The first episode seemed fairly good and was enjoyable but something happened to the second episode and it became annoying and ridiculous. That's the end of it.

Right from the start it seemed odd that Howie Landis had his wife in a saloon type area amongst only men, and for her to draw attention to herself by appealing against her his decision. Women did not walk into a saloon back in those days much less make a fool of a husband by speaking against him. Then at the beef association meal she was the only woman at the table of a dozen or more men, not to mention the only woman in the room, except for the waitress. Why was she the only wife at the dinner?

Annoyed within the first 30 minutes with the constant noise of disembodied voices, disembodied music, constant background chatter, ticky sounds that go on too long and makes you wanna swat it and kill it, boring scenes of watching people staring, thinking, vomiting, not enough interaction with each other to get the gist of what it's all about. And all this after a long overdrawn science type introduction. Maniac might get better...eventually, but I guess I'll never know because I'm already annoyed with it

I loved the scene in the bomb shelter with Napoleon the cat but was disappointed at the personal growth of Vin who comes back from war with the fresh face and bright eagerness of a boy which made him appear extremely artificial.
