Christopher Robin
(2018)

Disney worked their magic once again
I'll be really honest with many of you, When Disney said they were going to produce live action movies based on their animated lineup and personally for me I was skeptical on the matter. Christopher Robin feels more like a continuity and final chapter of the Winnie the Pooh franchise and it's a really heartwarming film with moments that make you feel young again. Even though we live in a world were negative things are going on right now, It's movies like these that take you away from the real world problems and enjoy reliving your childhood film and make you feel good again. It's highly recommend for anyone that is a child at heart of the Disney community.

Double Dare
(2018)

Childhood show revived great but new host not so much
When I first heard that the legendary Nickelodeon game show "Double Dare" was coming out of retirement I was really excited and bringing Marc Summers was great but he was put on the announcers side which was disappointing because he was the one responsible for this show being such a hit in the 90's. Instead they bring in a new host Liza Koshy (Who at the time had no clue who she was) and I thought was okay but I feel like she was trying way too hard to impress an audience let alone the contestants with new school tact's. Personally she would have been better being the co host of the show instead of being the host.

I'm happy they revived the show but next season Liza needs to switch places with Marc Summers because honestly he knows how to be a great host and joke teller was the best part of this whole season and Liza not so much.

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies
(2018)

It's not bad nor it's not good
At first when I heard CN was going to be making a movie about TTG, I was at the time very uncertain that this was a good idea. Now I like to point out that I'm not a really big fan of the franchise by no means. Like most people I tried to go into this movie with an open mind and see if I get proven wrong. Sadly that wasn't the case. Now look I understand from many people the show falls too heavy on low bar humor (In laymen's term Bathroom humor is what I call it) and I feel like to the Hollywood industry that this as been done to death with many other films I didn't find appealing. Yes it will make your little ones laugh but for an older audience or parent you're basically staring at your watch wondering when this will end. To be fair, I didn't hate this film because it does have a few chuckle moments and the animation is pretty decent but to an outsider person like me this one wasn't my cup of tea. In conclusion, It's not Emoji Movie bad but it's not really saying much so if you can handle low bar humor then you'll get it. If not then this film won't be for you

Won't You Be My Neighbor?
(2018)

A Documentary everyone that grew up with Mister Rogers Neighborhood needs to see
I think I can speak for many on here but to me, Mister Rogers growing up was my childhood icon and to many people. Fred wasn't a person that would talk at you but more like talk to you in a very kind and gentle way. His show was beloved by children and adults around the world with his kind heart, generosity and show love to each and everyone he met. This documentary is an emotional roller coaster that everyone should watch and in today's world we live in, we need Mister Rogers now more then ever. His passing in 2003 was incredibly sad but the quote I will always remember him saying is "I like you just the way you are" and that's something people should always remember. You can't change who you are because someone else thinks otherwise. Ignore the negativity and keep being you just like Mister Rogers said many years ago. I don't normally cry in a theatre but this one made me because of how incredible well done it is. Something's I knew and some I didn't know about Fred Rogers. I'm 23 years old now and I will occasionally watch an old episode and relive the good memories Mister Rogers gave this world and wish he was still with us today. God bless this man and all the contributes he made to the Public Broadcast Service

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul
(2017)

It's like a really bad version of National Lampoons Vacation
Normally these days even bad movies would get a couple of chuckles out of me but sadly that's not the case with this film. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul is an unfunny, dumb and quite frankly utterly stupid. The screenplay for this must have been written by a bunch of toddlers and basically the actors must have made it up as they went. It has so similarities to Chevy Chase's icon movie National Lampoons Vacation but at least Chevy's was WAY better and more thought was put in.

Steer clear from this one if I were you, Or you'll lose most of your brain cells just watching 20 minutes

Incredibles 2
(2018)

Wasn't a huge fan of the francise
I have been a Disney/Pixar fan since Toy Story was released, Throughout the years they have made wonderful films but however have made decent films. The Incredibles for me falls under the decent category, I don't understand what was the big hype about this one and still don't to this day. Now look it's not bad but it wasn't my cup of tea. This sequel doesn't quite live up to the expectations of it's first film and honestly compared to the one 14 years ago they used the same formula that didn't quite mesh well this time around. Weak story, Villain very predictable and the action might be too intense for some viewers.

I don't hate this film but again it just wasn't for me and I may not understand why everyone likes it so much...So take this review with a grain of salt

The Poseidon Adventure
(1972)

A disaster film that keeps you on the edge of your seat
I have seen many disaster films in my day but The Poseidon Adventure is truly a film that will leave you on the edge of your seat because each moment after the being hit by a tidal wave is unpredictable. The survivors have to find a way out of the ship and a preacher (Gene Hackman) has to lead them out that becomes dangerous and often scary situations they face. Each cast member played their parts with emotion that becomes dramatic at times. All in all I thought this was better then the Titanic. I know they did a remake of this film in 2005 but as I always say, stick with the classic.

Annie
(1982)

A Timeless Classic, but with a few issues
I recently sat down this week and watched this film for the very first time, It's exactly as everyone has described...a very charming and sweet film that any age would enjoy. It has many broadway style songs in the film to make it even more fun. While it's a great film it does come with some issues and these are just my opinion alone so let's get into it..

Pros: Casting for Orphan Annie was a perfect fit, Aileen Quinn played the part beautifully and Albert Finney as Oliver Warbucks was spot on.

Carol Burnett had all the funny lines and nailed them (Personally was the best part of the movie)

Great writing

Had a few good songs but there were actually a couple I didn't think were necessary and I'll get into that in a bit

Cons: As I was saying before, While the movie had some good songs there were like two musicals numbers I didn't think were necessary like "We got Annie" and "Easy Street"

Bernadette Peters character just absolutely looked bored and wasn't really interesting enough

(Spoiler) The chase ending, Look I think this part could have avoided having Annie hanging off a bridge and just have Punjab rescue her from the top of the bridge and knocking Rooster down would have made more sense. But I'm not the director

Overall, It's a great film but with a few little nitpicks I have

The Lego Ninjago Movie
(2017)

A Lego Movie that doesn't quite have all the parts and pieces together
After seeing the success of The Lego Movie and The Lego Batman Movie, You would surely think the Lego Ninjago movie would be just as good.....well not really. First off, Unlike the first two films this film just felt more like a big toy commercial instead of being an actual movie. The story basically copies the formula of what The Lego Movie had and it backfired. While it did have some cool action scenes in the beginning the whole thing starts to come apart piece by piece afterwards and just can't recover. The Lego franchise would eventually have a film that would leave a dent in it's armor and Ninjago is the Weakest Link...Goodbye

Murder on the Orient Express
(2017)

It's Clue on a Train that I want to get off before it leaves the Station
When I first heard about the original was getting a remake and that I was actually pretty interested in seeing. But sadly, This is one mysterious train ride that just keeps going on and on and on and it doesn't stop. Nothing like the original which is 100x's better in my opinion. While it had a star studded lineup, Each character wasn't taken seriously and it kind of left me befuddled. Take my advice, See the original

My Little Pony: The Movie
(2017)

My Favorite Animated Movie of 2017 and All Time
At the beginning of the year, I knew going in that I would really like this movie but after I LOVED IT EVEN MORE and had the most fun in a theater in quite sometime!! The Animation is absolutely breathtaking and it blends well with some 3D scenes, Characters are really amazing and the Songs/Music are top notch. It honesty felt like watching a classic Walt Disney/Don Bluth movie from the early days that I grew up with. Everybody on the MLP Movie crew poured their hearts into making this a wonderful and beautiful film for all ages to enjoy!!! Despite what critics have said, This movie is absolutely worth the admission you pay for and it will leave you smiling for hours after. If you haven't already please go and see this movie because it's truly that amazing!!!
