The show is a solid continuation to the Prequels. Just much better directed and filmed. It has heart, character, action - and yes, a few ridiculous scenes involving a child actress. Ewan is great. As is the rest of the cast including Hayden.

To be honest, the low score is both a shame and a testement to the toxic community.

But not worth the hype. It feels like Kripke and the team used the same mechanics to fire up this episode that are usually subject of the show's meta critic.

And in that regard Herogasm works even better. Otherwise it's just a very good The Boys episode. Far away from any kind of TV revelation or master piece.

If Act 3 can hold up to the superb first 6 episodes, Season 1 of Arcane really might become a masterclass of its own. This show is pure art with compelling characters, rich world buildung and a decent enough story to get you hooked for more.
