Avril Lavigne wants to be an 'X Factor' judge. The 27-year-old singer - who dueted with finalist Chris Rene in the season one finale - has reportedly approached show boss Simon Cowell about the prospect of taking one of the vacant seats on the panel following the axing of Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. According to gossip website TMZ, Avril believes she would be a good addition to the show because she started her music career when she was just 17 so thinks she would be in a useful position to advise the contestants.
