Not only did JJ Abrams not know the first thing about Star Trek, what he did go and learn he decided to intentionally destroy. I could spend WEEKS listing all the idiotic things in this movie... First of all, before ANYTHING else, no matter WHAT you think, there was no reason to completely destroy the Star Trek universe by blowing up Vulcan. It was Abrams taking a dump on the ENTIRE history of Trek. As a story point is was stupid, too. And WAY too easy. This fact alone ensures that I will never watch another Abrams product - no matter what it is (let alone his next Trek movie).

You know, I don't even want to waste any more time listing the other many idiotic elements of this un-inspired lame movie (the enemy was flat, the story had been done over and over, etc.). Uhura and Spock!?! Right, another stupid move. They go on and on. I will say that I liked the shuttlecraft (except the stupid idea of beaming across light years from one).

If you hate Star Trek, go see this movie. It's juvenile and standard Abrams, so you may like it. If you have any respect for Star Trek then this is a slap in the face to you.

OK, I am pretty forgiving and can enjoy a lot of stupid movies. But I REALLY don't get what it is people like about this movie! I like a lot of the actors, but the jokes were NOT funny. I mean maybe 5% of the jokes worked. It was like a long bad SNL skit or something. I just really rally don't get it. I would rather watch Weekend at Bernie's 2 three times in a row than see this again. This movie was flat, unfunny, and just a complete waste of time. I am sorry, I really wanted it to be good, but I think I laughed once the entire time.

Molly Shannon was good, but still not that funny. I imagine when reading the script it may have seemed funnier than it was. Someone said it was going to be a classic and be quoted form like Caddyshack! PLEASE!!

OK, I was hoping this movie would be OK, but MAN was it bad! I even gave it a lot of leeway because I figured since it was based on a comic there were things that made more sense in the comic itself. Then I found out from someone that there WAS NO COMIC! What a scam!! You don't make a movie like this, even showing comic book covers in the beginning, if it's NOT REALLY A COMIC! Man, after I heard that I really wanted my $10 back. Apart from a cool chase scene and a few visually, ahem, stimulating scenes, this is a complete waste of time.

Jovovich is kinda flat, too. I like the way the colors change and some of the shots are quite cool. But overall it didn't make a lot of sense and after the umpteenth scene with Violet killing hundreds of guys in the same way you just get bored. There was not even a lead up to a character who could REALLY challenge the hero. Why was she SO much better than everyone else? It's never explained. I guess I will have to read to comic to find out... oh WAIT!
