- A man, objecting to being filmed, comes closer and closer to the camera lens until his mouth is all we see. Then he opens wide and swallows camera and cinematographer. He steps back, chews, and grins.
- The titles tell us this film is based on an incident in the Boxer Rebellion. A man tries to defend a woman and a large house against Chinese attackers. They attack with swords, guns, and paddles. He's over-matched. What will become of the mission, its defenders, and its occupants?

He walks through jump-roping girls, runs into a mule, walks into the only other person on an empty street, and then walks into the path of a steamroller. Two cyclists approach his flattened body. Out come their air pumps, and soon our genial hero has set off again, nose in his book.

- If you are seeking a Feature Film we can recommend this to fill the bill in every particular. The picture is full of sentiment and will actually cause tears to flow before the end is reached. A Soldier of the British army after being decorated returns to the little village which he left when a boy and immediately wends his way to his old home expecting to find his old mother with whom he expected to live for the remainder of his life. To his astonishment and pain, he learns from a neighbor that his mother, too poor to pay her rent, had been sent to the County Institution. He inquires the way there and on being informed goes hither instantly and demands to see his mother. She appears and they fall into each other's arms, the mother wiping away her tears. The brave soldier tells his mother that she must leave the place at once and commands her to come with him, which she does. The picture again changes showing the old lady seated in the doorway of their old home knitting, while her son plants flowers before the house. He rises and lighting his pipe proceeds to plant more flowers when he enters the house and returns with a cup of hot tea which the old lady apparently enjoys. Thus the picture ends. This is a complete story without words and we do not hesitate in saying that no matter where it is shown, it will appeal to old and young alike and will move any audience to tears. No expense has been spared to make this film perfect in every respect. Wonderfully beautiful.

- This film tells a pathetic story of a soldier who has received a telegram telling him that if he wishes to see his father alive he must come at once. The soldier asks permission to leave the barracks to go to the bedside of his father. The permission is refused. After consultation with a comrade, the summoned soldier decides to slip away, and makes a start. He is betrayed by another soldier. The pursuit that follows shows many novel and striking scenes. The soldier reaches the bedside of his dying father just before the pursuing officers arrive and take him into custody.

- Motion picture films of the coronation of King Edward VII, which took place on August 9th, 1902, were ready for delivery from our factory at Orange, N. J., on the 18th the Monday, next following. A cablegram from our special photographers in London on August 9th, 1902, advised us that they had secured the complete pictures on that day, that the pictures were sent to Queenstown, and placed on board the fast steamship "Umbria" of the Cunard Line, Sailing Sunday, August 10th, 1902. Thus we were enabled to receive the coronation films in America at least three days in advance of mail matter which was posted in London on the day of the coronation.
