The Lake House
(2006)

An excellent heart journey
This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Keanu Reeves gives a superb performance as Alex Wiler. Warm-hearted and unassuming, Keanu brought tears to my eyes as he searched and tried to connect with the one person that he could love. Sandra Bullock captivates and takes control of the screen as she too, searches for love.

Atypical of Keanu's other roles, The Lake House is a must see for Keanu fans far and wide. There's aren't any impressive back flips, or fancy language to get caught up in. This movie comes from the heart, and speaks directly to it.

Congrats Keanu! A job well done.

An excellent piece of film!
Vince Vaughn is very convincing as a single father in this film! The most intriguing feature of this film is Vince out of funny! This is my first experience with him not trying to make me laugh, and yes, he did make me cry! Torn between new love, new job, old feelings and a child, his character took me on a roller-coaster ride that didn't end until the credits rolled!!! If you see no other Vaughn movie this one is a must! Not only is the story great, but Vince is gentle and compassionate; a father that takes his job as a parent most seriously. The angst in his day-to-day struggle as a parent and a man will leave you thinking about parenthood long after the movie has ended!

Awesome Movie!
This is one of my favorite movies. This movie takes a very serious subject and presents it in a very light-hearted manner. There were times when I wasn't sure if I should have been laughing or crying. My favorite scenes had much to do with the quasi-comical nature in which AIDs is presented, and how each character acts, reacts, and is affected by the sickness. Rest assured, this movie will keep you interested not only with its story line but with the surprise cameo appearances by some of today's best actors.

Patrick Stewart gives an outstanding performance as "Sterling," however, it is Michael T. Weiss who steals the show! Not only does he look incredible in white spandex, but his performance is incredibly believable. Whether you are a Weiss fan or not, this movie is a must see! Lanie, NY
