Beacon 23
(2023)

what started off as a great sci-fi in S1 became Ludicrous and painful in s2
Season 1 started off at a steady pace and the excitement and plot became better with each episode with an interesting cliffhanger at the end of season 1. Season 2 is just a disaster. Is it an effort to show inclusion and diversity that made them add certain characters that really add no value to the series? Each episode of season 2 becomes more and more ridiculous and painful. Throwing big scientific words and AI stuff won't make people like the show. The plot must make sense and we must be able to follow it logically. I will be greatly surprised if this series gets a Season 3. After an excruciating episode 5 I will not endure any more of this torture.

El club de los lectores criminales
(2023)

Combination of Scream & I know what you did last summer
Except that they are in a book club absolutely none of the material in this movie is original. If you've watched the original Scream and I know what you did last summer movis then you know exactly what's going to happen in the entire movie. You'll know who dies and even who the villain is at the end . I think movie makers whould now be forced to write the movies they copied as part of the credits/ info. Isn't that what happens in the music industry? If you copy an artist's lyrics/ music you should either get permission from them but also acknowledge it in your credits. Shame on the writer for trying to pass this off as their own original material and shame on netflix for giving us bad movies like this and yet cancelling original content like ''I'm not ok with this''.

Meg 2: The Trench
(2023)

Wish I could unsee this
I red another reviewer who said people like Sharknado style movies...... That reviewer definitely wasn't speaking for me. Sharknado was an original & unique in its own way. This movie is filled with cliches of what you'd expect from a B rated shark movie. The only reason why people are watching it is because it has Jason Statham.

  • Meg 1 was already borderline but had redeeming qualities.

  • They even stole the Samuel L Jackson scene from Deep blue sea......

I don't want to givetoo many spoilers but it was just too bizarre.

This was a cross over of Deep blue sea and Jurassic park and not in a complimentary way unfortunatly.

Midsommar
(2019)

Myriad of emotions
I'm shook and shocked. I'd heard so many great reviews online but the synopsis didn't seem that interesting. I finally watched it and OMG, it's very good. I was hooked from the 1st moment. I couldn't help but compare it to some real world situations and societies.

The Wilds
(2020)

Nothing exciting about it
I was expecting something as exciting or complex as yellowjackets (also about teens stranded) but this is just boring. 1 whole season of the same pace, lack of real character development and no real effort by writers to develop a single likeable character.

Tenet
(2020)

2nd time's the charm
I watched it on an 8 hour flight and this movie helped some of the hours disappear. It's an amazing movie. I love it. I actually wish it could have continued for another hour so I could see more of the relationship between Pattinson and washington. I wish hollywood made more movies like this. Hoewever, I admit I only understood this movie the 2nd time I watched it. It's not like mrvel movies where you can go to the kitchen and bathroom and things will still make sense when you come back...... In Tenet, every second and blink counts.

Allegiant
(2016)

blah
There's a big difference betwwen being a strong female and being condescending and pontificating. Tris does whatever she wants without considring the consequences of her actions. Even when her actions cause deaths, she still comes across as not caring.

Room
(2015)

Amazing
This movie touched me in so many ways. The acting, storyline etc were all so good that even though I was watching a movie, it felt so real. That's what a movie should be like. This movie has made me become a super fan of Brie larson!!!

The Matrix Resurrections
(2021)

I gave it a 5 out of loyalty only
This is a movie that should never have been made. It felt like Lana Wachowski didn't know why people actually liked the original ''The Matrix'' because this movie was obviously lost in translation. It was like a love story/ IT drama.

And what was it with bringing the main actors from sense8 into The Matrix? It was so senseless and felt forced. Can a petition be signed to delete this movie completely from all theatres and streaming platforms so we can try to forget it ever existed?

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
(2021)

It's ok
There's nothing negative about it. There's just nothing that blows me away about it too. But I'd like to believe that the next one will be much better. It has so much potential for greatness.

WandaVision
(2021)

Why oh why can't there be a 2nd season
I hated episode 1 but from episode 2, things slowly built up to a fantastic ending. The storyline and Actors were perfect and continued what Ironman started. In a way I wish the boring ones (e.g. Hawkeye & Falcon/ winter.....) had aired 1st then saved the best e.g. Wandavision, for last.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
(2021)

Not made for an international audience
I get that this series was a way for Marvel to show their support for wokeness, BLM, equality etc that's on the forefront in the US right now and so maybe it's because I'm not American/ not from/ living in a woke country, that I couldn't connect in any way with this series and found it lacklustre.

Loki
(2021)

Loki never disappoints
Loki/ Tom fantastic to watch. As a villain or hero I like Loki. Owen Wilson and Wunmi Mosaku's characters also made this series interesting and I hope to see them again in season 2. Sophia and Gugu weren't that memorable and maybe it's because of the storyline or these roles just weren't meant for them.

The Wheel of Time
(2021)

It's actually quite good
Good actors and i think the storyline is building quite well. I find myself looking forward to the next episode every week. It's not right to compare it to Game of thrones or Lord of the rings because its different in its own way (hard to explain.... lol)

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City
(2021)

So much potential to be.......
There are hits and misses throughout this movie. The highlight was that they didn't kill off 90% of the main characters, like what most horrors are prone to do these days, and I thought that was good. You have to pay close attention to what they are saying or you might miss some info that makes some things make sense. The main character (female) does some very stupid things sometimes e.g. No one in their right minds would take the time to watch a movie and throw a childish tantrum while being chased by zombies. Overall I hope they make a sequel which fills in some gaps and has some super fighting skills like Alice had in the original movie. It's not resident evil if the fighting isn't amazing.

Bortført
(2021)

A waste of money and time
Maybe this would have been passable, as a movie, in the 90s but not for 2021. An unrealistic storyline and also quite boring. Non of the characters are likeable. It would easily be forgettable as a movie but they had to prolong the torture and turn it into a series.

Sorgenfri
(2015)

You've got to be kidding
I gave this movie a 2 simply because I refuse to believe that teenagers are so selfish and heartless that they'd choose the new girl next door over their parents or siblings....mxm.

Lovecraft Country
(2020)

Potentially amazing but.....
Episode 1 had me hooked and I loved it but one main character's development is becoming more and more unlikeable it's putting me off. I love Atticus' character and the actor really understands and portrays his character so well. The same can be said for Montrose and I sincerely believe that my inability to decide if he is a villain or his actions are with good intentions make him so interesting. But is Leti (Letitia) meant to be so arrogant, reckless and selfish? In an effort to be seen as confident and independent has she mistakenly ended up being self serving and extremely unlikable? I see a big difference between an admirable female (wonder woman) and Leti. I hope her character develops better with coming episodes because this series has so much potential to be as amazing as it was in episode 1

Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever
(2009)

30 something year ''High school actors''
It's hard to take the movie seriously when more than half the actors look old enough to have teenage kids of their own. As for the movie itself, it's more disgusting than horror. If their aim was to disgust the audience then I give them 10/10 (I'll never drink punch from a bowl again) but there was zero horror, lousy plot etc.

Reality Z
(2020)

Complete waste of time
Unless you've never watched a zombie movie in your entire life then don't bother watching this one. It's so cliché from beginning to end. It's supposedly a comedy but for a movie that's cliché/ copy & paste from other movies why couldn't they have copied from funny movies like ''Shaun of the dead,'' ''Zombieland'', ''Little monsters'', ''cooties'' and so many other movies made?

Verónica
(2017)

Worst horror movie
I honestly don't know where to start. The plot of the movie is weak and has zero originality. What makes it even worse is that it was advertised as ''The best horror movie '' by Netflix. The main actors were dull, boring and had one note in voice, acting, emotion for the entire movie

Messiah
(2020)

BRILLIANT movie and definitely worth binge watching!!!
I was hesitant to watch this series, especially coming from Netflix which has had a number of ''misses'' recently, but Messiah is an AWESOME series7!!!! Just like Al-Masih says, ''what you see will be your choosing,'' and so while others call this series brilliant, others call it underwhelming and a cliché. In my opinion, those mixed/ varying reviews are what makes this series even better. The fact that it leaves you to judge and, depending on your beliefs, make your own conclusions is what the series is all about isn't it? I really hope there'll be a season 2

The Laundromat
(2019)

Best drama of 2019
I don't usually like watching Dramas but my curiosity got the better of me and I was not disappointed. I loved it so much that I won't give any spoilers so other can be as wonderfully surprised and entertained by this movie as I was.

SpongeBob SquarePants
(1999)

Some of the characters completely ruin the cartoon
The writers need to completely change the character of Patrick. Seeing how cyberbullying and teenage suicides are such a problem these days how can you have a character like Patrick. He is the definition of a bully. Saying and doing what he wants to SpongeBob with no remorse or care of others feelings. E.g. Season 7 Episode 19 Patrick eats all the food SpongeBob bought (to help him out) and to top it all off takes the toy SpongeBob bought and loves and just out of selfishness eats the toys so noone else can have it. And even at the end of the episode Patrick is unapologetic and even takes SpongeBob's wallet. How is this a good cartoon. What Patrick does to SpongeBob is the exact same way bullies treat weaker students. I'm hoping that the newer seasons have a character change for Patrick.

The InBetween
(2019)

feels like a remake of Medium
I like the series but the main actress is trying too much to imitate Patricia Arquette from medium. The series itself is actually quite good but if I want to watch Patricia Arquette I'll just watch Medium. The main actress needs to be more original and bring her own style to the series.
