Street Warrior
(2008)

Wow, really good.
I have to be honest, I didn't expect this movie to be all that good. The story has been done plenty of times, and I was expecting not to be entertained, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Max Martini (The Unit) does a great job playing Jack Campbell, and is very believable as a tough guy. The fight scenes were really good, but it was mainly Max Martini that made the movie good. So if you're in and you're looking for something to watch, for just $3.99 this movie is a good watch.

Very good.

San Saba
(2008)

Not so good.
I didn't enter this movie with great expectations. I was just expecting something a little entertaining. But I didn't get that. I watched this mainly because I like some of Elizabeth Rohm's work, mainly her work on Angel and Law & Order.

But this move was just very boring. I was hoping for something exciting to happen but it was just talk, talk, talk, talk. Angus McFayden (Saw III) has me convinced that he is not that good of an actor.

So this movie was not worth the few dollars I paid to watch it, but whatever.

Angel: Lullaby
(2001)
Episode 9, Season 3

Possibly my favorite Angel episode.
It was definitely this episode that made think I was watching the best TV shows of all time. I started from the beginning, loved the first two seasons, and when I saw this episode, I thought there was no way this show could get any better (it does). But this is probably my favorite episode.

Darla is about to give birth, Holtz is chasing Angel, and nobody knows what to do. The scene at the end when Darla stakes herself and Connor is born is just a beautiful scene. Angel looks down at the baby just as Holtz points a crossbow at him, and when he picks the baby up, Holtz realizes it and puts his crossbow down.

The music playing in the background, along with the situation in the scene, is really sad and moving. I found myself not crying, but a little teary because it was so sad. He lets Angel walk away, and Sahjahn is yelling at Holtz to kill him, and Holtz basically says he will next time he sees them.

So Darla's gone, enter Conner. You may have your own opinion about his character, but I personally didn't like him. Either way, my favorite episode of Angel.

Triloquist
(2008)

Just got done watching it...
First thing to think about: Don't enter this movie thinking a serious horror movie. It's nothing like that. I guess in a way I blame myself for not liking it, expecting something at least a little bit like Dead Silence.

This movie is mainly a comedy, or at least I thought so, because I was not frightened one bit. The voice of the dummy is not scary it all, in fact it reminded me a little of Chris from Family Guy.

The soundtrack is the worst of recent films. Painful songs that they play over and over again.

Don't expect any cleverness or thrills from this flick. You may get some laughs, but overall, this movie is not good.

Southland Tales
(2006)

Better than Donnie Darko? I think so. (My opinion)
I thought this was unbelievable, amazing, excellent, and some other big words. It was freaking genius. I can't believe the negative reviews this is getting. The only bad thing about this movie is the performances, Seann William Scott had the only memorable performance.

But seriously, this movie is just brilliant. I thought it was loaded with breathtaking scenes, and the scene with Justin Timberlake singing and the girls dancing was just way too awesome. Cinematography was great as well.

Oh, and I don't understand this movie at all. I just found it incredibly entertaining. Best movie I've seen all year. Call me crazy but I really really loved it, and when it was over, I felt blown away.

Fish in a Barrel
(2001)

Fantastic!
This movie was so great! I loved it! Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by this extremely low budget crime comedy movie. I'm a huge Jeremy Renner fan, and he excellent in this. Some scenes in this movie had me die laughing, and I still quote it this day. The actors did a great job, and the story was very interesting. I would definitely put this up there with some of my favorite movies of all time. I get tired of big production blockbuster movies, and for a low budget movie like this to be this good, it's somewhat of a relief. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of independent films, and who doesn't love just action and violence, and who listens to dialogue.

Dahmer
(2002)

Incredible in many different ways
I don't know about others, but I really loved this movie.

The first time I watched it, I said to myself, "this movie isn't what I expected at all, I wish it was better." I bought it for a very low price, and one day I was tempted to watch it again. So I did.

Ever since I watched it for the second time, I became attached to how brilliant this film is. Jeremy Renner gives an incredible performance as Jeffrey Dahmer. I've become a huge Jeremy Renner fan since this movie.

Don't expect this to be a slasher movie, at all. It's a character study. It goes into what was in this mentally sick man's mind, how he deals with it and how it effects him and others. Really a piece or art. I like it more every time I watch it.

28 Weeks Later
(2007)

Amazing
I can't believe how good this movie was. I'm a big fan of 28 Days Later, the way it was made, everything. When this first movie opens up, you won't even think it's the sequel to 28 Days Later. But then the action happens, everything is fast paced and the camera doesn't look like the budget was $100.00 At first I was disappointed that it wasn't filmed like 28 Days Later, but as the movie went on I grew to accept that fact because the movie just got incredible. Need I say it? I liked it better than 28 Days Later.

It's very gruesome, and just like the first one, it's people fighting zombies and people fighting the army a little bit. But this movie had everything and some scenes were jaw-dropping. I'm not going to give any away for spoiler purposes.

But go see this movie!
