Plot details are being kept firmly under wraps, but we do know that Alden Ehrenreich will play the Star Wars scoundrel made famous by Harrison Ford. If Solo can match the success of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which took more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office, this could be the first of many origin stories for our favorite characters from a galaxy far, far away.

Tom Cruise’s latest mission looks to be a direct continuation of Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation with writer/director Christopher McQuarrie returning along with the ensemble cast. Bullock will lead the crew as Debbie Ocean, the estranged sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney), who attempts to pull off the heist of the century.

Sci-fi action movie Predator spawned a series of sequels and crossover films, but none could match the 1987 original. The strong ensemble cast includes Sterling K. Brown, Jacob Tremblay, and Yvonne Strahovski.

This video game adaptation about archaeologist-adventurer Lara Croft stars Alicia Vikander as a more lean version of the popular character, first made famous by PlayStation in the 1990s and later by two adaptations starring Angelina Jolie. Anyone who played the 2013 reboot of the series will recognize scenes in the trailer for the upcoming movie, in which Croft must use her brain and brawn after finding herself on the island where her father disappeared.

Jurassic World was a monster hit in 2015, ranking fourth in the all-time box office with $1.67 billion. Whether it can repeat that success remains to be seen, but Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles and are joined by Jeff Goldblum, who starred in the first two Jurassic Park movies 25 years ago. R-rated superhero movie Deadpool was a surprise smash hit on its 2016 release, making $783 million at the global box office. So it was inevitable that the “merc with a mouth,” played with glee by Ryan Reynolds, would be back for more. While the plot remains secret, we do know that Josh Brolin will be introduced as Cable, a cybernetically enhanced warrior from the future. The innovative marketing that helped with the success of the first film in now in full swing for the sequel, with this trailer offering a welcome alternative to what we have come to expect from superhero movies.

2. Black Panther

Following his introduction in Captain America: Civil War, fans have been awaiting a standalone movie for Black Panther. The first full trailer for the movie promises something distinct from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will see King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) return home to the technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda. But when two enemies conspire to bring down the kingdom, T’Challa must take action as the Black Panther to prevent a world war. It will mark the final MCU film before Avengers: Infinity War, indicating this will also serve as a lead-in to the superhero epic.

1. Avengers: Infinity War

This epic superhero clash marks the beginning of the end. The movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have all been leading to this epic battle, in which the Avengers join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to fight cosmic supervillain Thanos ... and not everyone is expected to survive. Infinity War will be the first of two movies that will end what is known as Phase 3 in the MCU. It will open nearly 10 years to the day that Iron Man was first released, launching a new wave of superhero movies. The story will conclude with the Untitled Avengers Movie in 2019.
