Fantastic actors, especially Amanda. A tender film about finding a new relationship to Life and people in general and family especially.

Beautiful camera work and inventive script IMO.

This is a little masterpiece IMO. It almost feels like a documentary film, everything is like Life: unpredictable, hard, painful but also beautiful. Clémence Boisnard is a sensation, she plays so believable, but the other actress was great too. The director should be much more famous because she did a wonderful job(!). Merci

For the first 55 minutes or so I would have given it a 9 because it has a very very good suspense. You ask yourself "what the f... ist going on here"? It is the kind of movie where mystery and thrill build up perfectly, very good, nearly perfect, and as the mysteries are solved you maybe are a little bit disappointed. Again, filmmakers do a great job and the director should be watched closely, he knows how to do a great movie.... Story is less brilliant IMO

Haven't read the book. Like others wrote it's a movie about class and positive and mean personalities. Excellent camera work, good performance of Bill Nighy, very good performance of Ms. Mortimer and the 13 year old girl. The relationship between Mortimer/Nighy and especially the End of the relationship was too melodramatic in my view, but that must be the book. Maybe the movie could have been even better with reducing it to 90 Minutes or so - I think it is a little bit too slow IMO

Only have Seen Episode 3 and 4 on German Television. The Rating is top Low IMO. Many extrem Low Ratings (1or 2 Stars) are not fair, because obvious older people (Parents?) Cannot Accept the Situation. But it ist a Comedy,so so Not Take IT seriously, there is a Lot to laugh about and Heart warming stuff too. Oscar night Episode was funny and the imaginary Girl in the next Episode was'nt stupid, so go on watching

I have never, i repeat never read so much idiotic Reviews than Here. I guess that 99 per Cent of the 1 or 2 Star Reviews hate the ending. But this is a movie, a Work of fiction. Please judge the quality of acting, Direction, Script, camera Work etc. Which deserves a 8 or more IMO. Its NOT a judgement about the decision that Helen Mirren s Charakter Makes in the end of the movie.

This is filmed in a very documentary style:

mainly about loneliness you get also a strong Impression about the economic circumstances of "small" People in todays Greece. Excellent actors + directing + camera-work
