Very unusual & complex episode. While viewing many of the previous Brokenwood Mysteries it had been a challenge but not an impossible task of picking out the culprit about two thirds or so into an episode by either elimination or the appearance of an unsuspecting character. This one was complicated by inserting not only a death but a missing body along with the game. Excellent writing!

Have enjoyed Melissa in other Hallmark movies and loved Duane in NCIS, but they had absolutely no chemistry in this. It was excruciating and couldn't watch it til the end. And where was the snow??!!

Ann Francis with 1960's makeup & attire in an 1890's era western story, mismatched musical score which was too "upbeat" in the wrong scenes, overacting by most of the actors; and too top it off an ending that would've made me throw up my popcorn if I had seen this in the theater back then. Poor Clint Walker!

I haven't decided yet which show is worse, this one or Deputy. Any firefighter watching this one probably feels as sick as a police officer watching Deputy. Too bad. Really liked Rob Lowe in the past.

Like another review mentioned, this one has a fresh, unusual and surprising story. Great cast, no overacting and superb singing. Kristin Chenoweth's stage talent added a lot to it. The main characters worked well together. Great ending too.

Why do Lifetime movies have to have continuous, almost annoying music playing throughout all of their holiday movies to the extent of nearly drowning out dialogue at times? Hallmark uses music very sparingly & tastfully to merely accentuate scenes.

We love Alicia Witt. She's always been at the top of our list of Hallmark actresses. The problem with this movie was the mismatch with Brendan Hines' dry acting who showed little warmth in meeting up with someone he really loved.

I can't understand why all the bad reviews. This show is actually funny for a change. It's unlike the other predictable sitcoms that have pea brain, dysfunctional characters and the humor is from their stupidity. Also, the cast of characters in this show are all great and some are veterans from very successful shows (NCIS, Big Bang, etc). They have great comedic timing, especially the main characters.

Unbelievable statement at the end about cops keeping an empty chamber on their weapons. Real bad info. Whoever was the technical advisor should've been fired.
