Civil War
(2024)

a complete disappointment2
1:40 minutes of pure suffering, the character of Jessie, an ambitious and stupid young woman, and the worst thing is that she takes the jackpot in the end, without any meritorious situation, since almost every character he met during this journey died because of her fault Disastrous way for the screenwriter to view women.

If this film aims to illustrate what a war journalist is, it is a joke, it has no context other than some action scenes, many shooting and of course in every gringo movie "move move!", this makes me laugh a lot, explosions and everything you would see in a superhero movie or series and that's it.

1/10.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live: The Last Time
(2024)
Episode 6, Season 1

Scott Gimple should have been fired a long time ago
My contempt for Scott Gimple's work is justified and here is why.

Before I must say, the best thing about the spinoff was the performances of Andrew Lincoln and Danai G. And that's it.

Gimple had YEARS to write this "epic" story (according to him) and many fans waited years (included me) to see Rick's return, so this guy has no excuse.

This episode is patetically sad bc it reminds me of any filling episode of Fear The Walking Dead, but it was even worse, since Gimple decided to end the greatest threat the Walking Dead universe has ever known, the CRM, IN 45 MINUTES OR LESS . I always doubted Gimple's skill writting and as showrunner and Im not wrong, this guy has no idea what to do with this franchise, I feel sorry for the fans who wasted their time watching World Beyond, years of CRM build up for nothing, so why make a spinoff of the CRM?, The answer is simple, Gimple just improvises, that's why temporal time is a disaster too.

This episode is so rush that in each pacing there is an issues trying to follow the situation, not to mention unrealistic scenes and cheesy dialogue, which reminded me of the final episode of the main series and in terms of development it's the same, 1. Prepare the attack. 2. a big explosion. 3. the enemy is defeated 4. A happy ending.

The ending was for the fans, Rick's reunion with his children was what many fans expected, but even that scene was cheesy and poorly executed bc assuming they arrived in the Commonwealth, where are the rest of the characters? I mean Carol, Ezekiel, Gabriel, etc. And about Maggie and Negan, years have passed, Rick is not mentioned in their spinoff, does Maggie know? She should.

Once again the fans are left full of unanswered questions, full of loose ends, fans theorizing about it like morons, I think that after this a lot of people will wake up and realize that this franchise isn't going anywhere and there will be no season 2 either.

Scott Gimple continues improvising and thinking about how to end this nonsense, maybe AMC will lose patience like me and they just from one day to the next they cancel everything.

My last thought

The best era of TWD was Mazzara and Darabont, like someone said on twitter.

I love TWD but I hate what it has become.

Rick deserved a better story.

1/10, If I could have given it a zero rating I would have done so.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live: Become
(2024)
Episode 5, Season 1

Apocalyptic Honeymoon
An apocalyptic honeymoon is what Scott Gimple has transformed into Rick story, disappointing and frustrating.

Jadis/Anne had to be taken out of the equation, of course, Pollyanna Mcintosh gave her best performance of the character, the best of the episode. Anne's death seems to me ungrateful in many aspects, it would have been better to use this character in a ambiguous alliance with Rick and Michonne, but with the lack of enemies it was obvious that Jadis should be the antagonist.

There's not much more to add in this episode, because nothing relevant happens apart from Jadis' death...ahh wait?? The cameo of Seth Gilliam (Gabriel) was exciting for a moment, since his presence has no purpose nor does it affect the future of the plot, Gabriel doesn't find out that Rick hasn't died, nor he doesn't find out about the organization in which Jadis belongs, Gimple constantly avoids delivering these connections to drag out this story as long as he can, that is tiring and frustrating me, every time this showrunner has the opportunity to give significant progress to this franchise he avoids it, how much longer will Gimple continue to milk this franchise?, until turning TWD into something cheesy.

I could bet that next week this spinoff will end in a big cliffhanger, how do I know? Because it's simple, Gimple being Gimple, when creativity is lacking this is how he end his stories and he uses this tool every time he can.

I'll say it again, Rick deserved a better story.

1/10.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live: What We
(2024)
Episode 4, Season 1

10/10? this ins't a Breaking Bad spinoff
It seems like this website is full of fanboys of this series, 10/10??? Come on! Let's be honest, this spinoff is not Better Call Saul, when it comes to writing and script.

It all starts with a magnificent condo, with a very clean environment, unrealistic for an apocalyptic series.

The big problem with this episode is that it spends too much time arguing, arguing and repeat between the characters whether or not to go home (Alexandria), with Michonne trying to talk Rick (a totally pathetic Rick) into going home. At one point they have the opportunity when the helicopter crashes, Michonne and Rick would be presumably dead, which is good, after it takes forever to Michonne convince to Rick and Rick only wanted to stay because of Jadis' threats, but now they're dead for Jadis, BUT NOPE, Rick insists on staying because of a mission from Okafor, a ridiculous mission to change the CRM and THIS MAKES NO SENSE, What did the writer do to Rick? Trying to show Rick as a broken man bothers me, he doesn't have stockholm syndrome, especially when he knows that the CRM has killed thousands or millions of innocent people, the writer shows Rick as a weak and stupid character, and Rick is not, totally out of character.

The tip of the iceberg is next episode promo trailer when Michonne says: "this can't end with us going home", what are you talking about?? Danm, this entire episode was Michonne trying to convince Rick to come home lol, all this about escaping, not escaping, all this plot is exhausting, boring, we know nothing about the "fearsome" CRM and grandpa Beale.

I started to feel like Rick deserved a better story, perhaps more focused on the politics of CRM, but it turned into a love story that I'm not connected to and I'm not interested in it.

The best of the episode was the Roomba, absolutely made me laugh.

2/10.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live: Gone
(2024)
Episode 2, Season 1

Richonne Show isn't a Zombie Show
The beginning is 20 minutes of complete waste, since all the characters die except for Michonne of course, she has plot armor.

The worst thing is that you reach the same point where episode 1 ended, Michonne's entire journey would have been better addressed if she told her story to Rick and in each dialogue it was reinforced with flashback.

I'm not part of any ship, I'm not a shipper, so I don't care a bit about Richonne's story, this from the beginning was a Rick movie, three Rick movies, more explicit Gimple promised us 3 movies ABOUT Rick, I don't want these cheesy dialogues, these Gimple-speak. And that's why this spin off does not feel like Zombie Show, the zombies are not a threat, this show seems like a romance in a strange apocalyptic dystopia with a silly samurai costume, the essence of this show was lost, it is unfortunate since the story of Rick started everything.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live: Years
(2024)
Episode 1, Season 1

Not the premiere I expected
The premiere is good but not great. We can finally see what happened to Rick, as he tries over and over again...but then at minute 8:00 that strange change of pace happens, Rick's dream with Michonne,Why does he dream about Michonne in the first place and not Judith? Kids are the most important thing for parents, but I understand the reason, the efforts and probably the budget were limited.

Then the episode picks up pace again and then once again introduces us to Rick's strange dream, these scenes are unnecessary, I personally want to know more about Rick and the CRM, the writers' attempt to force us to remember that this series is Epic Love Story is annoying. The ending, on the other hand, is the right thing to do, because this reunion between Rick and Michonne happens naturally.

As for the villain, General Baile, it was disappointing, nothing will beat Negan's introduction to the show. The only reason the CRM is intimidating is because according to one of the characters it says that "they are the largest army in the world", well that is debatable, but focusing on Major General Beale he seems like a grandpa to me, a BIG WASTE of opportunity on the part of the writers to make the last enemy in TWD actually have a fierce and scary intro.

Rick Grimes, I fear for him, as he sometimes feels out of character, like scene when Rick greets General Beale. This spinoff feels a bit like the Game of Thrones showrunners wrote the last seasons without having the books in their hands. I don't know if Scott Gimple has Kirkman's guide here, but we'll see them in the next episodes.

8/10.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
(2023)

This isn't a movie about Snow.
Totally disappointed, for a moment I thought this would be a movie about one of the Hunger Games villains but his story became a romantic story something like a bad musical or karaoke.

This was marketed incorrectly because Rachel Zegler is not the main character, her character is a catalyst for Snow story but the producers focused the story on her, a desperate move.

This movie feels like a waste of time, of course I don't recommend it, it's worse than the last Marvel movie, But if you like cheesy movies and long singing scenes like Disney movies, pick this one up, this one is for you.

1/10.

Fear the Walking Dead: The Road Ahead
(2023)
Episode 12, Season 8

Gimple ruined another show
Let me be honest, this Fear TWD finale didn't need another 6 episodes, this whole thing should have ended when Morgan left and at some point Alicia would have shown up. Every episode looks like a scene we've already seen, Troy (impaled) and Madison's scene looks like Virginia and Morgan's scene.

Gimple, showrunners and the writers room are still making the same mistakes after 8 or 6 years, plot holes, killing characters off screen, and convenient situations with cheap exits LIKE resurrect Troy and then kill him AGAIN LOL, really stupid writing, nonsense.

Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, they said that each character would have a conclusive ending, but what happened to Dwight and Sherry?, here I can smell that they will return to a spin off, Dead City, and it is a very bad idea to have these characters in that spin off, because Gimple will only continue dragging the old plot from season 7-8 opf main series, I can already feel sorry for Negan.

Alicia's return, I couldn't help but laugh at this cheesy scene, with zero emotion from the actors, come on!! Years have passed!!, Alicia believed her mother was dead, where is the emotion??.

Not to mention Daniel's cat, I don't know, he's maybe 10 years old or more, he's the true survivor of this show.

Another typical situation in the TWD universe, NO ONE DIES, and despite that it felt like a forced and unsatisfied ending.

Open endings are the specialty of Gimple and his team writers, with the sole purpose of prolonging the agony of this saga by turning it into a bad version of the MCU.

I'm not surprised at this point that The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (Rick and Michonne spinoff) ended after its 6 episodes with an open ending or cliffhanger.

Milk the cow while you can seems to be Scott Gimple's motto, regardless of the quality of the TV show he shows us, anyway there are still fans who consume his garbage.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
(2023)

I'm pleasantly surprised
I'm pleasantly surprised with the Level/Quality of this spin off, I'm not just talking about the location, let's be honest, France is a beautiful country geographically, I'm talking about the writing, the characters, actors and crew of this spin off have done excellent so far.

It's inevitable to make a comparison with Dead City (Negan and Maggie spin off), the producers of this show did everything wrong and Daryl Dixon spin off has done everything right, simple that. The plot is interesting (it resembles the last of us) but not the same. Everything has a natural and fluid dialogue, I constantly wonder where the story is going, this has cach me, even the zombies seem to me to help the story a lot.

I will say it once again, the big mistake of the creator of Dead City was resetting the characters of Negan and Maggie, all those tired dialogues, where their relationship is not going anywhere, nor is the spin off. Daryl Dixon was not reset, he was put in a different place where he adapted quickly, as naturally any human being would, this feels very real, and I love it.

Daryl is not my favorite character, but Norman Reedus has outdone himself. Clemence Poesy is an excellent actress, Isabelle is a character that intrigues me, her lies have a hidden purpose. Adam Nagaitis (Quinn), will undoubtedly complicate things and Codron (Romain Levi) will be an enemy to fear, I really like this villain, he is not cartoonish like The Croat/The Dama (Dead City) his personification is really believable.

This spin off has a lot of potential and will be the success of The Walking Dead, bringing back the glory of the first seasons of the main series, why not? We still need to see the wonderful Melissa McBride (Carol), I could bet, this spin off will shine as one of the best along with Rick and Michonne spin off.

I can't wait for where the story of Daryl and his journey through France takes us and for some questions we all have to finally be answered.

10/10.

The Walking Dead: Thank You
(2015)
Episode 3, Season 6

the worst cliffhanger
Rewatching this season, many people accuse that since Negan's appearance began the decline of this series, and I must say no, it was much earlier, I think this episode was one of the worst mistakes of producers of this show, Glenn's cliffhanger was a way quite cheap, the character show up as if nothing after 6 episodes and other episodes he definitve dies. It seems that Scott Gimple had no idea what to do with the character.

This episode would have been pretty good if it wasn't for this stupid and unnecessary cliffhanger.

It's a shame how the producers and writers ruined this show, its characters, the plot, it lost consistency and coherence.

The Walking Dead: Coda
(2014)
Episode 8, Season 5

stupid decisions, stupid deaths
I will never understand why this episode has such a high rating. I always found that Beth was an unnecessary character in the plot and she should have died much earlier, the problem is that the writers kill the characters in the most stupid and convenient ways, the characters constantly make stupid decisions, as is the case with Beth. I felt no pity and even when Maggie arrived crying and screamed when she saw her sister (the only family she had left alive in this world) dead in Daryl's arms. Regarding Maggie, her only relative, she never felt interested in looking for her own sister and blood, for later she felt remorse, a constant in she.

Not a good episode, and just a mediocre one, I'm not even impressed with Rick Grimes's moral swings.

The Walking Dead: Dead City: Doma Smo
(2023)
Episode 6, Season 1

Eli Jorne
This is the final episode and continues to have the same problems, no time for explanations like Negan is stabbed in the chest but nothing happens to him, he doesn't bleed, he doesn't feel pain, so why was he stabbed in the first place?, so I think it must be to make Maggie look great and badass. Ginny is a very poorly executed character, with potential, her story doesn't have any impact other than in the last few minutes, where Negan confesses that he killed her father and only for her to leave again, what's the point?, no make sense at all.

Eli Jorne.

He is the showrunner of this tvshow and the problem with this franchise is its writers.

Dead City became a very attractive tvshow since the announcement obviously because of its characters, Negan and Maggie, their interaction worked in the main series but not this spin off and this is the reason;

To recap a bit, the scene where Negan apologizes to Maggie in the main series and then at the end they have a conversation, you can see the pain Negan, he feels regret for he did it, all these feelings and emotions are tied to what he took from Maggie and she understands that Negan is trying. That ending was so important in many ways, Negan knows what he did was wrong and on the other side of the coin Maggie doesn't want to hate Negan anymore for this, but she is willing to try to forgive him, so they both know it won't be easy, but they are aware that they can put their relationship one step further, but all evolution returned to the beginning in this spin off, a serious mistake. Eli Jorne forgot to understand thar Maggie and Negan has at the end of The Walking Dead was start of their relationship going to into a different direction, and this show has failed to capitalize on that in these two characters. To start this final episode, the interactions, revenge, Maggie's anger still feel artificial, the lies, the betrayed, after all these years Maggie hates Negan? Did it take another 6 episodes to realize that Maggie is still emotonional stuck? The attitude Maggie's doesn't feel right, it doesn't make sense after the beautiful ending Angela Kang gave them in the main series, in this show THAT connection was lost.

This plot would have sounded more convincing and realistic, for example: "Negan heard that Hershel was kiddnaped by the Croat, so Negan comes to Hilltop with the plan to help get Hershel back, Maggie a bit doubtful and thanks him but doesn't want to, but Negan insists that she doesn't have to do it alone and that he's there to help her."

This last one makes more sense because it continues in the line of what Negan has done before, Maggie trying to forgive Negan and trust and Negan trying to do things in the best possible way, I would have loved to see this in their relationship, a more normal and realistic way, I think the writers dropped the ball and missed a great opportunity with these two characters, the writers missed to opportunity to explore more of these characters' abilities rather than their weaknesses and traumas AGAIN, more as allies than enemies.

But instead in this spin off we also have Eli Jorne saying that he would deepen the relationship of both characters, but he doesn't do the interaction justice because so many things happen that in each episode, there are 2-3 minutes of dialogue between Maggie and Negan, this isn't going deep at all, so overall it all feels "still" between them, just exhausting.

At this point it feels more refreshing to have Negan and Maggie start a romantic relationship, but it's kind of hard to build, so it would be a tough job for Eli Jorne to pull off and convince the vieviews with this plot, too much for him, so I forget about that possibility.

Season 2: Negan vs Maggie. (The War)

In this episode, it is pretty much clear the direction that they will be taken between these two characters, at some point Eli Jorne will continue milking the moral conflicts that will be presented to the already aged and tired Negan, fighting not to return to the old Negan ways, will he fall and lose forever his redemption arc?. Maggie will continue dragging her trauma with her problematic son, trying to hide or run away, in the middle there will be a war, some battles with increasingly dark scenes, without tension (the zombies are no longer scary), haven't we seen these before? The recipe is old and well-known, but cooked in NYC, I have a feeling and I hope I'm wrong, but if this show doesn't change its direction or its showrunner it will be another failure like Fear the Walking Dead, only now it's on the edge, looking into the abyss, there is still time to be saved it.

The Walking Dead: Dead City: Stories We Tell Ourselves
(2023)
Episode 5, Season 1

this show is just for TWD fans
Turning zombies into methane isn't even realistic (the writers say that the Croat is scientific, people, please stop.). The worst of this fact, that the writers stress gain on this, the nobel prize committee should be aware of to the writers of this show this years.

Decomposing bodies not only release gases such as methane into its environment, but also hydrogen sulfide and carbon (and more), a large number of corpses in a small place is highly toxic and this should knock down unconscious to the ground in mere seconds anyone who dares to enter without a compressed air breathing apparatus but not in the Walking Dead universe, at least the actors had to cough, feign some physical discomfort, I don't know, drink water, rub their eyes, imagination doesn't flow in this show. The worst thing is that we see Maggie without even using oxygen once, she must be some kind of droid or superhuman, because she should be dead.

Do the writers of this show do some sort of scientific research? Really it's not that hard to pick up a chemistry and biology book, google search, read a paper, the writers of this show aren't ashamed to deal with science incorrectly or omitting and then say "this is fiction"?. Raise the quality of this show, people, please.

The best moments of this show are with Negan and the Marshal, I'm not surprised since Negan carries this show completely, every scene that Negan has or interacts with another character is interesting, and Maggie? Well, she lost her son, anyway.

Glenn's death over and over again, to the writers with respect, we're not stupid, we know that Glenn died, ok, we already know, those seconds of flashback scene were unnecessary and recycled with no purpose other than to accentuate Maggie's drama btw I'm already tired.

The deaths of Amaia and Tomasso, I wasn't even moved, was I supposed to feel something?

The Rat-Zombie King.

Underwhelming scene, Maggie and this weird zombie, it wasn't a zombie variant (btw what happened to the zombie variant that Negan and Maggie saw in the main series?), this scene feels wasted, surely TLoU will do better in its second season.

This is the penultimate episode and it feels wasted, nothing happens, it's so flat, so obvious that it will happen in the final episode next week; Maggie will betray Negan and he will stay with the Croat, surely he will have some morals conflicts that the writers will continue to milk, perhaps in the second season there will be a new war, The Saviors 2.0. More older and deprecated. And Maggie will continue with her conflicts with Hershel and trying to escape from Manhattan.

Don't say I didn't tell you, this tvshow is only for TWD fans, who don't exactly admire quality.

The Walking Dead: Welcome to the Tombs
(2013)
Episode 16, Season 3

she should have died a long time ago
This episode is really good for many reasons, but the best is the death of Andrea, horrible character who should have died at the end of season 2, Andrea was a waste of screentime, her relationship with El Gobernador was even worse for the character. Probably one of the worst characters on TWD.

It's a shame considering that in the comic Andrea was a much more intelligent, empowered woman, I think we should thank the writers who first screwed up the character and when they realized this, they just took the shortest way, kill her off.

It's something recurring in TWD writers, usually the women are like Linda Hamilton in Terminator or the victims. Shame!

The Walking Dead: Dead City: Everybody Wins a Prize
(2023)
Episode 4, Season 1

this feels stuck
Summary of this episode:

-Maggie still does the same thing, her character revolves around being annoyed at Negan and being a Lara Croft or a cute leather-clad girl in Resident Evil, well, I don't care at all.

-Negan a little stupider and more naive than the last episode, he still thinks he can trust Maggie. What happened to Negan?, he used to be a sneaky guy...bad writing. Btw, Jeffrey Dean Morgan looks really old and tired in this episode.

  • The Croat, a cartoonish villain - "NEEGHAAAAN!" -he screams, I don't need to add anything else.

  • Ginny, when will she speak?, really, when?.

The problem with this show is that it progresses at a snail's pace, the same dialogues, the same situations, and nothing really happens.

The Walking Dead: Dead City: Who's There?
(2023)
Episode 2, Season 1

Knock knock! (...) there is no one!
Watching an episode of this show is constantly thinking about: "it could have been a great episode" but in the end it wasn't.

Negan is now The Joker What have they done with Negan?, the "knock knock joke" scene was so bad, not only because it's a bad attempt to remind the "Negan show" of episode 7x01 main show, that scene was the best introduction of a villain in the tv history and compare it with what they have done in Dead City, it's a terrible reference, by the way this show is full of references, like a bad copy of the main series, I think it's time for the writers to have their own ideas. Going back to the knock knock scene, I don't know if Negan is too old but it was so easy for him killed the guy at some point I thought the guy was already a zombie, he didn't moan or fight for his life, killing in this show is so easy, the scene is so poorly executed that it just seems like a joke to me.

About Ginny, a character who feels totally unnecessary, doesn't add anything to the plot, after two episodes she's disappointing.

Maggie, well, continues in the same way, trying to pretend that Negan and her are allies when just at the end she stabbed him in the back, the twist is so obvious that one wonders how writers can be so lazy in their writing.

Armstrong (The Marshal) another unnecessary character.

The new group, they look too clean and well fed, I wonder if they are isolated for years and can't escape Manhattan, how is it possible that they are not desperate for food, water or medicine? It seems we are no longer in an apocalypse. Manhattan has all the luxuries of a great apocalyptic city, of course.

The best thing about this show is its surroundings, the landscapes, that's all.

The Walking Dead: Dead City: Old Acquaintances
(2023)
Episode 1, Season 1

Convenient Coincidences
This episode isn't fantastic and either awful but it falls into the continuous mistakes and issues of written that TWDU has accustomed us to, like

  • How Maggie knows that Negan is in the motel?, bartender hint: "a GUY killing zombies", at this point it could be anyone, everyone has killed zombies. So...

  • Why Maggie is by herself in first place?, no allies, not friends, they kidnapped her son but she is alone.

  • Maggie is easily get caught by the person in charge of the bar, and we see a fight. The problem with this scene is that it comes from an unintelligent move by Maggie (leave the door open behind her), the writers insist that Maggie's character be seen as some kind of Lara Croft or Alice Abernathy, rather than a more intelligent or cunning character.

  • Negan's getting chased by this marshals and Maggie convinces him to come along to Manhattan, with the "logic" that she can help him get away from the marshals, when in fact we see being with her makes the marshals find him more easily. So...has no sense.

The reasons why Negan should go with Maggie to Manhattan are still weak in my opinion.

  • How does Perlie Armstrong know the story of Glenn's death? Come on, Negan didn't just kill Glenn, everyone forgets Abraham, not only that, Negan did it several times, tormenting different groups of people, a he kill ramdom people, bringing this up, no makes sense.

  • We see coincidentally as Negan and Maggie are getting on the boat to cross over Manhattan and the marshals are right there, it's a BIG coincidence of the writter.

  • The conversation between Negan and Maggie on the boat: "how many husbands and fathers have you killed?". Ok, this question feels totally out of time and more after the closure that these characters had in the main show, bring these dialogues back between them, not only doesn't this make sense it is exhausting and boring. These dialogues occur throughout the 6 episodes, totally unnecessary.

  • The marshals coincidently (again) shooting a bunch of zombies and Maggie and Negan run to this building and the dumb parts this scene is: one of the marshals is eaten in a very stupid way, Perlie Armstrong shot one of his co-workers and killing him, this is the thing with Walking Dead making the antogonist looks dumb, and knowing that the zombies would enter the place, they left Armstrong lying on the ground, If Maggie didn't want to kill him in firts place, why does she leave him on the floor while a horde walks into the danm room?...gosh gimme a break!

This show has potential, great cast, performance, awesome cgi, but it all ends with bad writing, this show doesn't need to be filmed out of the woods or in another country, this show needs another direction and another showrunners.

The Walking Dead: Dead City
(2023)

The same mistakes of main series
Season 1

Dead City makes some of the main show committed too often: the fact that the season meanders between its first and last episodes a TWD staple spending too much time on characters we only just met and who feel inauthentic and unnteresting or the other fact, after 5 seasons (main series) there are still unfinished business between Maggie and Negan over Glenn's death, does this ever end?, because it is precisely the biggest problem of this series, bringing up an old topic when in the main series it was perfectly closed, this feels exhausted and boring, even the dialogues between Maggie (more annoying than before) and Negan feel anticlimactic, as if they were out of place or out of time, producing that the characters don't have any development in their relationship during the 6 episodes, with the sole intention of extending the plot for one more season, this is a fairly cheap strategy.

Fans of both Maggie and Negan will be happy to get one or more seasons, some people prefer quantity over quality and thus ruining the characters. In fact Negan's redemption arc is slightly screwed up in Dead City, I suppose that some of the most die-hard fans of the series will not care as long as they see their favorite actor.

Dead City is a show with potencial, beautiful apocalyptic landscapes, it's close to The Last of Us but it doesn't surpass it, quite an action pack, I can't deny it, but as long as it's the same puppet masters from the main series who direct this show, Dead City is doomed to make the same mistakes, unfortunately.

The Last of Us: When You're Lost in the Darkness
(2023)
Episode 1, Season 1

TLOU succeeds where The Walking Dead failed
First, I'm not a fan of the game and I have never played, so just a viewer who has been fans for years of post-apocalyptic series, I can say that this episode is the best I've seen so far, it far exceeds the pilot episode of The Walking Dead and although the comparison is inevitable.

The cinematography is beautiful, the music is sublime and the characters complete this very well written story. I didn't find moments of filler or stupid dialogues, the action scenes and dialogues are the most solid of this episode, and explains very well how the epidemic started and its possible cure. This is the most interesting

Where The Walking Dead and other series of this genre failed, The Last of Us is the master and put them to shame.

Without a doubt in the future I will follow any Craig Mazin project.

The Walking Dead: Rest in Peace
(2022)
Episode 24, Season 11

Angela Kang and her poor writing.
Angela Kang is the kind of writer who is unrealistic and afraid of criticism from her audience.

First, she brought two characters back, characters not seen since S10, Luke and Jules, only to kill them off without any context. When all the bad guys had been killed off and only Pamela was left, she killed Rosita in a heroic act, the first typical tacky in an ending. The act of self-sacrifice. Rosita was a much better character than the "coward" of Eugene, I won't forgive you for that Angela Kang.

Second, Pamela Milton, blowing her brains out in front of everyone, this would have been more realistic for a cornered politician, even Judith's words at that moment were so cheesy.

The best moments at the end were those of Aaron and Lydia, Negan and Maggie take the prize, they are a good duo, but it took too long for the writers to notice this.

I'm glad to know that Angela Kang won't be a part of the Michonne/Rick spinoff and Negan/Maggie spinoff, It is a unique opportunity for new airs, far from the corny of Angela Kang, from her happy and unrealistic endings, more in a post-apocalyptic tvshow like this.

Finally, I wouldn't be surprised if in the future, we get comments from some actors saying they're disappointed how their character ended up, plot holes (like Virgil, Oceanside...etc) how rushed it everything ended.

The Walking Dead: Family
(2022)
Episode 23, Season 11

The Walking Dead, died before of the end
Is this supposed to be a tv show about the survivors of the apocalypse, right?, because an "amazing" 23 episodes have passed and nobody dies, only the extras like a cheap movie. The last season of GoT was more daring than this mediocre show.

I could blame AMC's rock-bottom budget, which is evident in every episode, but many independent TV series and movies with much less budget than a "super production" have gone further and even won awards. I could blame the pandemic or even the actors, maybe it's a mix of everything, but it's not that, the problem is the writers.

The silly and predictable writing of each episode, such as now:

* Judith for the FIRST TIME goes with the group to finish off the drama with Pamela (the real writers reason?), so that she can get shot and thus provoque the mediocre climax moment in the episode, predictably.

* The commonwealth soldiers are incompetent throughout the whole season and specially this episode.

* The anticlimactic moment of Julie and Luke leaving the horde and smiling when they meet again with Connie and Kelly, (hey guys!! The commonwealth follows them, variant walkers and Judith injured!!) wtf that moment.

* The constant insistence on the part of Angela Kang to show Daryl as the "Bad Ass guy" the guy who "saves the day" the damn hero all the time, at the end of this season they don't even hide the favoritism with the character or actor, the truth Daryl barely speaks, I dont know why he should be so cool.

I'm fans of this series from the third season, and I just want this show end and today I realized that the series has died, not even with the return of the awesome Rick Grimes they can getting alive this series.

Positive things; The interaction of Negan and Ezekiel, Carol, Mercer.

Episode 22, Season 11

Jeffrey Dean Morgan stunning performance
I'm surprised, this was an excellent episode focused on Negan; the last few minutes, omg with Negan on his knees, sacrificing himself for others, the character certainly lives and feels a lot of guilt, assuming his sins, kept me on the edge of my chair. Jeffrey Dean Morgan's performance is awesome, this reminded me of the Here's Negan episode, AMC executives were not wrong when they decided not to kill off Negan, without a doubt the spin off Dead City will be a success.

For me this is the best episode of part 11C so far, although the writers finally began to close some plots, still questions remain. The villains in this final part are weak, I don't understand why they killed off Lance, this was a big BIG MISTAKE, Josh Hamilton would have done a very good job being the Warden.

The plot of Eugene and Yumiko never caught my attention, maybe if instead of Eugene it had been Ezekiel or Negan, this would have been more exciting.

No one has died yet and I'm not surprised, Angela Kang and Scott Gimple are afraid of killing off a character and maybe losing an audience. It seems that the purpose that Annie does not die in this episode is related only to promoting the spinoff, I guess she will be captured or Herschel.

FAITH; It comes down to that scene, where Ezequiel standing in front of the firing squad to protect Negan and Annie, Rick Grimes would certainly be very proud, I'm sure Negan was surprised, nobody had ever selflessly protected him before, the faith is about that moment, trusting something or someone despite everything. Seeing that the group, The Family, finally accept Negan as their own was exciting.

Honorable mention; Ezekiel (Khary Payton), this character at the end of the season must be a leader of the commonwealth or one of the communities, if this doesn't happen I will be very dissapointed.

10/10.

Episode 21, Season 11

recycled writing
Angela Kang: How many times will Negan have to ask in his dialogue to "put our differences aside and work together"?

Because there are 15 more characters there and I wonder if Negan will have to do the same with each of them. Absurd. It's been more than 10 years of the war with the Saviors, but the writers seem to use this strategy with Negan, everyone is still angry with him, the criminal blah blah blah and the eternal search for redemption by him, it seems to be the only interest of the writers with the character. I thought that in this part of the arc where Negan doesnt appear in the comic they would do much more with the character, more interesting, but with this recycled story, Negan feels like a filler character this is already exhausting.

This episode is focused on Maggie, but it really is only for Maggie fans because if there is not emotional drama apart from that she has nothing to contribute to the plot, such as her relationship with Negan.

Again nothing about the walker variant, Oceanside, Virgil, Dianne, etc. Nobody really important dies on this episode, i don't sit on the edge of the abyss, you know the worry of losing an main character or excited to watch another episode, I'm done with The Walking Dead.

Episode 20, Season 11

Winter is Coming
One thing is certain, much better when in an episode we see characters like Carol, Negan and Daryl, everything is different and in this episode the most interesting thing was the plot of Carol, Daryl and Lance (a character that they shouldn't killed so soon, big mistake).

The plot of Eugene and Yumiko isn't that interesting although the actress is excellent.

About the new variant of walkers, nothing is happen about that (another missed opportunity). The writers keep telling us the stories like this was an usual season, slow plots, eternal cliffhangers (Virgil, Luke, Jules, Ocenside).

The worst thing is that they have only killed the bad guys this season, all the Reapers, Sebastian, Lance, secondary characters like Alden and Marco that I personally didn't care about, it seems that the writers are saving everything for last, the big explosion you know the shocking moment but nothing surprise you (WINTER IS COMING) and without a doubt one or two characters will die, I hope it makes sense, because if this was episode 20 and nothing really happened, not even the CRM, the end will be a bitter pill of pure disappointment, maybe in the end we will conclude that the story of the reapers was wasteful, the commonwealth arc is weak, and of course, if this is the episode and nothing really interesting happens, I doubt that the writers will give us a satisfying ending.

F. Darabont you can laugh now
We're constantly talking to a friend about what The Walking Dead could be and won't be. I have a feeling that the writers have the same feeling, they have resorted to the old plot of the first season, nostalgic, the variant walkers, but it's nothing new, they have publicized this as something new but for the true fans of this series, we know that it is totally false. I will tell you what happens next, these variant walker will run and take weapons, they will attack our heroes and that's it, too obvious?

What is the point of the new walkers?

Not only to introduce the new spin offs of the franchise but to strengthen the weak arc of the commonwealth, and this is what is disappointing, it seems that the writers are afraid to kill a main character, absoluty. This episode is a story around Eugene and the plot of the commonwealth, and the variant walkers are just decoration, this episode seems more like a filler episode of the first season, Darabont now you can laugh and I with you.

The Walking Dead is in free falling, dying and without any dignity.
