A fine entry into the franchise No doubt Ryan Coogler was a whisper in Michael B Jordans ear for his directorial debut, and what a debut. Its certainly not a perfect movie, some beats dont hit as hit as you might anticipate, but it sure had enough of a beating heart that sometimes had an adrenaline spike.
Michael has grown into Addonis and clearly Loves this character and honors the performance he puts on.
Standout though, was Jonathan Majors very menacing Damien, someone with nothing to lose, and everything to take. He was a beast in the ring, and dug up some demons to be able to play Dame. At this point he is no doubt an A-Lister who we will see in more and more films in the future.
Well done to the cast and crew of this film, thank you for moving the story forward in a brisk way. Im also kind of glad that Rockey was not in this one, because at this point, it would have just been for the movie poster.
