
Kowloon Generic Romance Anime & Live-Action Adaptions Are Meant To Be Watched Together As Its Interconnected, Reveals Producer

In a recent interview with Mantan Web, producer Ryoya Arisawa revealed that the anime and live-action adaptations of Kowloon Generic Romance were planned as companion pieces from the very beginning.
According to him, both versions are designed to be watched together, offering two sides of the same story and forming a complete viewing experience.
The anime and film are being produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks and mark the company’s first attempt at an intentionally interconnected anime and live-action project.
“Our company has long been involved in Japanese live-action films. While I primarily work in anime, I’ve also handled tokusatsu projects, and through that connection, I’ve worked with director Koichi Sakamoto on late-night dramas.
