Worst feel good movie out there
Quite honestly, I am a conservative person and enjoy Christian based/feel good movies from time to time. This movie happens to be the bottom of the barrel. 1st off, it shows a 30 something aged teacher who is a marathon runner with severe heart and knee issues "claiming" That God gave him a special gift of running and that he needs to push through and push off a knee surgery and the possibility of dying just to make a run across the country. Secondly, he puts his wife and children completely aside for his selfish undertaking of this marathon And then tells his wife that he met a Russian that doesn't believe in God and he now has the ability to teach him about God as they run together.

Both wife and children had a full summer vacation lined up to enjoy time together/ memories and was completely thrown out the window so the husband can do what he feels that he wants to do selfishly.

Whoever wrote this either interpreted the Bible wrong, believes that all women and children should be subservient to the patriarchal father and that if the father figure feels inspired to do something, he can throw out all disregard for his family's feelings to Chase his wild ideas.

My thoughts are that the writer doesn't even understand the Idea of a family unit with proper and healthy communication/boundaries And how they should all work collectively together on aspects of creating memories and sharing experiences.

I wouldn't even share this movie with my worst enemy. This does nothing but continue to push women aside and let men be selfish at whatever pursuits they feel are necessary, all the while stating that God gave him the ability and calling to can do so. This movie should literally be pulled off the shelves.

Lastly, I'm a 41 year old male and I believe in traditional, family values but nothing near or pathetic as this!
