the past. She has poor self esteem because she hasn't been loved and cared for by her father who had her on the wrong side of the bed.

Koreans have a high culture of drinking their problems away. Is she telling Kim Hee-woo her sad story.

There is a lot of dialogue in this episode really need subs now. I know I have to wait which gives me time to dissect all of the acting and body language. Long dialogue is hard to interpret without Korean understanding or subtitles.

Kim Hee-woo is meeting with the Law student body President. Is the Pres. Recruiting him (Kim Hee-woo) for Cho Tae Seob cartel ( remember no subs yet)? I'm just guessing! He is meeting key players. He lived before so he already knows what type of people he is dealing with. Is he going to join their club so he can get information? Now with subs I can see that they are definitely grooming him for their Secret Law Department Club at Hanguk University. All of the top prosecutors have been in that club. So my guess was right. They really don't understand his intentions. They have let the wolf into the sheep pen. They are telling him that they are going to get rid of Wu Song Su. Hee-woo mentor. Is Hee-woo going to save him too? Hee-woo warned him and saved him. Wow! He gave all of his investment money to Hee-woo and believes he came from heaven. Hee-woo is rich. This is amazing. He wants him to use the money to do good. The old man knows that he is going to die soon. His advice to Hee-woo is to always look at the big picture. Don't lose yourself in your quest. All that money could go to his head.

He keeps meeting up with that old man. Who is he? I'm looking up cast information. He seems to be a helpful person. Lee Soon-jae as Woo Yong-soo, a rich businessman who mentors Hee-woo regarding real estate investments. So that is what he is doing.

Hee-woo goes to a Cho Tae Seob rally. He sees a woman. She looks exactly like that red reaper that he met when he died. She said they may meet again. He is astounded when he sees her.

Episode 4: I keep wondering what has Cho Tae Seob done to this woman or what will he do for her to become a reaper. At this stage and time frame. Does she know Wee-hoo or not? So many questions but so intrigued. Does he groom children from childhood?

Oh Min Guk is having drinks with Kim Hee-ah when Hee-woo turns up.

That guy is still watching her. Is she the one from the Cheonha Group? She is the female main actor in this drama. Oh Min Guk gets very drunk and Hee-woo sends him home in a taxi. Kim Hee-ah has disappeared when Hee-woo turn around. I man is following her. He fights with Hee-woo. The guy is a good fighter. He is obviously trained. Kim Hee-ah sees them fighting she knows him. He must be her body guard.

Someone is watching him training. Cheonha Group is watching him. They know now that Hee-woo is an extraordinary student. That bodyguard knows he trains and that he is very strong. They are impressed with him. Oh Min Guk especially is totally impressed. She hates Cho Tae Seob.

Hee-woo has a way with woman but he needs to be careful that they don't take advantage of his sweetness and kindness.

Oh Min Guk introduces him to a friend. Something bad happened to this new student friend. It is hard to tell what his dilemma id without subs even tough we have some sort of flashback. Moon Sung-hwan, Hee-woo's friend who is an app developer

What is Cho Tae Seob talking about with Kim Hee-ah's father.

Why is Cho Tae Seob male secretary begging. Is he telling him to eliminate someone. It's not the secretary it is someone else. Looks like he is being killed as the assassin comes in to take him away. It looks like it is the new friends father.

His parent opened a restaurant it seems to be doing well.

He remembers that he is younger now and hasn't done his military training.

Is he truly love working with these people? Need subs! So he has got them all working against each other. I hope it works and doesn't backfire because they are all on Cho Tae Soeb payroll.

Korean large family small family contrasts
Large cast of interesting long term and new actors. It's a long series of 50 episodes but is looks fun and exciting and up for it. So I'm watching it. Lots of well know older Korean actors seem to cast in a more comedy role be good to see that when I have seen them act in very serious roles in the past. What I really like about these Korean dramas is that they go into the details of the lives of the people portrayed in these dramas and you get the whole experience of their lifestyles which I class as the Korean Lifestyles. Also I'm always happy to see true family life displayed and that younger children are included in the mix. Looking forward to watching this. These dramas is where I get my understanding of the cultural life of Koreans.

The beginning is a bit confusing and sad. Korean parent take their children's marriages and divorce far too personally. Actually it is not about them (the parents) at all. It's about the couples. Here in New Zealand often our Maori people don't even get married and just leave the relationship when they are not happy about it. Yes! It can and does hurt the parents but they don't interfere with the couples choices. Why is it so bad to get a divorce then worse to marry a divorcee? I don't understand that way of thinking.

My own family 8 of us.

Josie me had a child at 19 but left that man and married another man. Divorced him 50+ years later but we had been separated for 30+ years. I decided that it was time.

Wayne - Married twice divorced twice now single Marcia - Married then divorced 2nd marriage Pihi - Child at 15 kicked out that man she had a baby too and had several relationships. Then married and divorced 2nd marriage Dallas - Had several different woman had children to then married one kicked her out. Had another relationship with a very young woman had more children. Then died after several children with her.

Syan had children with his first love she left him. He married and had more children.

Lance had a child to his first love never committed but married someone else while still young. They had children then he left.

Ngahue had two sons to a man while still young. He left her. She picked up with a Solo-dad with 4 children. They had two son. They married late in life after the children had grown up

How can the parents be so furious with them when they divorce? Really it is not their life. It's the life of the children.

The parents relationship should be strong enough to console each other. After all they have each other. But it doesn't happen here. The adult children are so obedient and listen to their parents. Why?

I do love their family relationships where they sleep with their children because it is part of my culture to sleep with our children until they are happy to sleep in their own beds.

These Korean dramas certainly know how to play on your heart strings.

There are the four siblings: Oh Dae-hwan as Song Joon-sun a son the oldest. This son is a stuntman a bit of feisty and stroppy guy but loveable. Who will fight anyone if it has anything to do with the safety of his sisters and family. His wife divorced him because he became the surety for a friend and the friend couldn't pay the debt. Still loves his wife so much. So happy when his ex-wife allowed him to sleep the night in the bedroom of his two daughters. One a teenager and the other 5 years old.

Oh Yoon-ah as Song Ga-hee - the oldest girl - second child. She was an air steward who married the captain(pilot) of a plane she was on but divorced him when she caught him cheating on her. She is a personality not to be messed with. They have one sweet son. He is beginning puberty. He is Kim Ji Hoon described below

Lee Min-jung as Song Na-hee - A very intelligent but stroppy woman - third child,. She is a doctor a pediatrician. She is works well in her hospital but is not approachable to her junior doctors who are afraid of her. She speaks harshly to them. Her husband works in the same hospital. They get on well professionally.

Lee Cho-hee as Song Da-hee - She is nickname the Last One - youngest child. She has a bit of an inferiority complex and hasn't pushed herself during her student days. Her marriage was annulled when she caught her newly wed husband kissing another woman on the evening of their wedding day. She begins to fall in love with her sisters ex-brother-inlaw. She is sweet kind and very humorous.

Ki Do Hoon / Park Hyo Shin Wow! He is such a spunk and he has grown up since Arthdal Chronicles. That is where I first noticed him and he's a supporting actor in this Drama. I noticed him immediately when he appeared in here. He is so gorgeous and his martial arts skills are phenomenal I have added him to my best Korean actors list. He makes a big impression on here and I want to watch him play a leading role in another drama. He is not that verbal in this role but his presence is stunning. He is so stoic, self-controlled and taciturn but he loves to help Moon Woo Jin / Kim Ji Hoon (Ga Hee's son) who is being bullied at school. He is teaching him judo. He comforts him when his dad doesn't turn up after he has promised to come visit. He becomes Ga Hee's love interest when he tell her he likes her.

Ahn Kil KangYang Chi Soo (Young Dal's friend) I've never seen him in a role like this before, as a romantic man. He acts this part so well but I miss his action man roles as the martial arts superior fighter. I was so annoyed with him though. He is so fickle just because Baek Ji WonJang Ok Ja (Ok Boon's younger sister) kissed him he changed his affections to her. What else did she give him is my question?

Chun Ho Jin / Song Young Dal I'm used him in those hard man political roles or the evil master mind and seeing him here as the soft but penny pinching and loveable family man is revealing as to his depth as an actor. He keeps you on your toes and engrossed in the storyline. As the father though.....he is such an Indian Giver. When he is drunk he gives out money to his children but the next day when he is sober. He takes it all back. So comical. They're used to it but they try so hard to keep the money but he has a strategy that makes them give it back.

The story of him and his sister was getting a bit tedious especially when the scamming woman got hold of that old photograph of him and his family. I felt like quitting the drama. Then but his kids love stories kept me bonded to the end. That con woman though was making me so furious as she had caused so much drama. I kept skipping over the parts where she was scamming the family. She was making me so mad. Chun Ho Jin the actor had to play a very emotional role in this drama. It was awesome to seen him demonstrate, sadness, betrayal, joy and happiness, disappointment, defeat, failure, error, discouragement. All of these emotions were etched on his face. Truly an outstanding actor

Moon Woo JinKim Ji Hoon (Ga Hee's son) He is such a good little actor but I hate it when his father doesn't turn up for his parental visits and leaves him waiting outside of the school. It just breaks my heart. He bonds with Park Hyo Shin.

Acting: Such tremendous emotional acting from all of our actors from both the young and older actors. This is showing their vast range and qualities as accomplished and gifted Korean actors.

Kim Bo Yun / Choi Yoon Jung (Gyu Jin & Jae Suk's mother) She was an irritating and annoying character but she was an outstanding actor and she got to wear some fabulous clothes. I particularly loved her pink peplum jacket and pink flowered tight skirt outfit in episode 37. She looked dazzling and stunning in it. The peplum style so suits her. It showed off her amazing slim figure. She got to wear some stunning garments. Although she and Cha Hwa Yun/Jang Ok Boon (Mother of the four sibling) fought often. They were old school friends and she supported Jang Ok Boon when she left her husband. They give each other mutual support. Her daughters are in a relationship with Choi Yoon Jung sons but most of the drama the couples are keeping in secret from their parents.

Costumes The clothing worn but the women in this drama is eye-catching, stunning and impressive. They got to wear specular and modern fashionable garments that captured our envy and admiration. It made us stop look and appreciate. The three sisters always looked fashionable and well dressed. I particularly love there shorts and tops or shorts suits ( same jacket and matching shorts). Lee Min Jung/Song Na Hee The doctor wore dressy ones to work at the hospital. Lee Cho Hee/ Song Da Hee wore shorts to university. Oh Yoon Ah/ Song Ga Hee wore mostly upmarket dresses. Lee Jung Eun Kang Cho Yeon / Song Young Sook the lost sister and her two supporters:Lee Joo-ri and Kim Ga-yeon got to wear more outrageous revealing and brazen outfits that totally suited the role they played.

Lee Jung Eun Kang Cho Yeon / Song Young Sook Was the lost sister that they took so long to find. Sister's Kimbap store owner. Young-dal's long-lost younger sister, Song Young-sook.

When watching this program I couldn't help but compare the New Zealand way of life with the Korea practices. They both have a high culture of drinking until drunk, also a high level of family violence parents against their wives and children. Koreans even hit their grown to adults children whereas in NZ children have learnt to fight back against their parents or leave home. Koreans often sleep on the floor with their children as do Maori and Polynesian New Zealanders. Often Maori and Polynesians also have this Senior/Junior thing. Elders above younger, elder siblings before younger siblings. Personally I think it's petty. Respect is earned not a given.

Cinematography and Photography Some scenes were breathtakingly beautiful. We got to see some of the most attractive scenic cityscapes of Korean. The photography had clear and distinct qualities to it.

Cousins
(2021)

Whanau will alway be whanau.
This really captured my interest because it is a story of the experiences of our Maori people but I find it rather fragmented and does not go into the details of what happened to these women. It would have been better as a series describing more and connecting the timelines.

As it is. It is very poignant but not deep enough. It was just scratching the surface and does not explain so many things and leaves me with so many questions. Like why did Mata become homeless when she had a job?

Their life stories are poorly explained and more like raptured memoirs in a dream like state and does not capture the essences of their hurt loss of connection. The cousins alienation from one another and their separation from their land. Maybe a more personal narrative focused more on the total lifestory of one of the girls. It was just too short.

Jumanji: The Next Level
(2019)

The call of Jumanji is relentless and you a powerless to stop its call to you.
Well I'm not to the next level not sure that I've watched this before but the pull of Jumanji is relentless and keeps calling you back to experience its adventures. When it calls all you can do is obey. So I'm here now.

It is so good and funny. You never know what is going to happen in Jumanji. The fun and humour never stops. I so love catching up with these guys.

Brightburn
(2019)

This is not Superman nor any other super hero
Well I started this movie thinking it was going to be like a superman type story, but it soon turned into some horror reincarnation but I'm still watching. He becomes so scary. Then it gets crazy. I think I'm going to tap out. Can't handle it. Too freaky.

Kuromukuro

Anime Fantasy Science Fiction mainly for young men and women.
Just a bit of a recap of my experiences fo far with watching this anime. As a fairly new viewer to this genre I find it very thought-provoking and captivating. I have secured curious interest in it because it has aroused my scientific, fantasy fiction brain. To really enjoy this you need to have this kind of curiosity. It is not complicated or difficult to understand. I believe that it is produced mainly for the young adults and the kind of gutter humour and comedic moments reinforce this idea. It is not without its artistic merits though as the animation displays will suit that age group and in line with the young peoples ways of describing and thinking.

It has a kind of excitement and vibrancy that will enthuse their jaded minds as most of the youth of today have been brought up to have a feeling of entitlement with few goals in privileged environments. So they will enjoy this gratuitous and superfluous series of euphoria for a few hours of entertainment bliss.

It get really exciting as it builds up to its climax and they gather the information that is necessary for the survival of the people on planet earth.

I find it really entertaining as you let your imagination believe that these space escapades could really happen. I think as a viewer you have to take into account who this series is made for and not get into any complex analysis or review and try to find some deep and insightful meaning but accept it as pure entertainment as refuge from the real world that we live in. Just sit back relax and enjoy.

What I found fascinating though was the positive use of female role models from a patriarchal society like Japan. They had women in leadership positions and amongst the spaceship pilots.
