Mixed Doubles
(2006)

Highly underrated gem
At a time when there were mainly formula films that got made in Bollywood and Anurag kashyap was struggling to get a proper theatrical release of his first film, there came this movie that I watched recently 15years after it got made(it came out in 2006 acc to IMDb) and I have to say, this film felt very fresh and contemporary. First off you have to see this for the supporting cast ,all those character actors of 2000's who have made their mark in Hindi cinema like vinay Pathak, saurabh Shukla, great cameo from manurishi chaddha, rajat Kapoor(who directed the film), and few others. Ranvir shorey and konkana sen playing husband and wife (in real life also they are married) are a treat to watch. And the wife swapping thing(don't worry, not a spoiler as its name suggest it :) ) is such a practical plot. Give it a shot , it's worth it.

Better Call Saul
(2015)

BCS is heading towards it's BB franchise timeline
Better call Saul for me is divided into two parts, one where we go through the transition of lawyer James McGill from being slippy Jimmy to being Saul Goodman (it's all good man!!hah) and it comprises of all sorts of tricks in the trade(in this case the trade being law attorneys, big corporate law firms)that Jimmy uses to better his professional career. And in this long journey he uses few short cuts to make quick bucks and these choices lead us to part two of BCS, yes the one that strikes chord with BB business. And for me part two was very interesting ,actually part of the reason why I started binging BCS because it can somehow relate us to the bb world. And trust me once you will reach season 5 you can't actually distinguish both worlds. I am eagerly waiting for next season now because the story is all set in for the introduction to Heisenberg.

Gisaengchung
(2019)

Another Korean gem
Boon Jong ho's parasite is a slow burner 2hr film telling a story about two families (actually3) whose lives gets entangled within a house. Although the last half hour movie do make out of the lost time initially where the story takes some time for the build up. The mansion has a special eerie feel throughout the film and you will know why it feels like that later on. The background score supports the eerieness. I watched the film in Korean language using eng subtitles edited by a Korean guy who knew only handful of English. So there were scenes where I had to literally assume what had happened by looking at the frame alone. Overall you won't regret watching parasite ,infact it's a must watch for people who likes seeing unpredictable films
