This movie was hot garbage, no one can act, especially Gina. All the decisions made no sense, the script felt like it was written by child after watching a Tarantino film for the first time.

Why did I watch this? It had a ton of positive reviews, it's gotten to the point that IMDB is not a reliable rating source for newly released movies.

It's not really their fault, it's got to be bots or some one shilling for the daily wire, it's pathetic.

The story is a complete muddled mess, the acting is terrible and it almost seems like they forgot to put scenes in to explain things because entire plot points are just forgotten or ignored.

But the gore and effects are quite good, very gross and over the top.

My two favorite horror movies of all time are Martyrs and À l'intérieur ( the original, not the hot garbage U.S remake obviously ) if you love these movies than I guarantee Ghostland will be a new favorite.

Pascal Laugier is such a talented director, I wish he made more movies.

Right off the bat, the very first few lines of the movies is the mother telling her 40 year old daughter to get up for work and that she needs to find a man to take care of her.

The next scene is a montage of the most stereotypical and offensive portrayal of men I have seen in a long time.

The entire movie is a parody, the fact that the people that made the movie actually believe that this how people act in real life scares the crap out of me.

Every single person in this movie is a terrible human being, even the protagonist is an unlikable, ignorant woman which clearly stems from bad parenting.

Also, the ages make no sense

Grandfather = 75

Mom = ?

Daughter = 40

other daughter = 17 or 18 ( she is in high school i'm assuming from the conversation at the beginning of the movie)

The mom has to be at least 60, but her dad is 75?.

Or the mom had a child when she was about 15 and than had another child when she was around 43?

I don't know, F@#% this movie.

I don't even know who this movie is for, it's themes are more directed to an older crowd but the dumb jokes and simple writing is geared more towards children.

First off, this is a story that has been done many times before and done much better than this lazy crap.

One of the biggest problems is that David A.R white is a terrible and unfunny actor, director and writer.

They start by trying to show just how overworked Rich is, he is sleeping in his office, drinking Pepto and alka-seltzer and forgetting what day it is.

The office is crazy, paperwork everywhere, bills all over the place, you would think he is some sort of alchoholic business man but nope he is a @#$&ing pastor.

They don't justify anything he is going through, showing him drinking Alka Seltzer is supposed to be enough.

His wife is a stereotype, the kids are a stereotype and this movie is the ultimate white Christian fantasy.

The problems in this movie are not problems, the idea that the Christian god has to intervene in these petty and simple issues is just ridiculous and frankly kind of sad.

This is another movie I just watched on my journey through the best and worst religious cinema.

This movie just doesn't make much sense on the message that they were trying to convey.

Sure, it makes sense that an extremely religious man from 1890 with only the knowledge of that era and the lack of a proper education would find 2002 pretty messed up.

But, this is not a fish out of water comedy, I don't even know what the hell this is, half the movie is just straight up preaching which is not even relevant to the theme of the film.

These Christiano brothers need to stop making movies, this was not a movie this was a terribly acted propaganda piece that was a "movie" in name only.

I honestly wish I had more to say about this but since it was clearly just cheap attempt to get people to watch a sermon all I can say is f**k this propaganda and f**k everyone involved with it.

I will say that the wheelbarrow handles that they tried to pass off as fancy lever handles was pretty funny....... other than that stay away from this garbage.

I watched this movie for a podcast that reviews religious movies, most up until now, although terrible have at least been somewhat entertaining.

This piece of crap was so boring, so poorly written and acted that I nearly crapped myself when I saw it had a 5.4 IMDb score.

Stephen Baldwin, much like Kevin Sorbo is a born again Christian that has some how created a caricature in their heads of what an atheist is and for some reason people encourage them to make films about this delusion.

At least Kevin Sorbo can somewhat act, Stephen Baldwin looks and sounds like a bloated wooden whale corpse that smoked way too much weed and is totally trying to pretend that he is not high but everyone knows he is and just humors him because of how sad his career and acting ability has become.

Don't watch this crap, it is insulting to everyone and I hope every person involved with this is ashamed of themselves.
