Inventing Anna
(2022)

I'm Enjoying Hate Watching It
It is a mixed bag. I like the premise. A con artist tricks all of New Yorks elite into thinking she is a German heiress. The actress who plays Anna does a good job. I don't like the character, but, she is interesting. Then this pregnant journalist is trying to write a story about her, I find the journalist extremely annoying. Then there are all of the super rich characters, I hate them all so much. The show does quite a good job (maybe unintentionally) of showing just how horrible these ultrarich people must be in real life. I am finding it interesting enough, that I will probably finish watching it, but I don't really like it and I am never going to rewatch it.

Scream
(2022)

I'm Not Happy
They killed off Dewey and he was my favourite character, so I am not happy about that, and not only that, they didn't even bother to give him a cool death. They are about to escape, but, he decides to go back to finish the killer off, he then gets distracted by his phone ringing and then the killer stabs him and kills him. Dewey has survived four movies so far and THAT is how you kill him! Pathetic... I am not amused.

That is my biggest problem with the movie. With that out of the way, I did like some things. All of the original actors and characters who returned did a good job, and I was happy to see them return. All of the new characters however I found very unlikable and extremely forgettable.

So now that they have killed my favourite character Dewey, and introduced a bunch of new characters I don't like, I.can say that I definitely will not watch Scream 6 if they decide to make it. It was entertaining enough for me to watch, when you have started you do kind of want to finish to find out who the killer is (the boyfriend like I thought) but this is nowhere near as good as Scream 1 and Scream 2, which are my personal favourites. All things considered, I think it would have been better if they just made a new horror franchise that was influenced by Scream, instead of making another mediocre Scream movie.

RIP Dewey.

House of 9
(2005)

God Awful
This film is embarrassingly bad. The acting is way over the top and the writing is very lazy. There are times when it is so unbelievably dumb. I hated all of the characters and didn't care at all if they died. I will try my best to forget that I ever saw this, which will not be hard.

Breathing Room
(2008)

Trash
The lead actress is a very beautiful woman and I enjoyed looking at her. That is the only good thing I can say about this awful movie. I was expecting something like Cube or Saw where some characters are trapped somewhere and they have to solve puzzles to escape. I love those sorts of movies, but this is not one of them, People are trapped, but, there are no clever puzzles to solve, or even any real character development or an interesting story. It is just about a dozen people being trapped in a room, and every so often one of them dies until they are all gone. It is really bad, I don't know what else to say, just watch cube or saw instead.

Parallel
(2018)

Fun
This is a fun movie and I really enjoyed it. The premise is cool. It was slightly predictable at times, but, entertaining enough that I didn't really mind.

The Jacket
(2005)

Disappointing
This could have been quite good, but, it never quite came together for me. I liked a few scenes with Adrian Brody and Keira Knightly, but, as a whole the movie doesn't make much sense, and is quite forgettable. I liked it enough to watch it, but, I don't think. I am ever going to watch it again in the future.

Phone Booth
(2002)

good movie, bad ending
This is a good movie, but, I found the ending lacklustre. The acting is good, especially Kiefer Sutherland. I would have happily given this an 8/10 (or even a 9) with a better ending, but, as it is 7 is as high as I can go.

The Boondock Saints
(1999)

A Cult Classic
This is a really great movie. I saw it many years ago, and then rewatched it last night, it is even better than I remembered. The writing, acting, and film making are all great. You couldn't ask for more from an action movie.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
(1974)

A Dark Masterpiece
I have watched a lot of horror movies in my life and I would say that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Exorcist are the two greatest horror movies ever made. They are both great in very different ways. The Exorcist is more philosophical. A spiritual battle between good and evil, and that is great if you want something scary and deep to think about. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a different beast entirely, and I think it is even more frightening. It is unsettling right from the start. Within the first few minutes it is clear that things are not right, and something very bad is about to happen. Then it slowly builds.from there into the most terrifying sequence of events. The plot is so simple and the film making is so minimalist, that it kidnaps your full attention, and taps into a primal fear like nothing else I have ever seen. There is no complex metaphors or well crafted plot twists, it is just a heavy dose of fear directly injected into your a blood stream. You are lost in the wilderness getting chased by a large predator, in this case a large psychopath holding a chainsaw. There is no time to think about who he is, or why he is doing it, you just need to run away as fast as you can, and hope to God that he doesn't catch you. It is the perfect horror movie. I have seen it many times, and still by the end my heart is racing, and I need to cool down after. I don't get that kind of rush from any other movie. It is not perfect, because nothing is, but, if you want to.give yourself a deep scare, then this is as good as it gets.

Infinity Chamber
(2016)

Boring
A good enough premise with good acting, but, I found it boring. The slow burn only works if you promise the audience a good pay off and keep momentum. I don't think this did. I just got bored. A waste of money, I'm quite annoyed.

The Killing Room
(2009)

Room For Improvement
This could have been a really good movie, but, it doesn't quite deliver. It has a very good premise and the acting is good. Unfortunately it never quite comes together in the way that you want it to, there are better films of this genre, like Exam or Cube. You're not missing much by skipping this one.

8MM
(1999)

Very Good
Read a description and watch the trailer to decide if you might want to watch it, this is definitely not for everyone, but, I thought it was great. The story is good and the acting is fantastic. Nicholas Cage is actually a really great actor when he is in a good movie like this.

The Cell
(2000)

Art Horror
This is definitely not for everyone. It is a very dark.and twisted movie, but, if you like psychological horror, then you might really enjoy it. It reminds me of the tv show Hannibal, in fact, I'm quite sure that movies like this will have inspired that show. I didn't know that Jennifer Lopez could act like this, she gives a really great performance. And Vince Vaughn is great too. The visuals are stunning, like. Salvador Dali paintings. It is a truly unique movie, and I really enjoyed it.

Santa Inc.
(2021)

This is bad it hurts me
This is so bad that it hurts me. The world has never been so divided, and Christmas is supposed to be a nice special time when we all put aside our differences and try to come together. The people who made this clearly hate Christmas on a very deep level. I don't know why, and I don't really care why, but, they have tried to completely destroy a holiday that to me as a Christian is a special time of year. It is too rude and disgusting for children, and it is too boring for adults. I don't know what any of them were thinking when they decided to make this rubbish. I hated it, and from looking at the other reviews, a lot of other people seem to agree. This is not worth watching at all, If you feel like watching a Christmas movie, then Die Hard is always good (if you want action), and Jingle All The Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger is a fun family movie. This dumpster fire needs to be completely erased from history.

South Park: Post Covid
(2021)
Episode 3, Season 24

Please Put South Park Out Of It's Misery
I hate what South Park has become. It has not made me laugh in years. You could argue that the show has never been smarter, but, guess what? I don't care, because, it's not funny!

This used to be a fun show about 4 foul mouthed cartoon children who went on wacky adventures. They with friends with singing poo and one of them would always die.

I have no idea what happened. It used to be the best show on television. I understand if Matt & Trey are out of ideas, but, then they should just end the show. They used to make fun of Steven Speilberg and George Lucas.for ruining their legacy, but, now they are doing exactly the same thing.

You
(2018)

Boring
I found it boring. I did not like any of the characters, and the story was boring. It's about a creepy hipster and his smug blonde girlfriend. I was expecting a show with more action and excitement like Dexter. This is basically just a mediocre rom com, that isn't funny. It is really not good. I don't know why it is so popular.

No Time to Die
(2021)

The Worst Bond Movie!
This is by far the worst James Bond movie ever made. On the surface it might seem good to some people, but, in terms of the future for the franchise, I don't think they could have made anything worse than this.

They actually killed off James Bond at the end of the movie. You can't do that. It has never happened before, for a good reason. James Bond is never supposed to actually die. We as an audience like seeing him in dangerous situations, but, he always was able to turn things around and ultimately win. That is why we loved him. By definitively killing the character here, it will never be the same again when they now try and bring him back.

This was the worst creative decision that they could have ever made, it is like making a fun Christmas movie and then giving Santa terminal cancer at the end. It might shock the audience, but, that does not mean that it is good story telling.

Here is what I predict. The film has good reviews right now, but, I think that over time people are gradually going to start turning on it. By killing the James Bond character they have crossed a line that was never supposed to crossed, and I really don't see a way back from this.

The Exorcist: Chapter Eight: The Griefbearers
(2016)
Episode 8, Season 1

Amazing
This show is criminally underrated. It is the best horror show I have ever seen. The season has built great momentum. The end of this episode was a real 'holy s***!' moment. I was not sure at first if The Exorcist would work as a tv show, but, they really succeeded in creating a cool show.

The Exorcist
(2016)

Excellent
This is a really good show. It is definitely one of the best horror shows that I have ever seen. The story is great and so is the acting. This should be more well known. If you like the movie then this is definitely worth checking out. It reminds me of the Silent Hill video games. It does not rely on jump scares, instead it is disturbing and atmospheric. The show creates a chilling mood and finds a way to really get under your skin. Ben Daniels is especially good as Father Keane.

Romper Stomper: Anabasis
(2018)
Episode 6, Season 1

Not like this!
I have to give credit where it is due, this show has some very good twists and turns. There have been about three or four holy s*** moments. I have found myself thinking, 'I can't believe they just did that!'. The ending is definitely on of them. I don't think they are making any more, which is very unfortunate, I would have really liked to see what happens in the aftermath of these events. This was a very bold way to go out. I am strange mix of being annoyed, but, also impressed.

Romper Stomper
(2018)

Okay
This is okay. At some times it is a bit over the top and unrealistic, but, I am happy to keep watching it for now. I don't really like any of the characters, but, that is okay. I think I will watch the rest of the episodes, but, I doubt that I will ever rewatch the show again after that. I haven't seen the original movie yet, but, I think I will watch that after this. They were both created by the same writer and I like Russell Crowe as an actor. I have seen a lot worse tv shows than this, but, it is not one of my favourites either.

Snowpiercer: Into the White
(2021)
Episode 10, Season 2

Flashbacks Of The Walking Dead
This reminds me of TWD because I don't really like the show, but, the mediocre writers are just barely good enough to keep me watching it. I only really like two characters Melanie and Wilford. I don't really like Wilford, but, he is an interesting character and Sean Bean does a great job playing him. Melanie is by far my favourite character. I think she is the most interesting and the most likeable. She was also the best leader the train has had by far. It looks like she is dead, but, they didn't technically show her die, which leaves room for a surprise return next season. I find this very annoying, because, if I want to find out if she is dead, which means I will have to wait and keep watching, but, I really have no interest in watching episodes if she is not in it. Sean Bean is great, but, he can't carry the entire show by himself (especially as a villain) at this point I just want closure. If Melanie is alive (and they do a better job of writing) then one last season could be cool. If Melanie is dead, then I really could not care less about Leyton and his merry band of mischief makers, I'd say good luck to Mr Wilford killing them all. It would not be a popular ending, but, I'd find it hilarious.

Battlestar Galactica: Unfinished Business
(2006)
Episode 9, Season 3

Top 5
The current rating is too low. This is one of the best episodes of the entire show. I love Starbuck and Apollo's relationship. I wish things had ended differently, but, this episode shows us the best moments of their tragic love story. I understand why people think the third season is their least favourite, but, it does have some of the best episodes.

Hannibal: The Wrath of the Lamb
(2015)
Episode 13, Season 3

Perfect
I will never get over this show being cancelled. It is one of the best television shows ever made. The final episode is perfect.

The Larry Sanders Show: Talk Show
(1992)
Episode 9, Season 1

I Hate Jeannie!
I hate Jeannie with the red hot fire of a thousand suns. This episode makes me feel stressed out. Larry is trying to host a live talk show and this horrible woman is choosing this time to fight about their marriage. Threatening to divorce him if he doesn't make time for her during a live tv show with millions of people watching! The woman is a psychopath. It is completely unreasonable. The man is trying to do his job. If he loses his job she would probably leave him too. Jeannie is a horrible woman and I am so glad they got rid of her.
