Get your expectations right At 26 years old, Really enjoyed!!! Didn't really understand the low ratings, but as I always say, it's skewed expectations that are usually the culprit. Yes, it's a "Boogeyman movie" but it's not gonna be like Sinister for example. It felt like a more literal and kid friendly babadook, or before I wake even! It's a monster(literal or metaphorical) that serves as a manifestation of things like loss, grief and in this case, loneliness and being misunderstood. Long post yea, but it's a great gateway for new, younger horror fans!
