The movie takes inspiration from the books in the following ways: some of the characters, the setting of Ireland, a smart child. Pretty much where it ends. The whole premise of the books and Artemis' evil genius went pretty much out the window. Overall we (Mum, 10 year old, six year old) did not enjoy.

Kept me interested throughout. Very real for anyone who has spent time in Western Melbourne and/or with the Sudanese community. High quality production, fantastic acting from Anthony LaPaglia. Definitely worth taking the time to watch this one.
