Beautiful.. I have seen pretty much every film about Jesus and Mary pout there and for me this felt the most truthful. It didn't need a huge amount of wasted dialogue to resonate the message of finding truth within ourselves. The exploration of what seems like a more real Mary (not the character invented/perverted by a man) was interesting to see. The acting was understated and as such so much more powerful. The story of Mary and her relationship with Jesus felt more real and not overplayed (although I would of liked to have seen that friendship fleshed out a little bit more). It's a truly beautiful film with an even more beautiful message, which when combined with the superb cinematography and musical score make for an immensely emotional film, which if I'm honest had me sobbing several times.
