Great direction, acting and plot. Many lessons to learn, not just for Sikh minority of India,but others as well. Politicians can do anything for power and forget basic human rights and their Primary duties. Being a so called largest democracy and secular state, Indian leaders never thought of welfare of the country or people, only their family matters the most. This movie highlights how innocent community of India was butchered, just for personal gain. I wish Director could have avoided personal love stories and sticked to the facts. Bollywood movies seems to add some unnecessary parts which could totally be left out, especially when audience is expecting this movie to be Rom-com.

I generally like Ayushmann Khurrana's movies, and have high expectations. This movie is not his best one.

Good Cinematography and shooting locations from NE India. I understand issues raised by this movie are important, but execution is really bad. It feels super slow because of poor screenplay. It's not watchable in one sitting, because audience keep loosing interest. They should have made documentary instead of a movie.

Loved the movie, Gippy Grewal played character of straight forward Girdhari lal very well. Challenges that Beautiful and honest people face such as being called simpleton are presented very well. At the same time excellent portrayel of time before partition. Finally all the songs in the movie are selected carefully and are sung in tune. Not like today's popular artists singing about violence that is far away from true punjabi culture but closer to Compton culture. You ll love this movie and songs if you really understand punjabi culture, or it ll be bouncer over your head.
