Dirty John
(2018)

Great story, painful acting
Binged season 1 in two days because the story was so interesting, but it was really hard to watch Connie Britton. She always seemed stoned and emotionless. A successful entrepreneur wouldn't be that passive. Jean Smart's character was also difficult to believe. Veronica was over the top. Eric Bana was really the only believable character. I've heard the podcast is more true to character.

I Know This Much Is True

I don't understand the good reviews
This series is incredibly depressing and really difficult to watch. Spoiler alert: I stopped watching after they drowned the monkey. Really not necessary. That was almost the last episode so I've suffered through enough dark depressing scenes. I'm not looking for humor and happiness but it was just too much. The book was really good. The series is not.

Yellowstone
(2018)

Is any character likeable?
Just finished season one and while I find it interesting, there is not a single likeable character (ok, maybe Monica). It's hard for me to stay engaged with the series when I don't really care about what happens to anyone. Not sure if season two is worth the time or money.

American Crime Story
(2016)

Season 2 is good but too much conjecturepresented as history
My only complaint about Season 2 is that there is to much conjecture about Cunanan's relationship with his some of his victims. We see an entire episode about him traveling with David, conversations they have, David's reluctance to escape...no one but Andrew and David knows what really happened in the apartment or the days following, or what conversations took place. Maybe Cunanan had a gun on him the entire time. Same with Miglin and the discussions about his Space Needle, or Miglin willingly allowing Cunanan to tape him up. Things may have in fact been very different.

The Kominsky Method
(2018)

Goes downhill fast
The first episode was promising, but it has deteriorated into tired bathroom jokes and painful formula comedy. Alan Arkin is great but Michael Douglas overdoes it, My mom likes it though, so maybe it's better suited for seniors.
