Madness
(2006)

Madness is what this movie drives you to.
Don't listen to the other review. There are some great indie films...This isn't one of them. Some beautiful scenery is all it offers, unless you enjoy sub-par acting and a script that plays out like it was written by an untalented, 13 years old boy...Or, unless you are a 13 years old boy--In which case you'll probably enjoy it.

Out of Omaha
(2007)

California Dreaming is a nightmare
I just finished watching California Dreaming with Dave Foley and Lea Thompson. It was so bad on so many levels it's impossible to decide where to begin the review.

It's too late for me. But you can still save yourself.

Amnesiac
(2014)

Amnesiac: If this movie begins playing on a screen in front of you, for the love of God, save yourself.
It's a badly written, directed, and acted rip off of Stephen King's Misery. At first you think the movie may be salvageable, probably deserves more than the two, to two and a half stars it was given...until you watch it. The acting by the stories main protagonist (Kate Bosworth) is dull to say the least. It's almost as if Bosworth tried so hard, her performance goes full circle, right back to mediocre. There's a calm demeanor in the character that you as the viewer are supposed to find intriguing, but again, it's far too over done to be anything short of annoying. She is a walking encyclopedia of Jeapordy answers. Which, is supposed to add to the mystery of the character and the plot, but in the end falls flat, because the plot fails to explain why. The general pace is so slow, the plot is so needlessly drawn out, that it begins to feel like more of a nuisance to sit through to the finish, rather than a thrill-ride.

There is a slight twist at the end of the movie, but it's not enough to carry the film above the two star rating.

I have nothing against Kate Bosworth, personally. But, if she ever decides to do another role like this, she needs desperately to seek acting lessons from Kathy Bates.

Zoombies
(2016)

Zoombies, provides everything thing you'd expect.
Lololol! Two words: Zombie giraffes!

Can't get any funnier or more pathetic than that. But what can you expect from a movie about zombie zoo animals? If you want a good laugh or if you enjoy "So BAD they're GOOD" movies then this might be the movie for you. I'd give it more than one star if it were meant to be humorous, but it wasn't. I would give it a half star if I could, but I can't. I wouldn't give it zero stars because it was funny which provided a modicum of entertainment value whether it's creators intended it to be funny or not.

Trolljegeren
(2010)

Troll Hunter
Though there is some really beautiful footage, your brain and your eyeballs will hate you if you waste their time on this movie.

Cold Zone
(2017)

Cold Zone
Bad...Painfully bad! I'd never seen under-acting and over-acting all at the same time till this movie. That's not even addressing the terrible script and a plot that is so ridiculous that you continue watching out of sheer curiosity to verify for your own sanity that: yes, indeed someone actually wrote and acted in and worse, financed a movie that tests the absolute limits of human boredom. Yes it actually happened! You begin to wish you were in the cold zone so your agony would end because you just can't bring yourself to turn it off cause you still need to know how much worse the movie gets. And the worst part for the viewer is that you can't UN-watch it.

My bad review of this film has probably done it more favors than a hundred great reviews. Now, YOU'LL probably watch it out of sheer curiosity...and the cycle continues.

Burning Bright
(2010)

Burning Bright: good movie, bad title
I rarely get scared anymore when watching what others would call an on the edge of your seat thriller; not so with Burning Bright. One scene in particular was very intense. If you've seen the movie then you no-doubt know the scene I'm referring to. If you haven't, then give the movie a chance. The acting was good, especially by Tahan. I say "especially" because he was just a kid and did very well. Overall the movie caries itself and once the plot unfolds it really holds your attention. I feel it deserves more than the three stars it was given. The only problem I have with the movie, unless I missed something, is the title makes no sense. Other than that, enjoy!

Gremlin
(2017)

UUUGH!
The concept is doable with the right writer, director, and cast, but without any of these as well as how the movie plays out, it is so bad I don't have the energy to write a review.
