Can't complain, but don't love, but very cute
It's been a while since I watched this show. So it's not with a fresh memory. Maybe it was 2 months or 3 months ago, I'm not sure? I really think that just looking back on it I'm not loving the memories. I somehow just don't like the environment and atmosphere? Like the friends and family of the female lead and her abode weren't leaving strong impressions for me to want to go back and watch it again or anything like that. And the buildup of the plot was kind of slow and meandering at times. But I really like the plot and the interactions between the male lead and the female lead. It's very cool to see how they grow together and how they overcome their obstacles. And the premise of the show is very interesting and unique. It's a very cute show in a way. I'm pretty sure if you watched it you would be entertained. It's about someone who has a curse and she needs to have the curse lifted. She accidentally activated the curse from it's dormant stage and now has to break it.

Cute, but a little slow and boring
It has a cool set of male and female characters. It was a serendipitous blend of friends and relationships that merge together. The plot was kind of interesting but if it was condensed into four episodes. The thing is 35 episodes and it was very dragging and slow to me.

The other thing that made it a little hard for me to watch was the dialogue. I didn't like the things the female lead said most of the time when it was basic, non important conversations. Kind of just chatting type conversation. It seemed too facetious and weird humor. Borderline confrontational all the time. It just made me not feel relaxed even though it was supposed to be kind of a relaxing show because there's drama but it's not overly intense.

There's a lot about their careers too and how they are managing their businesses and personal careers and that blends with the plot a lot when it comes to their romance relationships.

The main character is a reporter and she's a finance reporter reporting on an investment company. She ends up dating the lead.

The lead is male romance seems kind of very cold and distant and stoic and it's hard to know what's happening with the plot because of that. It builds up mystery and suspense because he's so stoic at first.

Don't understand the emotions and don't care about characters
I don't hate it. It's not exactly boring. It has a good flow and ebb even though it goes back and forth in time. But, I don't care about the characters. It's like a person coming to you and telling you a story and you couldn't care less. Like you are standing in line at the checkout and the customer in line with you tells you about all their grand kids and they go on and on about useless details that you don't care about. It's like, thank you for sharing.

Then, the characters show emotions and opinions sometimes that's hard for me to understand or relate to. It makes me think they are silly and it also makes me not care.

It's like when a little kid you are baby sitting, a toddler, has a tantrum over something silly like their ice cream is melting. It's like, okay, strange kid with the strange tantrum. Moving on.

That's what this movie felt like to me. It was weird. If you subtract that the main characters were good looking, let's say they were ugly, it would be more noticable to see that they are weird. And I don't care about the plot or the characters.

The female lead seems to want to be with a guy based on who's the better tennis player? That's really bizarre to me.

The two best friends stopped being friends over a girl, but it wasn't the most obvious falling out over the girl. It was just a strange falling out. Because it seemed to me the cheater or the one trying to break them up was the angry one. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I didn't understand the ending either? Who won the match?

Why was the female lead so willingly to be unfaithful and back and forth over nothing? It's just weird.

The characters had no personality to me. It was just kind of seeing relationships not founded on anything that I could see other than attraction based on shallowness.

The main female lead seems very unsupportive and not understanding which is odd given she's in serious relationships. Why would you want to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't support you or care about you? It's odd. She's just amazing because she's thin and toned is what I can gather.

Moral Dilemma aspect not unique to k dramas
I watch mostly Korean Dramas, but I have watched Chinese and Japanese Drama series too. People are saying it's fresh and unique and investigates moral dilemmas with murder. I don't think it's that fresh and unique in that aspect. I feel from the dramas that I watched that Chinese culture is more of a justice culture. And Korean Culture is more of mercy culture. This whole show is gathering mercy for a criminal based on excuses and circumstances and the people that got hurt had it coming. I actually see this mercy mindset a lot in Korean Dramas. In Korean Dramas, it's like poor baby serial killer, you were abused as a child and the guy you killed was a major jerk anyway. It's too mercy and excuses mindset in Korean dramas. I kind of prefer the Chinese mindset of Justice and no excuses. I realized from watching the same exact drama, the Chinese Version was Because of Meeting you and the Korean Version of the same drama Jang Bo Ri is here.--I realized that excuses are excuses and right is right and wrong is wrong from watching both versions of this show. The Korean version made me feel sorry for the villains and side with them more because I knew their excuses. But, the Chinese one, I saw how what they did was wrong no matter. I started to realize you can't pay attention to excuses. Anyway, I got side tracked, but I am trying to explain that the moral dilemma isn't unique and I see it a lot in Korean dramas.

Another issue is that Netflix needs a better rating system. They have TV MA, and I don't hardly see anything TV MA in a certain drama. Seems really PG kosher to me. Then another TV MA show will be a bit much. I prefer Korean shows partially because they are so G rated, even their Netflix TV MA are that way despite the label. However, this show truly TV MA. It's got a lot of cursing, blood and gore, and one sex scene with full nudity. That's rare for Korean dramas. The last one is.

A lot of the people in this show are just really mean and horrible. I don't understand how the main character can handle being around so many dirt bags such horrible people. To me, I found it hard to believe a world where people were so mean. It made the show off putting.

I prefer my G rated, beautiful, cute Korean Dramas. I don't appreciate the moral dilemma because of seeing it so much already and already preferring the Chinese mindset that I see in their Dramas instead.

The show was a little messy and hard to follow towards the middle of it. A little too boring as well. It had an interesting beginning, with the first 2 episodes. But, as the show went on, I wasn't liking the plot direction as much.

I will say it is unique in the way the main character is portrayed, or not portrayed. It's like he's such a loser that you don't even make a connection to him. I think it's that way on purpose. He barely talks or makes eye contact. Looks scruffy and like he lacks confidence to get a style.

The plot, especially in the beginning feels very unique too. I guess it's unique later on as well, but it's just not vibing with me.

If you like a lot of violence, lots of cursing, really mean people, and bad cops, and a main character that does bad things but it's a "unique" moral dilemma, then this show is for you.

It is unique plot wise and progression wise and also how the characters are presented. So, I will give it that.

Dune: Part Two
(2024)

Too much copying of the Middle East
My perspective so you understand my review better:

I'm American, from New York originally. Too poor right now or ever to leave the country! I haven't watched the other Dune movies. And haven't read the Dune books. I'm also shallow. I don't watch horror because the monsters are ugly and I don't want to look at it. But, I can read horror books. No visuals. If I were to write a horror screenplay. I'd write a beautiful monster.

Okay my review:

I watched a Brazilian soap opera called O Clone. Many of the main characters in that soap were Muslim. They were beautiful. Especially when not in public, because, hello modesty! So, I can understand Muslims and different ethnicities such as the Arabs, Persians, Urdu, Igbo, etc can be beautiful people with beautiful costumes and customs and buildings. At least in a Brazilian soap opera!!

Why do I bring this up?

Well, I'm glad you asked!

This Dune movie seems to be a Muslim knock off.

I may be an American bumkin who hasn't left the country but, I have heard Arabic, I have heard of the words Makdi and Jin and know what they mean. I know how religious people dress.

This movie copied it all!! Along with other Muslim references.

And I'm sorry to be so simple and shallow. But this movie has ugly protagonists people in sad, ugly outfits. They have ugly villain people in sad, ugly outfits.

They have ugly buildings. They have ugly sand dunes. An ugly dessert.

Even annoying background classical music the whole time. I'm not sure what kind of classical music that is. Too dramatic what ever it is.

I mean the cinematography is impressive and I get how someone can think it's classy looking for that reason.

I mean the movie is too much of a Muslim copying knock off and so it's hard for me to get over that. It just makes it too uncreative. And, I don't know if I'd be offended if I were Muslim or not. But, in my Brazilian Soap Opera there was more respect for them and humanity in them. A picture of a people with a life and a soul and a rich culture was shown.

Visually, and culturally it's offensive. But, not only that, the copying of the plot religious wise is offensive too!! I mean the plot makes too many references to religious prophecies and predictions and it's offensive because it's just not right to exploit something holy like that. Not just prophecies but even prayer customs.

And these fake Muslims are at war with another people. And their holy war and struggles in this movie seems really offensive to me too. I mean, they are making cinema and entertainment of the struggles of middle easterners and Africans? I don't know how to think of this.

This movie tries to act emotional and show their struggles but it seems to make everyone a caricature rather than a real people with a soul and life.

The movie is really a one note plot too. It's like overly milking the lead up to war and figuring out all that.

I don't understand why they have so many sword fights in advanced technology societies.

They show sand. And underground tunnels or rooms? I'm not even sure. I need a map. I wish the movie showed architecture or cities or something. I just saw and scenes with a lot of people. Not able to gain a sense of what this world is.

Well anyway, dramatic music, cinematography and serious war conversations aside, it's hard for me to take this movie seriously because of everything that I mentioned.

This movie has high reviews because it seems people are simps for high, intense, over drama cinamentography and over the top emotional war drama it seems.

And it's forever long. And drags on that one note forever!

Somehow missed, not sure why but my guesses
This movie was two hours long and twenty minutes?

Somehow that's not enough time to explain the movie.

1) What the main characters' life was like, what her family and friends were like. Just her life, home, an atmosphere to absorb, etc. I think this movie would have done better and meant much more if we had a more intimate setup to relate to and care about and understand the main character.

2) Then, this movie wasn't an obvious comedy to me. But, I think it was going for a campy, silly feel of sorts in a round about way. Some like the humor and fun. I think there is a time and place for that. I believe this movie would have done better if it was more emotionally gripping and serious after introducing the main character's like in more intimate detail. Which they didn't do. This character's life could have been fuel for a more sentimental, serious and emotional movie. I think it would have worked better.

3) The plot wasn't very clear until way far into the movie. It was just kind of a lot happening and not really understanding why or vaguely understanding why that was. It made the movie less interesting and kind of weird to watch. A better build up or explanation of the plot would have helped earlier on. It's like watching a game without knowing who is playing. It makes it less interesting. Many fight scenes for some vague unknown reason.

I think the plot premise and characters offers a very interesting set up for a movie. This movie had a lot of potential.

The scenes even. Different rooms, different villains, different environments, etc. They were cool looking and had potential. But, it was too shallow without depth so it didn't develop any layers to make the cool looking scenes more impactful.

There were almost touching or cool moments between main characters but without the proper buildup or development to it, the mark was missed.

I believe this movie would make a very good book, something that has time to give the emotional buildup and background to it.

There maybe just wasn't time in this movie for it. Maybe this movie would have been better as three movies. A movie with two sequels. And I say it would have hit better as a serious and emotional movie. But, I can think of Adam Sandler's movie Fifty First Dates that had the emotional depth and the humor. Maybe they could have gotten the people who wrote that movie to balance emotions that are serious and humor.

Not an annoying musical
Some musicals are just cringe and boring. But, this movie's songs weren't very long. Each song didn't over stay it's welcome. The singing was very good and the lyrics were really good.

The story isn't what I expected. It's kind of an origin story in a way.

I was inspired by what drove him to want to share chocolate.

The story was very captivating despite knowing it's the same formula that I see in Korean dramas that makes them so captivating.

The Korean romance drama set up which is the same as this movie--is this: (Though there's no romance in this movie.) There's a really poor person or people very down on their luck. Something injustice happens to them. They find ways to get success.

It draws you in because you feel bad about the character and are routing for them from the beginning.

I've seen this formula many times watching Korean romance dramas. This movie's take on this formula is very creative.

The magic and thinking behind how things come forth and are put together is very cool and interesting.

The villains really create conflict end interest too.

I liked the looks the antique old English aesthetics of the movie..

The missing family members made it more interesting.

Side characters had a romance of sorts but not the main characters.

Very unique and atmospheric
This movie had a very spooky and creepy ambiance. And it was very confusing but it was fun the main characters' perspective so it made you understand how she felt which in turn made you understand how the underdog felt because the main character finally understood the underdog.

It's not just a movie about fear but about gaining empathy for other people and understanding.

This movie had a lot of twists and turns and kept you guessing as to what was really happening.

The acting and emotion was really well done. And it was truly giving horror film feelings even if it wasn't that scary. It was kind of scary and better than most horrors in a way. But it's not a typical horror film. It's more of an artistic film.

It was really good and very interesting and had a lot of buildup and interesting points. I find know why people are saying it's boring and predictable. It's very unique and interesting.

I think that maybe they are saying that because it's very much from one person's perspective and though there's interactions with other characters or still feels like a one woman show. It might lack a sense of domino back and forth with other characters. I mean, it does have that, but it's not to the focal point. I don't know how to explain.

Very Classic Super Hero Show
This show has the vibe of a classic, campy, traditional super hero show. It really does have like a classic 1980s or 1990s or 1950s super hero vibe. Down to the lex Luther type villain, the mad scientist type invention and labs. The rich characters with the gadgets. Even the interesting locations with grand architecture.

The main character acted too happy and loud. I guess it's okay. Made her less believable to me. The mother seemed too wealthy which seems unrealistic but it makes the show interesting.

I'm getting sick of how someone has to be a very rich CEO in every Korean drama.

The evil villain was raised badly, so I felt bad for him..I wish he could have been reformed.

I didn't feel like watching a show about drugs. I almost quit the show when I realized that's what it was about. But, I kept with it.

I didn't like how the grandma hurt her husband. He did wrong but that was just too much of an injury.

I don't like how the mom is encouraging her daughter to jump in bed with a new guy. It's odd.

Overall I the the vibe of the show but, don't take it seriously because of you do you probably won't like it.

Very interesting
It was interesting to see a fictional kingdom that had architecture that I don't know much about. And a king and queen and a village with traditions I didn't know much about. It was an interesting premise. I wish there was more back story and explanations. The movie could have been longer I feel and it would have been interesting to find out more.

I liked the plot and the premise of the plot and the meaning and emotions behind the plot.

The villain was very interesting and a very good villain.

The way the main character helps and had courage and find a way to stand by her passions was amazing.

The helpers and protagonists was so cute and cool.

I don't remember the music much. I guess it was good.

Killers of the Flower Moon
(2023)

The worst kind of murderers
It was a long movie, but didn't drag on and feel long to me. That surprised me because it didn't seem particularly suspenseful or anything.

I had trouble believing the way the main characters acted and responded in this movie. Maybe that's what happened in real life, but I still have trouble. The wife was too calm and rational. She just not believable. I think a real person would be much angrier. Maybe she was a saint. Who knows.

The husband did bad things but acted like he loved them, but he just went along with doing bad things. I just don't understand. The way he carried himself, I wondered if he was retarted or something. Maybe he was easily suggestible and couldn't stand up for himself. I just don't understand that though. I feel like in real life, he wasn't such a push over and was a lying creep that was also evil. They are making it seem he was evil on accident because he's a passive pushover and that's hard for me to believe. But maybe in his case it was true.

What's so heartbreaking on this movie is that these people made friends with and formed bonds with these Native Americans.. The Osage. But, despite that, they killed them anyway. That's the worst kind of murderer. The kind that stabs you in the back.

I was surprised the USA government actually helped and did the right thing. I guess I'm used to hearing bad news these days.

Thoughts on hospital
Okay. Let's say you're a hospital and genuinely concerned that a little girl is being abused.

To investigate abuse shouldn't be an 87 day thing. Maybe a week at most.

As soon as the hospital found the previous doctor that treated the disease and verified the dosage this should have been case closed.

They made her situation much worse. Wheel chair bound. The hospital were abusing her.

It goes to show the repeated pattern of people with invisible diseases being at high risk of being treated very badly not just by doctors but also by their peers.

Really, any parent could take their kid in for a disease and then be accused of something? Invisible sand rare diseases could be at greater risk?

This should be a higher red flag and warning to everyone both parents and medical staff that they need to be faster and fairer in seeing the situation.

The Marvels
(2023)

Like coming in at the end and not knowing, many questions
The main character interactions and comradarie was cute and fun. The family was cute and fun.

The movie itself had many interesting aliens and spaceships and fights and what not. Cool technology.

I had to read two Wikipedia articles during the movie to understand the movie. I watched the other two marvel movies that had Captain marvel but not the TV show. I was just not knowing the background of what was going on. It felt like I missed five movies to understand what was happening. But, I didn't miss anything. It was awhile ago that I watched the first Marvel movie though.

Though I could understand what was happening, it felt like I walked in 3/4 into the movie or something. Like a lot happened already and I'm coming in at the end.

That's the feeling of this movie.

Though it was very understandable even though, I wish we had more background on how the technology worked and technology of the aliens as well. And just now background on the aliens.

And more understanding of Marvels abilities and why. All three Marvels for that reason. It sounds corny, but they maybe should have come out with a prequel to this movie or started this movie with a recap. Like once upon a time, etc.

It made me more curious on the universe and everything though.

I liked the group dynamics of the movie, but it made it so there wasn't a main character and you didn't really get to focus and get to know one character very well either.

There's a lack of intimacy and feelings of empathy with the screen for that reason..

Cheolinwanghoo

Shirt in perspective
I only cared about the main character and how they were going to return but the show started focusing a lot on what was happening with all the other people. I didn't care so I stopped watching. Later on, after taking a break for awhile I started watching the show again. This time I got into and was more interested in the other plots with other characters which was focused on more.

I like the acting of the main character and I like the atmosphere and the visuals of the show. The Chinese drama called Eternal Love has a similar plot but it's very different at the same time.

I think the Chinese version has a better build up of focusing on the goals of the main character than this show. This show focused on those goals in the beginning but then it dropped. Other historical drama I saw like this made the adversaries seem more scary and serious. This drama made them seem more silly.

I'd say this was a fun show a little bit in comparison.

Hibhage
(2023)

Mixed Feelings
The show had a very goofy premise. Very goofy and weird characters and interactions. A dark plot. Set in a strange, small town. The characters lacked chemistry. It was kind of interesting. If you're goofy and not too serious but like dark plots it's okay. The show didn't blend well somehow. It's a hard mix to make. In the middle of the series, it dragged and was boring a bit. But, it did kick off and get more interesting eventually. Being goofy, very serious and dark things happened but the town didn't have the appropriate reaction. It wasn't realistic.

It was kind of enjoyable but not as much as other really good shows I saw. And it really dragged in some parts in the middle and it was too weird and silly in some ways and too dark in other ways.

Pooreun Badaui Junsul

So similar to others but many layers to keep interesting
The main make lead was a con artist and she was a mermaid but despite all that they managed to overlook everything and make changes to be together. She got legs on land and he became a lawyer instead. His family got all the Inheritance after it was found that the step family was trying to murder the father for money. There were funny side kicks. He gets reunited with his long lost mother. Other than the developing romance with a lot of stress there was the con artist game, the scary step family, the henchmen of the scary step family, remembering a past life where everything happened the same. It made the show seem more deep. The love that is never dying and eternal. I'm kind of noticing too many Korean soap operas having similar plots though. Okay, this one has a mermaid which is different. But, other than that there's too many Korean soap operas where the main character has an estranged mother he's trying to reconnect with, he's the son of a rich businessman, he's very rich while there's something poor about the girl usually. I feel like every Korean show has to be about a rich kid from a very rich family and seeing the life of glamour. Clean with a passion for now, King The Land, etc. So many shows about a son of a rich guy and an estranged mother.

I didn't like the ending so much because I wish people remembered her. That they knew each other from past lives was interesting though.

Boring plot, unlikeable, unrealistic, cringe characters
The side characters of this show are too mean and for no reason. It's mean girls (and mean boys) on steroids. It would seem more believable if they showed a plausible reason for them being so mean but they don't. It's just too over the top and cringe.

The side characters are all very unlikeable and annoying. The side characters are constantly on the show too which makes it even more annoying. The way they act is just not plausible, I'm sorry! Even for me and I've known a bunch of snobs in my life.

The main character is not intriguing or likeable enough either. She's okay compared to others but still a bit too calculating.

I like how the main character doesn't like to be idolized or complimented. How she doesn't like the culture of celebrities getting fame. But, people who help others should get fame. She doesn't believe that e celebrities should be put on a pedestal and their opinion respected as more.

This is nice in theory but that's not exactly what's happening in real life though.

The show shows her getting fame by hiring an agency and making friends with other celebrities. And making fame and a brand fast. It's like over night without real work, but more from connections she's a success.

The creators of this show seems to be insulting Internet celebrities and the concept of it. They lack understanding of the whole entire genre.

I used to watch beauty YouTubers a few years ago when I was too sick to work and was stuck at home. I haven't watched them lately. Don't find the beauty topic interesting anymore lately. I watched a lot of beauty influencers so I know about that world well.

These aren't just random celebrities on the Internet in this show. They seem to be beauty influencers they are featuring on this show. The person who made this show doesn't understand that world. They insult they world and the celebrities and the fans.

People who become successful beauty YouTubers and Instagramers know a lot about makeup, fashion, lifestyle, etc. It's like a career where you learn a lot about it like any other. There is a lot to know and learn.

Their fans aren't blinding following or idolizing them. They look to them to inform them about the specific topic of fashion, makeup, etc. They are interested in that topic. Just like someone interested in the news or history or science.

It's easy to poo poo it when you don't respect the topic. I guess that's easy for them to do because it's seen as superfluous. But it's not because it is a huge part of culture, expression, life, and showing deep intentions.

Most beauty, YouTubers don't become overnight sensations. Their journey is very long. Many were on the YouTube for six years to ten years growing their fan base very slowly over time.

They don't make easy posts once a month. These internet celebrities create videos on YouTube at least twice a week and upload on a very consistent schedule. They make posts on many other media platforms too. In a very consistent schedule. It takes diligence, perseverance, and tenacity and strength to do this especially with a mean fan base that's constantly talking smack.

They can't get away with just taking on any sponsor all the time. The Internet doesn't like that. Especially YouTube viewers. There was a big uproar over it a few years back and celebrities have to be very careful about their sponsors now.

The person who made this show really doesn't understand this world. They judge it because they don't respect the topic. They judge women who are beautiful to be vapid mean girls that don't deserve their respect. Today just got famous because they're cute and it was overnight and they didn't work for it. Nothing could be further from the truth.

There's a lot of science YouTubers celebrities too. They have huge followings too. They wouldn't make such a mean girls and mean boys show showing scientists being jerks.

If women weren't enslaved in the world working cheaply in sweat shops for cheap fashion maybe the craft would be respected. The fashion sewing classes I took were very hard. One of the hardest classes I have ever took.

And nothing happens in this show but the main character getting successful for power and some scandals she exposes. It's not too complicated.

SKY Castle
(2018)

I agree with both 10/10 and 1/10 ratings of this series
Let me explain, the show is very emotional, intense and deep. Not in the beginning so much so, but towards the end. I cried a lot in the last four episodes.

So, it's odd that such a serious and intense show with very emotional aspects to it also seemed very fake and silly on purpose?

Some of the characters came off as unreal, too unrealistic to seem serious. It made the show look like a joke in a way.

It didn't jive or mesh with the very serious and emotional aspect to the show.

But, in a way, it added comedic relief for the characters at times to seem so silly in an unrealistic way.

Many of the main characters weren't likeable at all. They were so cringe you'd hope they'd fail. But, a character that's normal, sane and likable comes along and is like the voice of reason amongst the other crazies. It adds a nice contrast. That one serious, realistic and normal character against the unrealistic nutty people. Many improve by the end of the show.

Sometimes, the plot circled over petty stuff, especially in the beginning. It dragged. But, that maybe were in only two episodes. Overall, the show was very interesting and engaging and left with many cliffhangers at the end of each episode.

The show was very strongly trying to teach you something. I'm not sure what that it. It's so obvious what they were trying to teach. But, at the same time it's confusing because are they saying you don't need to try so hard and force others to?

Personally, what I learned from this show is to not be so focused on your goals that you don't notice who you can help, and don't notice your friends, your family. Don't be so focused on your goals because of pride and prestige. Don't be so focused on your goals to the point that you are willing to harm others.

Don't use other people and your children as a trophy or a way to gain self esteem or clout. Don't have an inferiority complex motivating you to succeed.

That spending time with family is important.

Detective work is a Job!
I wonder if this is a more realistic portrait of detective work than most shows? It got me curious and it made me want to find a book written by an actual real detective. But like written by detective and not a journalist or fiction author.

Anyway, this series displayed detectives as workers. People with jobs. That this detective work is a job. And like jobs they are subject to lots of pressures.

There's the grueling nine to five. But then there's office politics, pressure from co-workers, the boss, journalists, the families who are victims, and in this show, there's pressure from political sources as well.

This show is about fighting to be an honorable detective despite all the pressures to not be from the outside world.

It's really sad that they can't just do their job without all these evil people getting in their way.

Probably detectives in real life have many of these pressures. I think that this is one of the few shows that makes this apparent.

The plot is interesting for this series and the main characters, the protagonists are likable.

I thought it dragged a bit in season one towards the end. I think it could have ended after twelve episodes and didn't need sixteen episodes.

A Haunting in Venice
(2023)

A mystery murder clue type thing
It was feeling like you are trapped in a clue game like trapped in the mansion and you have to solve who the murderer is.

But, no. It's not you, but. It's Hercul Peroit is trapped in an allegedly haunted house, not a mansion.

It had all the cool clue board game mystery aspect.

It had all the spooky Halloween haunted house ambiance, but old world style.

I'd say it really delivered on those aspects of just the set up and feel.

Plot wise, it wasn't predictable at all and I was very surprised by the conclusions that the detective came to on three separate occasions!! It had three surprises.

I was a little confused about the main characters and who was who but by the end of the movie I understood. Maybe it would have been better to do a better introduction in the beginning of the movie so I'd learn who everyone is earlier.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3
(2023)

Seemed like it was always the beginning
An hour into the movie and it felt like it was just getting started. It always had a just landed and nothing happened yet feeling. Problem is, this movie was only 1.5 hours long.

I can't say it's a bad movie per say. It just felt like chapter one and drop. Maybe it needed to be longer?

I heard the theatre laugh a few times. But, it wasn't at jokes per say. But rather, awkward hygiene moments.

The main characters somehow weren't very likable and we borderline annoying. But, they didn't really do anything to deserve my feeling that? I guess it's just their tone of voice.

There were instances of family secrets coming out and bad grades and family illness--dementia, but, it didn't have a serious enough tone for it to gather empathy and realness from it.

It wasn't comedy but it wasn't emotional either but it was and tried to be? It just missed it's chance to be impactful.

The scenery wasn't that good either for showing a beautiful country.

A little Predictable, Boring and Slow towards the end, But Good Characters sort of
People love this so much. But, compared to a lot of the k dramas I have watched recently, this show just doesn't have a very good plot, or interesting plot. In comparison to the amazing plots I have seen lately, it's kind of basic, predictable and it has a lot of unbelievable coincidences that make the show seem like a joke and not serious.

There are parts of the show that could have shown pain and trials, but they glossed over it to make it seem like a more light hearted drama.

It was kind of slow and boring in some parts and towards the end, I skipped and fast forwarded some sections of the show. I watched the first eleven episodes all the way through, but I got bored towards the end and started skipping.

They made North Korea look very quaint and cute, with a community vibe where everyone was a neighbor. There was the city folk with more electricity and plumbing and the rural parts with not as much electricity and plumbing. But, somehow the show made the rural area without electricity or plumbing not look bad to live in, but very cute, communal, fun and sweet.

I have mixed feelings on it. It is nice that they make North Koreans look personable and their abodes cute in a shabby sort of way. However, at the same time, it's kind of not good they don't really show the pain and suffering that could happen there. Except for a few beggar type scenes.

Anyway, even though it was sweet to see all the supporting cast, and main cast and how they got along and then to see the bad family, they weren't that personable or likable though. Then women's lead ...her family seemed like bad acting. Like a joke family and not real, serious characters.

Very entertaining like a subtle real life version
This movie was mellow and quaint and had the simplicity and precious soft and slow moments like real life. It was very fun and interesting to see the beginning. The middle was kind of slightly boring but it changed and picked up from there. I really like the atmosphere, relationships, acting, and the many moments of the movie.

It wasn't cringe or dramatic or stupid. It felt real and cute. The plot is surprising three times and has a strong message about friendship. It's a very good movie with few flaws.

The only thing I found annoying was I didn't have more details in the end about what happened and why in relation to a certain incident. And, sometimes the main character seemed too aggressive in certain scenes. Like, she could have just said it nicely rather than talking off and being so rude.

Love to Hate You
(2023)

Things nagging at me--I'll contradict myself.
Both of the main characters in this movie are sexist. The female lead against men and the male lead against women.

At this point, where you are so sexist. Love is an illusion that doesn't exist. You are just too jaded.

There are only two options. To not date at all, or to make dating a game or a way to get over on people.

The male lead never dated. The female lead dated too much, 100 men, as a game to get over on them, not in seriousness.

I'm used to Korean dramas being PG but the beginning of this show was a bit too sexy. I don't like them Americanizing things.

Anyway, point is with the amount of baggage the main characters in this show have, it should have been a darker show.

But, the main female lead character is just perfect with no flaws other than she dated 100 men. She's excellent and a hero and good at fighting and winning. She puts the male lead at ease and all his problems and fears are cured.

He doesn't want a gold digging woman like his mother, but in the beginning, his girlfriend is paid to date him. This doesn't upset him at all?

The female lead has a sexist dad and her mom has an unfair life because of it. The male lead she falls for is sexist. But, he's perfect in every way? So everything is okay?

I like how the story seems perfect and their love is strong with no hiccups and it's positive. That the main characters just quickly get over their problems and are healed. I like the positive perfect vibes.

But, in reality, both are emotionally damaged and probably need to do more to heal than fall in love with the perfect girl. You're not like other girls!! It's nice the show has so much positive vibes and the main characters are so quick to heal, but it seems unrealistic.

The Equalizer 3
(2023)

Satisfying
I didn't see many fight scenes? It's like he magically kills with a gun or a knife mostly.

The town camaraderie and seemed a bit shallow but it's a short movie and he hasn't been there long.

The Mafia seems very mean in this movie which makes it very dramatic.

The equalizer seems very skilled and smart and just does things very quickly and easily.

It's kind of interesting to wonder if he feels guilty about everyone he kills and if he's doing bad things in doing so. It's interesting that he doesn't get into trouble being a vigilante.

It was satisfying to watch because he's so good at eliminating threats and winning. That I can say.

May need more character development, and background development. Seems too short and shallow of a movie at times.
