Letterkenny
(2016)

Newly discovered- Slapstick Comedy
I just discovered this gem of aslapstick comedy on my HULU recommendations.... And what the living hell!?! I've been laughing 🤣😁, repeating lines, laughing some more, shaking my head and praying for my soul. This series is a must see to dispel any blues, blahs and blubbers. Comedy series are not my normal must-see genre but Letterkenny is a golden exception. In binge mode and already on season three. The characters are unique, quirky and crazy. The character Gail is vomit gross in her funny pervy way. 🤣

Leavenworth
(2019)

Eyes Wide Open Eyes Wide Shut
Powerful. Enlightening. Sad. Raw. Truth. Shocking. Revealing. Thought Provoking. Educational.

Swelter
(2014)

Swelter is good!
Not sure why the low ratings. Swelter is a fun, western type film with all the fixins... shady reverend, town drunk, desert heat, thirsty females, town idiots, poor economy, bad guys and of course the sheriff. And add in top notch actors Jean-Claude, Alfred Molina, Lennie James & Grant Bowler. I loved seeing Tracey Walter again too! Swelter is cool with a decent storyline that'll keep the viewer interested. I'm glad it was on my Prime recommendation list. Excellent!

Guns Akimbo
(2019)

Great Action Funny Movie
Guns Akimbo is hella funny, full of great action scenes, thrills and foul mouth script. A fun movie to watch. The soundtrack is epic and will have you singing along. Loved this movie. Worth watching many times. Daniel Radcliffe is excellent. Think Pulp Fiction and Quentin Tarrantino meets Boy Wonder. Awesome film.

The Lovebirds
(2020)

Hilarious 😂
The Lovebirds is hilarious! Great comedy, hella funny, superb acting and actors and well written storyline. Most def a 10 for comedy and soundtrack!

Hangman
(2017)

Al Pacino rocks!
Hangman is a psychological thriller filled with intrigue, mystery, action and hold your breath moments. Al Pacino is a much older man and his signature swag is still evident in his senior years. Karl Urban is a great actor and plays the hardened tough detective effortlessly. There's a cliffhanger that makes me wonder if there will be a Hangman II. 🤞

Rugal
(2020)

Rugal is legit!
First episode in and I'm already hooked! Action, passion, good cop versus criminal lord/empire, and vengeance makes for a great storyline. Use closed captions, binge & enjoy.. unless you understand the Korean language. Once again Netflix you came through!

Running with the Devil
(2019)

Not perfectly written but perfectly acted out. Fishburne, Cage and Hauser are great!
Worth watching! You can't go wrong with Fishburne, Cage and Hauser to breathe life into a story that's based on true events. It's no secret that the war on drugs was a shallow front. Street & pharmaceutical drugs, disease, and war is a worldwide money making franchise. The trickle DOWN effect is: functioning addicts in the home; homeless addicts zombied out in the streets; violent crime increase; pharmaceutical companies continue to create disease/illness through medicinal side effects and withhold real cures; communities & families dissolve daily; and young soldiers/law enforcement lose their lives as collateral damage. The rising UP effect is: the wealthiest stay behind the scene and earn billions of dollars; the powerful stay powerful; and the world's 1% stay on top. To quote the frequent question asked in the film, "where does it end?" This is a film has well known actors that infuse talent and life into the plot and definitely gives the viewer something to think about. #RunningWithTheDevil #TheCook #TheMan #TheExecutioner

Redcon-1
(2018)

Surprising & unexpected decent zombie film
Okay, I was not expecting a zombie film with a storyline that was actually good and has heart. I mean, initially it starts off like the average end of the world, doom & annihilation but as the film progressed, the storyline revealed itself moreso and had my undivided attention. All the actors are good, especially the young girl that played Alicia and the gentleman that played the Captain. The film is worth watching and halfway through the pace picks up and you'll find yourself cheering and/or crying. Unexpected good film.

Mo'Nique & Friends: Live from Atlanta
(2020)

Great Show! Monique & Friends are foolz😁
It is a hilarious wonderful moment when platinum stars uplift others and give them a platform to shine. #Showtime thank you for hitting #therealmonique up and giving her a special! I loved every minute. Each comedian was funny and there is no doubt we'll see more of them over the years on many stages. #DonnellRawlings is a fool and had me crying from laughing so hard. And, #MoNique brought IT! She is hilarious and threw funny shade. She's a real one and she was/is incredible. #Showtime, you know a good thing when you see it....You called #MoNique. So glad she answered! #MoNiqueandFriendsLivefromAtlanta

Sleeper Cell
(2005)

Sleeper Cell most def NOT a sleeper
Sleeper Cell is a phenomenal series! The storyline, edge of your seat plot, the action scenes, the cinematography, the locations and the A+ acting from an all star cast is 100 percent superb. I enjoyed binging seasons one and two thoroughly. I wish there were more seasons of Sleeper Cell or a remake in the works. The only negative about the series that I have is about the actress Melissa Sagemiller. Her acting is disjointed and ill-at-ease. She played the character Gayle. I'm not sure why the writer's wrote in a love interest but it was an epic fail. The role and the actress Melissa were unnecessary. That aside, the series is an incredible series and understandably a recipient of many nominations and winner of awards. 9 stars for excellence!

Doom: Annihilation
(2019)

Doomed from watching this Doom film
I enjoy the Doom franchise films until today. Doom: Annihilation lacks action. The scenes were painfully slow, full of monotonous talking and no consistent storyline. Overall, this Doom addition is a let down in my humble opinion.

Into the Badlands
(2015)

Into the Badlands is Badassery! ☺
You either love it or hate it. I have loved 'Into the Badlands' since its first season. Full of amazing choreography, juicy story line, phenomenal actors that played unique characters and beautiful cinematography. Yes, the fight scenes were over the top and that's what made the fight scenes so amazing & exciting to watch. The Badlands is in the sci-fi genre. Fantasy, magic, spirits and over the top fight scenes, makes it a perfect fit. The series finale did me in. What a GREAT way to close out the series! I cried and cheered through most of the finale. Incredibly well written and offers some closure that will please most long-time fans of the series. I will miss the series. I really hope AMC/Netflix will continue their collab and write another new & exciting series or find a way to reintroduce Into the Badlands into the next apocalyptic era. In my opinion, Into the Badlands started out great and ended great.

Michelle Wolf: Joke Show
(2019)

Not Family Friendly- 100% AWESOME SHOW
I watched Michelle Wolf's Joke Show on Netflix. So glad I did! She's incredible. Her show hits on sensitive subjects, politics, taboo topics and it's wonderful. She's vulgar and it rocks! Her delivery, timing, shrill voice and laughter keeps the show hella fun and flowing. She's relatable, risky and raw. Michelle Wolf is the cousin you love to hate AND secretly admire. Looking forward to her next show.

6 Underground
(2019)

A Michael Bay film equals greatness
Pure adrenaline pulsating action! Every bit of this film was on point! The panoramic views and backdrops, the soundtrack, the plot and best of all a 100 percent stellar main cast! I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Ryan Reynolds is spot on as his usual funny awesome self, Corey Hawkins brought his A game and the rest of the cast are phenomenal too. Be prepared to laugh. The one liners are gut busting. The action scenes worthy of rewinding several times to watch again and again. Characters One, Two, Three, Four, Five and Seven are pure gold and work together in harmony. Michael Bay didn't disappoint. Great film! Most def 10 stars and then some!

V-Wars
(2019)

Hook line and sinker! 🎣
Omgeee, first episode📺 in and I'm hooked🎣. Like I don't want to go to bed hooked! But I just gotta go to sleep 😴, I just gotta! First episode gets right to the point, has plenty of action, has great artistic makeup, a stellar cast, and a solid plot. Six minutes remaining in the episode and my heart is beating 💕fast in anticipation. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday. I'll be binging this weekend, totally against my will, of course. 🤣 I will update my review afterwards. #IanSomehalder #AdrianHolmes 🦇 #VWars

Queen Boss
(2017)

Boss Maker!
Just discovered this little gem on Pluto TV and it's really good. Not flashy or over the top. It's grit, guidance from business game changers like Tracy Edmonds, Lauren Lake, Lisa and Vanessa. The contestants are receptive to learning all that they can. Show started in 2017, but because I've never seen it before; it's brand new to me!

Mortel
(2019)

Not your average heroes
Mortal is a strange kinda super power series and I love it! The teen characters are unique, strong, endearing, fun and crazy. The writers may have written a teen focused script on a high school campus but adults will enjoy this series too! The adult characters round the series out. The voodoo grandma is hella funny with her craft. Main characters Sofiane and Victor take the cake. Polar opposites but their relationship/friendship is interesting to watch evolve as they discover their respective powers and emotional balance. The evil character Obe is interesting. More like unique. The eyewear worn looks more like frames with fire coils for lenses. I had no intention of binging this Netflix series but I was hooked. The series highlights a lot of the confusion, emotional turmoil and rollercoaster decisions that is representative of the teen years. In the final episode there is redemption, healing, resolve & forgiveness. There's also closure of old wounds and the start of new beginnings. The hallway scene between Luisa and Victor is exquisite sweet perfection. The moment is mind blowing. Worthy of a cigarette 🚬 afterwards. A solid series well written. 10 stars for creativity, great cast, action and storyline.

Earthquake Bird
(2019)

Slowly but surely...... Pay attention. Earthquake Bird is worth it👏
Like a pot of tea, Earthquake Bird started out very slow and with each scene ripple upon ripple intensified to a boiling climax. Earthquake Bird is a psychological thriller with betrayal sorrow, guilt and anxiety interwoven. Alicia Vikander's acting is superb. Her theatrical presence & talents allows the viewer to almost feel her character Lucy's ever present anxiety and fragile emotional balance. Naoki Kobayashi is supreme in his role bringing to life the character of Teiji who reveals himself and nature through granite facial features. The era of the film (1980s) was well done. The music, dancing, hairstyle and fashions was like being in a time machine. At times the cinematic views were breathtaking. Earthquake Bird is a well done intense psychological thriller. A slow burn to a full on fire. No disappointments here. A dynamic film.

Submission
(2019)

Great fim with life learned lessons
I decided to Blackbear on Netflix. So glad I did. A film involving military honor and MMA fighting is a powerful combination. Blackbear is an excellent film and family friendly. The script is well written and the actors brought life to their respective roles and to the screen. The soundtrack is notable with the sounds of NF adding lyrical punch to the scenes. As the end scene played out, I recognized the familiar voice of real life pastor John Gray. The combination of great acting, strong script and good soundtrack makes Blackbear a good film to watch. 10 stars 🌟 for script, acting, family friendliness and no nudity.

The Feed
(2019)

The Feed incites hunger for more!🙂
Okay, so last night, I decided to watch this new series called The Feed on Amazon Prime. WTHeck! It's flat out ExCELLENT! Script, acting, edge of your seat action and suspense, The Feed has it all! It reminds me of the series Humans to the 100th power. The acting is superior. Each actor brings their A game to the screen and it shows. Watching the last episode now and wondering.... hoping for a season 2. If not, all I can say is well done and worth binging!🙌

TKO
(2007)

KissAssery Film
Not too bad storyline, somewhat decent acting...BUT THE ACTION! THAT'S WHAT I LIKE and TKO delivered. Not crazy leaping off walls but good flesh to flesh fighting.

Street Warrior
(2008)

Solid decent film! Good TV
Great storyline, known actors and some bloody gorey good fighting. Worth a watch if you're into underdogs, martial arts, bad guy and a decent plot. Not a blockbuster for the big screen but great for the television 📺 screen. And the lead character totally rocks in all his roles! HooRah!

Champion Road: Arena
(2010)

Excellent fighting
Just like the first Champion Road film, this one: Champion Road Arena was excellent. Great storyline. What I enjoy most is the fighting. It's not over the top with fighters flying unrealistically through the skies; it's straight grit street fighting with various styles of mix martial arts and boxing. 🥊Love it.👏 Without being a spoiler, I was surprised and sad about the ending and the loss of a particular character. Leaves me to wonder if there's a third installment and who the additional characters will be. Definitely worth watching and enjoyable if you like fight movies🎥.

Ca$h
(2010)

Mo M$ney, Mo Problems
I enjoyed the hell out of this movie!🤣 Granted the premise for the film is crazy unrealistic but Sean Bean and Chris Hemsworth pulled it off. It's an action film but not like Terminator action but enough action thrills to keep the viewer watching. More than anything, this film is funny. The funny lines with Sean and Chris delivery was spot on and at times found myself laughing out loud.🤣 Definitely a film worth watching. Not a blockbuster type film but definitely enjoyable.
