Prey
(2022)

I watched it coz I wanted to find out why they titled it "Prey" instead of "Predator" this time.
I didn't get the answer, however. It seemed like those French guys were after the Yautja. So it was the prey, in a sense? And were those natives supposed to be baits? The thing was, the Yautja was supposed to be like a modern-day bowhunter of some kind and didn't sport real high-tech weapons except for the usual red-dot laser site, probably by choice. It made the battle scene more interesting than the usual garden variety predator for sure.

Morbius
(2022)

5 for good acting by all and also Adria
I get why people gave a rather low review. I wouldn't give anything higher than 5 either. And THAT is also a rounded up 5. It's the story. SOOO FLAT. Everything else is fine to me though. Given the character, basically a vampire (meaning just way too overtold origin story), it must be hard to make it original or exciting, I suppose.

The Batman
(2022)

It was a LOOONG enduring CRAP unfortunately.
I stayed watching for three things: Zoey was so cute and sexy as ever; Robert was great doing his thing (playing dark disturbed troubled soul) as always; the visual was stunning. The story was BOOOOORING. Probably the worst rendition of Batman including lots of those anime Batman features. As a film, I don't quite know what to make of it. I thought the TV series, GOTHAM, was the WORST. This one DEFINITELY TOP THAT FOR SURE!!! PHULEEESE just don't make any sequels.

Moonfall
(2022)

Independence Day 2.0: Typical Roland Emmerich
The guy really likes this genre and shines. Yet another conspiracy theory turns out to be true. And those outcast and ridiculed as loser and crazy end up saving the world. Looks like they are planning to come up with a sequel if it makes enough money to sell its idea. If they do, I say don't wait decades and don't suck it. LOL.

In from the Cold
(2022)

I watched it just coz Margarita.
I didn't know or care much about the series itself but Margarita is in it. To me, she has the most exquisite face: The sweetest and the sexiest. I thought it would be like one of those plain sleeper agent spy actions. She did play a character like that in one of those series got cut after only 1 season several years ago. And then, surprise surprise. My jaw dropped at the end of the first episode like WTF? The ending was somewhat predictable after they showed the scene the mother snapped the finger and implied Anya was also under some hypnotic suggestion program. I would title the series, "Sugar." There was a slightly old movie "Salt" with Angelina Jolie who played a Russian sleeper agent. In that, she ended up going against Russia. In this series, Margarita APPEARED TO BE woken up from the deep hypnosis by killing the mother as a trigger to plot against the US. I hope they decide to go ahead with the second season. BTW, again, Margarita looked great.

The Book of Boba Fett
(2021)

Just can't love this "BOOK" enough!!! Thanks Fav!!!
When they started the other show a couple of years ago, it took me a while to get interested. And watched the first season all together in the middle of the second season started coz I heard they were bringing back Boba.

I'm in my early 50s who saw the first trilogy in theaters. To my generation, it was a whole different experience in a entirely different time. So far I watched up to the episode 4. And all my dreams about Boba from my childhood came true!!! He jumps out of the space graboid. He kills the monster with feeding a grenade on Slave 1. Not only gets his old self back but becomes wiser and grow out of the lone wolf bounty hunter gig to be a head of the five families. This "BOOK," I JUST CAN'T PUT DOWN!!! Thanks Fav!!! You are FAVULOUS!!!

The Informer
(2019)

Col. Flag goes undercover?
Pretty good casting. The story was also good. A pretty good entertainment. Somewhat predictable. But, in these days, which movie ain't? In the end, all the sleazebags met their demise. So I am okay with that.

The Hot Zone
(2019)

People need to watch this "NOW."
Thank Nat Geo for this show. Because who the perpetrator turned out to be, MSM did not report much on this case. Back then, I was still kina young and naivte. Besides there weren't many ways and means to find out much on things do not fit narratives of the powers that be. I hope they will do a season on the Covid-19 EVENTUALLY. Say in 2040 or so?

Invasion
(2021)

Just too damn SLOW... Slower than Foundation!!! Get it?
I fell asleep in the middle of it. Every single episode is WAY WAY WAAAY slow, even at 2-time speed. Probably the worst series among all the ATV+ has ever come up with so far. Maybe I should stop watching weekly and wait till the season is over and then watch them all in once.

Army of Thieves
(2021)

I agree with some
I DO agree with some reviewers here, as a film entertainment , this is a FAR better one than its prequel sequel, AOZ. I did watch the other one with a much higher expectation than this one. But all I got was a bit messier and bloodier version with weird meaningless twists and turns making the runtime longer. I rated 2 or 3 stars on this site if my memory serves me right. This one, I rated 10 for a movie I would have given 8. The bonus 2 came from Nathalie Emmanuel. She's sooo PERFECT. Just can't get 'nuf of her.

The Blacklist: Konets
(2021)
Episode 22, Season 8

WTF
So what the heck was she supposed to be? I still didn't get it after watching the last episode a couple of times. And the lil girl is left with no one since both her parents are dead.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw
(2019)

Loved it.
This is what 2 Fast 2 Furious, Tokyo Drift, The man from UNCLE, I Spy, and all the rest tried to be and failed miserably. I hope this is gonna be a new franchise. Only shame is, there is no single original Fast & Furious chacter in it.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters
(2019)

Despite of all the negative reviews
You gotta embrace this origin story (of the nightmarish Monster Verse) thoroughly told with plenty of easter eggs, both hatched and unhatched.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix
(2019)

I rated 10 because
I have never been a X-men "comic" fan but, for some reason, have always been a X-men "movie" fan. I am particulary a fan of the semi-rebooted franchise with the X-men team and others not just fighting with one another but battling enemies of humanity together in the sorta realistic alternate historical setting. This installment appeared to be yet another clear departure from existing interpretations of the series which might not be well received by hardcore X-men fans (hence the rather low rating) but was a great-watch for someone like me.

Captain Marvel
(2019)

Nothing really wrong, but nothing really special...
Brie is so incredibly cute in this film. If I were casting director, however, I would have picked January Jones. I always have thought, J.J. looks exactly like the comic book ver. of Capt. M.
